The Hotel is exceedingly well placed for a tourist visiting New York. It is a short walk from Times Square and from multiple Subway lines. We explored all over New York with ease from here. The Hotel does not have an onsite restaurant or room service, but unless you specifically want this, there are a so many options for breakfast (great diner alongside St Patrick's - a 2 min walk) and of course dinner right on your doorstep. There' a Walgreens 50 yards away for snacks drinks and any other typical stuff you might need. The hotel does provide free Tea, Coffee and water from a lounge on the 2nd floor, which was well used by us :-) The staff were fantastic, friendly and really helpful. A big thumbs-up to them! We had rooms with balconies, they were roomy (for New York) bright and airy. Hanging out on the balcony was cool with views down to Radio City and up to St Patricks Cathedral and across to the Rockerfeller Centre. Close the windows and the noise of New York largely disappears and the comfy bed makes for a really good night's sleep. The ensuite bathroom was super clean and modern. Shower was great! There's a huge TV too - but I didn't use it :-) Air con works well. WiFi was great too - easily fast enough to watch Netflix on my iPad. We were really happy with our choice of hotel. If like us, you are intending to spend most of your time out exploring what New York has to offer, but want to come back to a chilled and comfy room to sleep and recharge, then the Jewel Hotel really is the gem you are looking for!!

I dont have anything negative to say about our stay - it was great.

The room was very spacious and clean. The staff was superb! Very helpful and attentive.

Not much to dislike, but the chairs in the room were very old, worn out and uncomfortable to sit in. The online pictures show the 2 bedroom suite as having a couch in the living room, but the couch only goes in the 1 bedroom suite. We were relying on the photos when we booked the 2 bedroom and were intending on having the couch

Great location, nice staff and 2nd floor lounge is very good for catching up on work; filtered water is very nice although the machine works very slowly (takes 5min to fill a bottle). Bed is comfortable.

wifi is okay - my video call keeps dropping every 5min despite having full signal. I forgot my slippers and asked to get a pair, only to find out that they do not provide it at all...

A small hotel, you could easily miss it if you don't know it's there, in a great location for exploring New York, just across from the Rockfellar Centre. My room was really quiet despite the great location. If you're looking to stay in the centre of New York, I would definitely recommend staying here. There's also a subway station just two blocks away.

Perfect central location for visiting Manhattan! Most attractions are within easy walking distance and for further travel the Metro station is nearby. Great rooms at the hotel, comfortable and with everything you need. Really helpful staff, anything you need the front desk will deal with immediately. We really enjoyed our stay!

Only minor thing which isn’t the fault of the hotel but is a slight inconvenience is that around the Christmas holidays the road outside (W 51st) gets closed by the NYPD in the afternoon/evening which means taxis cannot drop off or pick up outside. Just worth knowing if you arrive or plan to leave during those times.

This boutique hotel is located in a great location near Rockefeller Center and is pretty central to everything midtown. The staff .... when I tell you that the guests there receive white glove service, it is not an understatement! They greet you in a personal manner each time you enter the hotel; we will definitely be staying upon visiting NYC again in 2025.

There was a night (well 1:30am) where some guests decided to have a lengthy conversation in the hallway; it was quite distracting and kept me up. We also prefer a king-sized bed but the queen sized bed was comfortable and sizeable.

-It had a washer dryer on the 5th floor with detergent to use. -The staff was very nice and efficient -The location was the best. We could literally see Radio City Hall from our window. -The second floor had free coffee and a lounge area. -The parking garage was not far away. We could drop off our shopping bags during the week and they were all safe. -We felt incredibly safe the whole time we were there. -There is a little pizzeria two doors down that we loved. No frills, but good pizza. It was great to find a quick bite after a long day of sightseeing. -the rooms were updated and clean. We had such an incredible experience. We will be returning.

The best thing about The Jewel is its location - a block from Radio City, a couple blocks from Times Square, Broadway, the subway E train, which is nice because you're close to everything but not right in it. The space was roomy as NYC shoebox hotels go - it was neat and clean, the bathroom and shower were updated and well laid out. We also had a kitchenette which was good for breakfast combined with the coffee bar on the 2nd floor.

There wasn't really any place to put our bags, but space in NYC is always a challenge so the workaround is to unpack things into the drawers and closet, and tuck the bags wherever you can.

We were in town for a wedding on Saturday June 25. Everything about this hotel was amazing! The location, centrally located by Radio City Music Hall and Rockefeller Plaza, so convenient. The staff was so friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in the door. Check-in was effortless. The room was clean and neat, bed was very comfortable. Room was very quiet, we were able to sleep without hearing any noise from the rooms next to us or in the hallway. Little area in the room with a microwave, coffee maker and a small refrigerator was a nice touch. Beautiful lounge area on our floor with a big screen tv, couches, a coffee maker available for all guests was great in the morning when I needed a coffee! Check out was at 12, it was also effortless. The staff couldn't have been nicer! We will definitely stay at the Jewel again next time we visit Manhattan.

Please don't change a thing! Our stay was excellent.

The location is pretty unbeatable. I got to take my son and meet old friends steps away at Rockefeller Center, Radio City, Bryant Park, 5th Ave, Lego etc etc. Also a nod to the staff who were kind and helpful. Eating at restaurants in Manhattan is hard with a hyper 5 yr old so many times id come back to the hotel right before dinner and get delivery. Someone would always run it up to our room immediately. The rooms are clean and for the most part feel on the newish/modern side.

I was on the 15th floor which does not have a direct elevator and that was a slight inconvenience especially when the 2nd elevator going from the 14th to the 15th was out of service. But luckily I was helped with my suitcase.
