It was a great value with the quality evening time. In November, it’s getting dark early, so parents face a problem: how to keep kiddos entertained without much hassle and expense. In Cedar lodge, they have an indoor pool and a game room with table tennis, board games, and more. Truth be told, I had some hard time trying to keep them outside, as they were eager to go back to the hotel’s game room! And the location is very close to Yosemite national park. Also, I liked the lighting around the outdoor pool and the area next to the river

The only inconvenience is that there was only one microwave at the lobby for such a large facility. So if you want your food warm for the whole family, you have to run back and forth multiple times.

It was extremely lovely for its location however, sat right in front of the Merced River and a charming walkway alongside it with gazebos and benches scattered all along the path and was only a half-hour drive to the Arch entrance of Yosemite. The pillows were so nice I was tempted to take one, a fridge was provided as well as a coffee maker and the accompanying coffee. No microwave though, but, a restaurant on the premises and a market just 10 minutes up the road (7 am - 6 pm). There were three pools, one indoor and one for adults only which was a cool feature.

While it is a fairly nice place to stay, you really are paying for its location. While we had wifi, we could not use our devices without a signal, which we did not have given the lodge's location. Not to mention wifi was free, but, was only applicable for 2 devices at most, and any additional device you wanted would have to be charged and added to your account at the front desk.

The location was pretty decent when coming to Yosemite Park. It was outside the park but only 30 min (app) from the front entrance. It had lots of great amenities like 2 outdoor pools, an indoor pool and hot tub, and a pool table. Also had a mini store with some food and essentials which came in handy. The room was way nicer than I expected and turned out to be better than the pictures listed.

When trying to use the bath jets, upon turning it on, multiple bugs sprayed out as my girlfriend was trying to use it. It seemed like it hadn't been run in a bit, so the pipes weren't very cleared up. However, after running it for a bit, it cleared up and became usable. Other than that, everything went better than I had expected.

The cedar lodge really exceeded our expectations! I don’t know if they had just updated some of the rooms recently, but we stayed in a double queen suite and it was much nicer and cleaner than the pictures and even had a full kitchen that wasn’t listed! Highlight of the stay was the gorgeous stream across from the lodge, so peaceful and great for a swim. Such a good price for such a nice place so close to the Yosemite entrance, would definitely stay again next time.

Wifi could have been better, but couldn’t expect too much being so out in the wilderness

The location is great! About 30 min to the Valley (assuming little or no traffic, which is a bad assumption in busy times of the year). It's a nice, very expansive place. Didn't use the pools on our trip, but they looked nice. Everything was basic but clean. Slept very comfortably!

Breakfast (not included) was very pricy, so we opted to eat in the park. WiFi was also not included ($10 / day when we stayed). Our room also had very few accessible outlets (in fact, one of the lights was not plugged in because it was a trade-off between that, the fridge, the coffee maker, or one of our chargers). It's just a motel complex from a different era. It works and is kept up well, but it's ultimately very basic. That's not a bad thing; just have to be aware.

Not far from the Arch Rock Entrance. Hot water ans coffee available at any Time.

Air conditioner very noisy. Bedroom's wall in need for a good refurbishment. No electric kettle which is quite surprising too. The lady at the front desk for the check-in was awful. So much so that when she gave us the lodge leaflet, mentioning "we are so delighted to host you..." I couldn't help telling her if I landed in the right place...

Location relative to Yosemite NP was great especially for the nightly rate which was about half of Yosemite in-park accommodations. The room was comfortable, the staff was super friendly, the little store in the lobby was well stocked, there was a bar next door that served drinks and a bar menu and the restaurant attached to the bar served breakfast sandwiches and drinks. All very convenient.

The bed and Pillows were so, so but nothing is like your homes bed and favorite pillow

The best bit is the pool - so lovely and hot.

There is NO WiFi and NO phone reception making planning our visit to Yosemite challenging. And the worst bit is the PLASTIC, all food is served in plastic plates, with plastic cutlery wrapped in more plastic wrapping!!

The location is hard to beat at the price- it's only about a 30 minute drive from Yosemite Valley, but isn't extremely expensive like some of the stays within the valley itself. The staff were very friendly and even accommodated an early check-in for my group. The room was clean and met our expectations. The bathroom itself seemed recently renovated and was quite nice, and clean towels were provided. Wifi access is an additional fee, but I understand that it is uniquely difficult to provide wifi in this location. The hotel has 3 pools, a game room, a restaurant on site, and a gift store on site that also has frozen and packaged foods.

Some negatives we noticed in regard to the room were that the AC is very loud and not very effective at cooling the room, and there was no microwave to reheat food.

The location really is stunning amazing. So close to Yosemite entrance it's very hard to beat without being actually in the park. Due to having a bit of a disaster with our luggage on our flight we didnt get to the hotel until 2am but they the staff were still around and we were able to check in. The pool was nicer than I had thought. I liked the balcony on our room overlooking the green mountains.

The rooms are very dated and they were building a lot of new ones too whilst we were there which affected us being able to park outside our room. It feels like the could do with investing some of that money into the existing rooms.
