Staff lovely, really friendly & helpful, including their patience helping me practise my spanish! Beds with lockers, night lights & blackout curtains well-designed. And the free activities were great! Thankyou

The mixed dorm had a few setbacks - off internal courtyard so no natural ventilation & got very stuffy overnight; need hooks by each bed in room to hang towels to dry; and my mattress was uncomfy on the first night - i could feel the springs. However when i told the staff in the morning they apologised & turned my matress, added padding & it was fine after that! Very much appreiated.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Casa Pepe in Puebla!! The staff are so kind and genuine. I met a lot of great travelers here. They offer lots of activities every day to meet people. Breakfast was included with my booking.com reservation and it was soooo yummy!!! Not your traditional toast and cereal hostel breakfast, but an actual authentic Mexican breakfast. The 6 bed dorm I stayed in had A/C! I got lucky because another traveler I met who was also staying in a 6 bed dorm did not have A/C in their room so I would ask or request that room if possible!

The bed was so-so comfortable. The price of the room definitely made up for it!

10/10 would HIGHLY recommend!! The breakfast was amazing and was included with my purchase. It's literally served at the restaurant on site, table service, with traditional Mexican dishes. How did I get so lucky?? I extended my stay twice and I still want to go back!! The 6 person dorm is spacious, spotless, and has a huge shower with hot water and a separate bathroom with a toilet. The dim lighting creates a cozy ambience that made me feel like I was staying in a 5 star hotel rather than a hostel. The kitchen is large, the bar is plentiful even though I don't drink, and overall this stay exceeded my expectations. The staff here go above and beyond to ensure that you are happy, but that's a common theme around Mexico in general. As a solo female traveler I recommend Casa Pepe if you value cleanliness, coziness, friendliness, and spaciousness. The unlitimate dream for a girly with high standards! Everything was perfect!

Amazing place, especially for the price. The staff is great and so welcoming. The place is ideally located to explore El Centro.

The staff of the hotel is amazing and very dedicated. The breakfast is delicious and the wait staff is very attentive, dedicated and professional, but they are understaffed and run around constantly. The restaurant gets very busy in the morning, and I don’t know they handle everything. They really need to put additional people on the floor.

One of the most comfortable hostels ever! First of all, the bed is incredible: perfect privacy curtain and sturdy pod-style beds that guarantee perfect darkness while sleeping. The free breakfast is an a la carte style meal that includes a juice and fruit. The location is very good right on the edge of the old town. They also organise a bunch of events every day so meeting people should be easy, and the staff is super nice and helpful.

The bathroom set-up is weird: toilet and shower are separate but the sink is in the shower room so if someone is showering, you can't wash your hands. It also really makes you notice how many people don't wash their hands after using the bathroom :/

The location was UNBEATABLE. On a quiet street in the midst of some of the most beautiful streets in the historic center with cafes and bars and restaurants all around. The staff were great, and though I didn't participate in most of the events offered, it was amazing that they hosted so many. I got a private room and it was HUGE and very nice. The lobby, restaurant/bar, and seats out front are all great for relaxing. Breakfast was good! For the price I paid, it was an amazing deal.

It was mostly quiet in my room but noise transfer was occasionally bad, i could hear people talking from next door as if they were in my room a couple times. Mostly wasn't bad for a hostel! Wi-fi was only ok. For video calls I had to hotspot from my phone a few times because Casa Pepe's wi-fi wasn't strong enough, but was fine the rest of the time. Overall my room felt clean, but some things were dirty - the air conditioner remote was gross. The bed was a bit hard and pillows a bit lumpy, but doable. The towels were clean but falling apart with strings hanging.

-Loved all the staff, so friendly and always in a good mood and ready to help. They were flexible when i asked to extend my stay and did not make it complicated -Loved the delicious breakfast, i never had so many options for an included breakfast, it allowed me to taste a lot of typical food i wanted to try! -The location is really nice: close to the bus stop and city center -Every facilities was always clean!

-I was in the 6 mixed dorm and the wifi doesn't reach -Our bathroom had this typical sewer smell coming up but there's not much they can do about it realistically

Wow Casa Pepe totally exceeded my expectations! The hostel itself is very clean, incredibly comfortable and has great facilities(lots of social areas, a games area, a bar/restaurant, a kitchen etc). It is also in a very handy location that means it is only a short walk to many sights, restaurants and museums. The best part of this hostel is undoubtedly the staff and activities. There are multiple (around 4) activities to do per day so because of this your stay is always interesting and very social as it's so easy to meet people. The walking tours are all fantastic and a great way to see the city. I would also really recommend the maiz workshop in Cholula (for 300 pesos you get to know how everything is made, make your own tortillas from scratch and then eat some delicious maiz based food along the way). The staff are so friendly and genuinely invested in making your stay as good as possible. I was in Puebla during independence day and it could not have been more fun- the hostel organized a whole night for us so that for only 200 pesos we got 6 dishes, unlimited drinks, loads of activities and then we went out to the grito and clubbing with guests and staff afterwards - it has been one on my best memories in Mexico! That I had to leave

Hotel rooms and bathroom very spacious, large and comfortable beds with reading lights. Nearly no daylight, which is due to the tradicional way of construction of the building. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice location in a relatively quiet street. Very good Mexican or internacional style breakfast. Big offer of activities for every day of the week.

Warning: The staff is obliged to charge you for any damage created, por example stained towels. Before we came the first time (this was already the third stay) I received a mail that I had to recognize the rules of the hotel, including the upload of a copy of both passports and signature by fingerprint. If your smartphone does not support fingerprints, you have no chance to finish the process. This has cost me half an hour of work and the good karma of a whole evening, I didn't find this funny. The good news is that you also can ignore this message and sign the rules of the hotel upon arrival.

The staff is incredibly nice and there are a lot of thought out into organising tours, whether it is history, food or sports tour. The rooms are great, we had two shower room and a toilet in the room, that was great, you didn't have to leave the room in the middle of the night if you wanted to go to the toilet. The location is very handy as well, you are close to everything from the history center. And the price was very cheap. Highly recommend the Casa Pepe.

The pillow was too high for me, but I am very picky when it comes to the pillows.
