the decor, the cleanliness, the ease in moving about the facility with my heavy luggage. the location was great.

not a breakfast or snack on the weekend stay. I didn't realize the whole kitchen was closed with zero to purchase either drink or food wise. no bottled water or refrigerator. the industry is continuously cutting back on services, even the important need for hydration, which is inexcusable. yet another enjoyment I was looking forward to in retirement is now out of the question for me.

We were upgraded because they said the room we'd reserved was not available. The upgraded room was quiet and had a mini fridge. The basic room would not have had a frig, which I think should be standard. The bed was a king and super comfortable.

I think our original choice, a basic (though always called 'superior" ?) would have had a view of the Cathedral. Our room did not, but we were able to go onto the top floor balcony (our upgraded room was on the top floor) and there was a fantastic view of the Cathedral and Rockefeller Theater lights in the other direction. So all was good!

Friendly staff, comfortable room, superb location with affordable price. 100% recommended.

Two things I did not like, 1) there was a small perfume bottle on the floor on the corner of the room, probably from the previous guest. This is not a big deal to me because the room looked sharp and clean anyway. 2) The room that was given to me was an adjoining room. A door, which was locked, separated the rooms. I was self conscious about disturbing the other guests with the tv and calls. I hope I did not disturb them. I could very little hear the tv from the other side sometimes. I imagine it could be annoying to have a loud guest in the other room. Luckily, that was not the case on this trip. I wish they had informed me in advance. In any case, it is not a deal breaker to me and I would book a room in this hotel again.

The location was excellent for walking to key tourist locations including central park. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the room was kept clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable although it is never the same as your own bed. The room had reasonable space and facilities, certainly enough for the amount of time spent there considering all the things to do in NYC.

The view from the room was quite dull and the street could be noisy, especially when it was dug up overnight. The elevator/lift was a bit slow but there weren't too many floors so this didn't cause too much of an issue. The general decoration and condition of the hotel was a bit dated and could do with modernising or renovating, it looked and felt its age, but this didn't really impact my stay.

Great sized room with a long hall that gave more privacy and made for a very quiet room. Very interesting property with a lot of history! Perfect location next to Rockefeller Center so we could see the Christmas tree anytime we wanted! Staff went above and beyond to hold our luggage and to get us a great table in the bar on a busy night. Also loved the St Patrick's Cathedral view from the solarium balcony

Location was great. Room and bathroom were a decent size and comfortable. The bathroom was updated but I loved that they kept the oversized tall tub which I happily used! Staff was nice.

Just minor, but as I said bath was updated, but no light over mirror/sink, just in center of ceiling which is annoying if grooming or doing makeup. Please put in lights over sink. Also could use charging outlets by bed, had to use the extension cord from the desk. This is easily solved if they replace the clock radio with the newer ones with charging outlets/ac and put on nightstand instead of the desk.

Great location. One of the comfiest hotel beds I’ve slept in! It’s an older building so a bit quirky. I’d definitely stay here again.

I’d suggest a fridge but to be honest it was great value for the location and a comfortable room so a minor point.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful They let us check in earlier than check in time everything in general felt super close to the hotel Very close to rockefeller center and st patrick’s cathedral The shower/bath/bathroom were really nice

There was 2 small stains on the bedsheets/comforter, everything else was clean though Booking said breakfast was served here but it isn’t, which is fine but not sure why its said on here Door was a little difficult to open and had to fidget with key for a bit usually, had to force it a little

Such helpful, friendly staff. Lovely comfortable pillows and bed. Glad the window could open! Older style hotel, but well run.

My booking said it was a king room with 1 bed, but I had twin beds, so only disappointment. Then would have been lovely if breakfast was available and a full time bar. Understand this isn't always possible. Either way, good value for money. Would stay again.

Lovely location for a quick girls weekend. Took my (adult) daughter up for her birthday and stayed in a twin room. We didn't need to use the heat and thought the twin room we ended up in was surprisingly spacious for NYC and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bath was also much more spacious than we expected (we are used to tiny rooms as we have been going almost annually for several years now and our usual hotel closed after Covid.) I watched for specials as January is a slow time and got a good deal - it's a wedding venue, but we didn't explore the place as we had too much else to do. Window opened which allowed us to easily control the temp in the room - we didn't need to turn on the heat.

Considering it was only 2 nights, we didn't really have time to explore the place much. Would stay again depending on the deal.
