Very nice and quite fishing village. The house located just right on the beach. We had a 3 room family hous with beutiful open kitchen and 3 separeted rooms with inv. bathrooms. Nice garden with private pool. Minibar was also available. This is an excellent choice for a big family ( we were with 4 kids) or friends together. Very nice staff and also a nice breakfast with a fool rnge od friut juice.... Very nice location for snorkeling just a front of the garden. Beautiful corals also can see. It was an impoertant reason to choose this appartmant. We also could see fishermens leaving at 5 a.m and returned 8-9 a.m. Also little restaurants around with fresh fish. Turtle bay in walking distance . Very nice diving centers also availavel , We were at ECO-DIVE which is highly recommended in quality and pricing of our dives.

Local restaurant tried to make some mix of continental kitchen and local food. Would have been better to stay with a local food. We had much better local food in Sanur. Should have been better the coctails in quantitty and quaity. BUT local fsherman restaurants gave a perfect food. Unfortunately local small shops had no fresh fruits and other staff. We had to take a taxi to go to Amed to buy most of the fruits , snacks and drinks . Massage were great in AMED

Walking into Life in Amed, is like walking into paradise. The garden and pool area is picturesque. The property and gardens are well maintained. We stayed in a cottage and then moved to a 2 bedroom villa. The cottage is clean and cosy, with pool views. I love the villa, it is so spacious and beautifully presented. It has ocean views and a private garden. The staff are friendly and helpful. We dined at the restaurant on several occasions. The food is delicious and healthy. I love the 2 friendly house cats. There is an amazing spot to snorkel, from the beach near the hotel. My husband and I were surprised by the amount of coral and marine life at this location. It is spectacular, with very few people snorkelling. I noticed a sign at Lipah Beach which read "the best snorkelling spot", I'd have to disagree. The best snorkelling spot is near Life in Amed, by far!

A small property that felt like home or family - though better than both! Loved listening to the waves. Loved our seafront villa. Loved the offer of upgrade to the Perfumed Villa with its own pool and living area - perfectly suited for retreats. Loved the staff. Loved the food. Loved the quiet location away from the crowds and traffic elsewhere in Bali. Loved that there was a driver to take us to local places and to the airport. LOVED the resident cats - especially Manis who was my best friend at the villa. Loved witnessing local life and people and animals. Loved having a coral reef at our doorstep with turtles and fish of every shape and colour.

Having to leave it. Can’t wait to return with a retreat group and family.

A great place to unwind and do little. We mostly ate at the restaurant and the meals and service were exceptional. We stayed in one of the two story cottages facing the beach and really enjoyed watching the sunrise and comings and goings of the fishermen. You can organise transport to one of the nearby restaurants ie Sails if you feel like a change of scenery. They also organised for us to be taken to and from the Japanese shipwreck to snorkel but unfortunately the visibility was very poor that day so nothing to be seen, but that's just unlucky! Thouroughly recommend!

The villas are exquisite. We loved everything about them. We stayed in a 2 bed villa which was right on the beach. Was great to watch the fishermen come in each morning. It’s a really chilled out space and I would return in a heartbeat. The Breakfast options were delicious and the choice more than adequate to satisfy a few days. Would highly recommend.

The location is a little out of the way if you don’t want to eat at the onsite restaurant. There are a couple of warungs nearby. We liked Mad Made’s. Lipah beach has more options and is only a 10-15min walk or 5mins in a scooter.

We had the two bedroom villa right by the beach with our small baby. It was lovely. The pool is very nice. We really enjoyed the food in the restaurant, good options for lunch & dinner. Included breakfast was good. Staff were all very friendly and responsive.

The location is not on Amed Beach, it’s about 15 minutes away by car - the road is small and bumpy. We were right by the beach and were woken by cockerels/ roosters making a lot of noise early in the morning (4.45am!). Bathroom is a little old, needs updating.

We were thrilled with the comfort and style of the 3 bedroom villa, the private pool, the beautiful lush fragrant gardens, and very helpful, friendly staff, and loved the resident cats. Fresh towels daily, serviced rooms etc daily. The private area we had was just lovely, gardens hosed daily, outdoor furniture moved and cleaned daily. Pool cleaned daily. All our requests for extras like the organisation of scooters, etc were all met with help and ease. Yoga shala was lovely. Access to the water was easy, rubbish along the shoreshore.

We were naive to think we would get quiet. The boats right outside the grounds, which look so colourful on the web page, about 20 metres from villa are VERY noisy in the mornings, from about 7-8.30, very noisy machinery used in getting them back onto the beach after mornings fishing. Also the loud conversations between the fishing community. We didn't get a sleep in at all. There are a few nights where locals close to the resort had VERY LOUD BOOM BOOM karaoke, not the quiet Bali we have experienced. If we had been staying in a smaller front villa, we would have moved. Some of the locals kept hassling us for snorkelling equipment, and to visit their warungs. Kinda annoying.

Very comfortable cottages in local style with airco and fan, private outdoor shower and front porch, situated around the pool and garden with fragrant trees. The garden opens to the beach with snorkling and fisherman boats. Trips to other near by snorkling spots, temples and Mt Batur trekking are easily organised. Excellent food in the hotel and very friendly staff. Perhaps the best crispy sweet tempeh on Bali, also many other delicious local and international options. Great selection of breakfast options, smoothies, fruit juices and other drinks. Very friendly staff, traditional massage in the perfumed garden, yoga.
