Our stay at Certosa was nothing more than spectacular! We had to make a last minute change to our plans for our homeymoon due to weather and chose to come to Siena and stay here and what a great decision that was! The property is beautiful and just magnificent! Michelle and the whole staff at Certosa are amazing, we felt that every single need we had was covered. Whether it was transportation, food or activities to do the Certosa team went above and beyond! It was 5 star service across the board and was a perfect end to our honeymoon! I cannot recommend this place more — it made our stay in Siena truly the best and hope we can visit again in the future!

The property itself is beautiful and a little quirky. My room was gorgeous and very comfortable - the shower was so lovely! Great restaurant also with an interesting menu. Breakfasts were also very good. What really made the property stand out though was the exceptional service. Pre arrival I had been in contact with Alessia and Paula from reception and they were just as lovely in person as they were over email. Every member of staff was so friendly and charming, but I have to give a special mention to Antonio in the bar - what an amazing guy who embodies fantastic customer service - and he makes the BEST hot toddies!! Already looking forward to my return! Thanks for everything!!

The property is stunning and set in a most beautiful Tuscan location. The history of the property , having been a Monastery , is really interesting.simply gorgeous Tuscan architecture , with its own beautiful working church within the building. The most wonderful part of the experience was the staff, lead by Michelle who is the best example of how to make guests feel special and like friends. Nothing was ever a problem. The masseuse was also amazing The food was delicious All in all , I would say without being over enthusiastic , that this had been the best hotel experience , for several reasons , that I have enjoyed. The premise and the scenery are breathtaking. It is the ideal sanctuary for a few days away from pollution, noise, and crowds. All within a very reasonable price. The staff was kind and welcoming which made the stay feel so homie. Also, great music taste around the premises(and the staff was so kind to share the Spotify playlist). Dinners at the restaurant were quite good & you have the option to modify the dish to your liking. Cute friendly labrador wanting to be petted is a big plus for dog lovers too. All in all, I had a lovely stay. Would like to come back. Keep up the great work! If I had to be picky - perhaps an upgrade of the mattress would be worth it.

Our experience here was magical. This was my favorite hotel experience of our Italian travels. The grounds were gorgeous, and the staff were charming, accommodating, lovely people—real hospitality professionals well-suited to their careers. The breakfasts were delicious, and the environment was idyllic, complete with a wood fireplace amidst an enormous spread of choices. Nights drinking wine by the outdoor fire pit, laughing, and reconnecting with friends made for the most beautiful memories. And board games in a well-appointed sitting room provided entertainment on a stormy, albeit cozy evening. We hated leaving here.

The bar menu options could be expanded. Perhaps we were spoiled with amazing pizzas from around Tuscany, but the pizza from the bar should be skipped. More beer variety and bar menu options would be appreciated by the guests spoiled by the rest of the amazing hospitality.

Firstly we want to thank the hotel and all the staff. This was the most luxurious hotel we have ever stayed in and we are very well travelled. From the greeting to the room to the pool, to the cleanliness to the staff everything was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble and the whole focus of the staff was to make the guests happy, which we were. We had a suite and it was stunning. Very large, clean and serviced daily. My son slept on the sofa bed and it was probably the most comfortable sofa bed we have ever known! The bed in our room was huge and very very comfortable. Plenty of storage space for clothes etc and everything you can wish for waiting in the bathroom with a huge shower. The food was exceptional and our visits to the restaurant in the evening left you wanting for nothing. The wine list was exceptional too. We really could not ask for more and wish we had stayed another night or two.

If you are looking for a truly exceptional atmosphere, this is your hotel. Nestled within the hills outside of Siena, this place is a gem when it comes to the exquisite buildings and the restaurant. Food top notch. We had breakfast and dinner there. I had the best Parmiggiana Melanzana of my whole life. Delicious food! Room a bit dated, which wouldn't keep us from staying there again, though. Super helpful staff. I forgot my ipad in the room 🙈 and they sent it to Switzerland and took great care it didn’t get lost. Thank you so much!

The room a bit dated. Families with kids at the pool that took over the whole pool. I have kids too but am always aware of other guests’ needs.

I cannot say enough good things about La Certosa Di Maggiano. When we arrived we were greeted as if we were family. The entire staff was friendly and beyond accommodating. Looking for a reservation off property, no problem. Need a car/taxi, no problem. Want a suggestion for an activity/tour, no problem. The entire property was amazing. Every nook and cranny held something to admire. The grounds were spacious and well kept. Our family took an on premise cooking class and had an amazing time. Not only did we make a ton of pasta, stuffed chicken and tiramisu, but then they made sauces for each. We enjoyed our hard work on the patio with wine, cheese, meats and bread. It was incredible!!! A special thanks to Michelle for a great experience. 💕

Absolutely nothing!!!

The atmosphere was absolutely stunning! It was total highlight of our travel through Tuscany. The property with its gardens is very spacious and everyone has a lot of privacy. I would like to thank you for accepting children and not excluding them from the most beautiful areas like it happens in many other hotels. We do our best to teach the them to understand the atmosphere of places. Therefore in your hotel we could enjoy our holiday time as a family all together and share the experience of this magical place! We will hopefully come back!

We had a lunch at the beautiful restaurant. The true is, that we waited really looong for the meal to come. Otherwise there was really nothing to complain about.

Excellent staff, beautiful decor, and stunning property. The breakfast was delicious. The staff went above and beyond. They responded to my emails before my arrival and made all requested arrangements. The rooms are comfortable and charming with little touches that give them a simple elegance. I was traveling with adults, but I could see families with children enjoying it as well. The pool was heaven and the grounds magical. I am still dreaming of this place and hope to return someday.
