If it is within your budget, I believe you will be very well pleased with your stay here. Everything about it is a class act. Normally I’d write more, but truthfully, that’s enough. It is a fantastic hotel. With one qualification as follows. But here’s the thing. Would I, personally, stay here again? Probably not. I slept okay but, for me, the beds were a bit on the hard side. And my sleep wasn’t as great as at another hotel that I tried on this visit. So I moved back to my favorite hotel of this trip, noting to you that it does not have a gym, swimming pool, or restaurant (so please don’t rule out Cartesiano if you want a gym and swimming pool). To give you an analogy, it’s like a restaurant where the food is great, but there is that one person who is a little more sensitive to saltiness than the majority of people, who would not enjoy the meal as much even though the food is great. Well, that is me, respect to bed comfort. I don’t like hard beds, and am just OK with semi hard beds. I came to Puebla in January 2024, with the intention of seeing museums that we had missed when we were here in October 2023, visiting more restaurants, that we did not have an opportunity to dine at, and to try a different hotel, each for two nights, before moving onto another hotel. The intention was to check out several hotels at various price points for comfortable beds, because, you see, in Mexico a lot of times, the beds can be very hard, and in some cases it is like sleeping on concrete. Hotels opt for harder beds because they last longer before needing to be replaced. So on this particular trip, I visited many hotels during the day to check out the beds, and stayed in four different ones over the length of my vacation of two weeks.

See my comment above on my personal need for a slightly softer bed.

The place is beautiful and unique. The staff was helpful and allowed us BOTH early check in and late check out! The building is an adaptive reuse of a former tile factory, and lots of the original building details are preserved, so this is definitely not your cookie-cutter hotel! Really fun, with many indoor and outdoor public spaces - courtyards, fountains, library, etc. The rooftop pool and sun deck are fabulous (perfect for doing a bit of remote work!). We were in the old factory part of the building, which was cool (bits of fresco still visible on the walls), but still clean and modernized. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom spacious and with excellent shower. The location perfect, just a couple of blocks from the zocalo. We chose not to eat our meals in the hotel, and found charming local places nearby.

Although the room was spacious (huge, actuallY!), there was no lounge chair for reading. There was only one small window up high in the wall, so the room was dark. And, strangely, only two little hooks to hang towels in the bathroom.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Incredibly comfy beds and the best showers we’ve had in Mexico! The food at the restaurant was so good, I almost didn’t want to eat out (but you have to because hey, it’s Puebla!). The pool area was fabulous. Plus, the staff all mostly spoke English (if you’re in Puebla, not everyone does) and were all very helpful.

The actual spa is a little overpriced. A “day pass” (800 pesos) really just gets you into a steam room and a generic spa and small pool for one hour (so why call it a day pass?!). So I had a massage and face mask and got the hour for free, but it cost me $290 Australian and while the boy was good, I can’t say that was value for money (when massages are so cheap in Mexico). And when I finally got in the spa it was freezing cold, and I thought the pool would be a salt pool but it was just a normal small (luke warm) pool. But the spa was the only disappointment of an otherwise perfect hotel

It was so clean and the beds so comfortable. Great location and staff. The shower was off the wall wonderful, so powerful and plenty of hot water.

Valet parking was more of a hindrance than a help as they wanted you to unload and then they drive it into the the garage which was just there. They could get rid of that. Also we weren’t warned that the swimming pool couldn’t be used as they were renovating the deck. There was quite a bit of dog barking overnight from behind the hotel.

This was a fabulous hotel! We had been traveling for a few weeks so were really glad that this had all the amenities to make this a relaxing stop for a few days. The rooftop pool is beautiful - we spent more than a few hours over the course of our stay enjoying sitting, reading, and swimming. The food was AMAZING! We don't usually eat at the our hotel restaurant except for breakfast but ended up having a lunch and a dinner there because it was so good! Beautiful grounds and a 2 minute walk from a few casual cafes. Another few minutes and you're right at the Zocalo. Bed was also the most comfortable of any during our 3 weeks in Mexico!

Great location, modern looking facility and clean.

The tv remotes did not work, the outdoor pool closed at 6pm, there was no information in the room regarding time of meals, amenities like spa, etc because we could not get the tv to work. Only valet parking so everything you wanted access to your car, you had to ask staff for your car keys.

Bed was super comfy, room and hotel were beautifully decorated. Toiletries were provided. We were able to check in early and also leave our bags in storage after check out. Location is good, walking distance to everything in the centre. Pool is nice and warm. Towels and suncream are provided on the terrace.

Waiter asked "No tip?" after we signed the receipt for breakfast which had a value of $0 as it was included in our stay. We didn't have any cash on us and he said we could not charge it to our room as there was no credit card linked to it so it made us feel bad. We told reception about this incident and they confirmed tipping is optional and would feedback to the restaurant staff. We have been tipping in most cases in Mexico but at a 5* hotel we would expect staff to be paid a good wage so that they do not have to rely on tips to live. Also, when breakfast is included in a stay then service should be too.

Great hotel, and a honestly a nice unexpected surprise. Big room, comfy bed, walk in enormous shower. Friendly staff, delicous dinner in the hotel restaurant (ground floor). Very well thought through architecture, attention to details, good lighting. Good price.

all stairs in the facilities look quite dangerous and have no barriers, so if travelling with kids - hold them tight.

The place is perfect - very close to the center of the city but also very quiet as all rooms are facing courtyard. Old building were skillfully transformed to a modern hotel. we were exploring the courtyards and the roof with swimming pool and the gym. Everything was flawless. Excellent place if I ever come to Puebla again I will stay only in this place
