We stayed in NYC because my granddaughters wanted to see "Wicked" on Broadway. The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs.

The cost of the hotel was triple the normal rate because it was Memorial Day Weekend and Fleet Week. I had reserved a "skyline" room, for which I paid a premium. I had guaranteed check in for after 7pm. When we arrived at 7:30 pm, all skyline rooms had been given away, despite our reservation. The discount offered was not commensurate with the room change.

Perfectly located and within walking distance of the subways if you want to get out of midtown to explore. You also get $35/night spend on food or drinks.

If you are booking a room with a queen bed and have two adults, just don’t. Their queen bed is a double at best. I’m 5’1 and my feet touch the edge when laying down. Also, the thermostat did not work and we even asked them to fix it and it did not get fixed - stayed at a very toasty 76 degrees and every time you flushed the toilet the water splashed up at you.

Rooms were v clean & comfortable. Location is excellent.

The ‘Urban tax’ of $30 per day plus $450 per room they put on a ‘hold’ - none of which I was informed of until we checked in & wanted our card! The $35 ‘credit’ given for each day to use on food / drink within the hotel…..we hardly used it because we wanted to try different restaurants etc in NYC & there is no actual restaurant in the hotel. No coffee / tea facilities in the rooms so you have to go down stairs & pay for drinks in the morning - using the ‘credit’. We appear to have been charged for more things since we got back - none of which we were informed of….especially since we were in ‘credit’!

Location is great. The grab n go food in lobby was excellent and convenient - good value too. We upgraded to skyline view and it was well worth it.

The $55 charge for 'early' check in was really a surprise and I think excessive. Especially as a Hilton Honors guest. I had called and asked about early check in and nobody mentioned the charge until after we stood in line at the desk to check in at 11:30 AM.

The location of this hotel is really a great point. Close to Central Park, close to Times Square and the main attractions at 5th Av. It is walking distance to Central Station. So, it is really a fantastic location.

The hotel is really big. It is always super busy. But everything works just fine. That's what you can expect from a big hotel like this one. So, it is not a problem when you know what to expect.

Great location near major sites like Fifth Ave, Central Park, Rockefeller, and Bryant Park. Spacious room for 3 that could accommodate us and our luggages. Did not try the food but we had a few drinks at the lounge and coffee at the deli.

Cleanliness could be improved. Pillow on the couch was evidently old and unwashed as one side was dark and the other was lighter. I also found a clothes tag on the floor and toothpaste stains in the bathroom upon our arrival. One towel had dark spots on it. Other areas were clean but this made me think how thorough they were in cleaning the rooms. For the price, they could also have provided a kettle with coffee/tea packets.

Lovely, clean, accessible hotel. I had a nice view. Staff are the greatest, especially cleaning ladies on the floor are wonderful! (Other than the chair in the room/see below,) the room is very clean & tidy. The bed is the most comfortable I've experienced in a hotel in recent history.

Upon arrival, the lounge chair in my room was filthy. I was told there was no replacement (in the whole hotel!?!) But the next day I returned to an apparently well-vacuumed chair that was tolerable. My on-going complaint is the lack of a coffee dispensing unit in the room. I can't remember the last time there wasn't a coffee facility in the room. AND the $4.50/cup coffee on the lobby level was awful coffee. Finally, further hooks or racks in the bathroom would have made the stay more comfortable with more than one person staying in the room.
