Location was beautiful, about 20min drive from town. The staff were very friendly and helpful, room was super clean, the pool is lovely. Great breakfast. The Indonesion food at the restaurant for lunch/dinner was amazing! Much better than the western style food.

- The biggest asset is the kindness of the staff, along with the quality of the internal services. - All members of the staff are reliable and efficient; reception is open 24h and you can also contact them on WhatsApp. - We were in honeymoon and we tried several "romantic activities" (ex. Candlelight dinner, floating breakfast, flowerbath...) and they were really good - Great restaurants, large variety of choice, ingredients are fresh, and every week there are cultural Balinese dinners (with traditional dances) and live acoustic music. - Breakfast is not buffet, you choose your plates in advance. - Spa services are amazing, we really recommend them (even if they are not largely promoted) - There are 5 shuttles/day that bring you to Ubud centre (it's free and the driver is excellent; maybe a few more shuttles would be useful) - The room was big and the bed really comfortable. The bathroom is really nice too.

- External services are not at the same level as internal services (ex. The mount batur trekking was organised by an agency. Even if the overall experience was nice, the activity was uncomfortable and the agency staff not pleasant) - The swimming pool is cold, because the water is not heated - The hotel is in a rice field, so be aware that there can be some animals (geckos, insects...) also in your room

The hotel is in a beautiful location right in the middle of rice paddy. It was very peaceful and there was a lot of privacy in the hotel. Maybe it gets a lot more busy outside of the rainy season. The room was spacious and the balcony was great. The pool was lovely and there were not really any people at the pool when we were staying there. The shuttle bus to the town was very good.

The gym has very basic equipment but the worst part was that it was way too hot in there and impossible to work out as the staff leave the AC off. The housekeeping staff were very loud during the housekeeping in the morning in the corridors, so it was quite disturbing. They had a trainee at the reception who did not speak any english which was surprising. They ask you to pay extra if you want to use jacuzzi in the spa which I never heard of. The breakfast was a la carte and could be improved as I found the bread and pastries were very basic.

The property was amazing and the staff were extremely patient, welcoming and professional. We came here for our honeymoon and reserved the Gumitir Villa which was amazing to say the least. We arrived late in the evening and the staff brought us fresh sandwiches around midnight to help with our hunger and jet lag while we were checking in. They also carried our luggage to our villa and were very nice and caring for our needs while we were there. The restaurants were delicious and very accommodating. The live music was very nice to wind down a long day of shopping while having dinner. The guitarist loved getting song requests from us. We loved how they have a complimentary shuttle that takes you from the resort to Ubud many times per day for us to go shopping and enjoy the local life. The massage spa was amazing and very professional. The moment you step in you feel like you are in a peaceful and tranquil area. I highly recommend the deep tissue to start and then go get a Balinese massage a few days later to help the body relax after traveling. My wife and I loved this resort and honestly don’t feel like looking for any others in the area for our return to Ubud. I highly recommend this resort for your next trip.

Absolutely nothing

A stunning hotel 20mins outside of Ubud. Perfect for couples and honeymooners. Staff were super friendly and the food was amazing.

The only downside was there wasn’t too much sun around the pool.

Enjoy Villa Melati. Very spacious and private. Staff were very welcoming and lovely. Breakfast is very good and well presented. Really enjoyed the variety. Pool snacks were great. Guests were good with pool service, very prompt in offering free lime water during breakfast and when at the pool. Nice touch.

Shuttle services are extremely limited. After 10 am next is at 2 pm... No lunch time shuttle to go to market. Gym doesn't open until 9:45 am. This is quite late, considering Yoga is at 7 am. Spa is good, however because there is no airconditioning, it can get very hot especially during massage. This means one cannot enjoy. Would have been good if hotel has special cocktail hours

It is secluded, a resort with quiet and tranquility. No screaming kids. Rooms are nice, pool views are great. Staff friendly and accommodating. Shuttles to Ubud are great and morning rice fields walk. Good value for money overall.

Gym and yoga has great views from up the top floor. Really amazing. Gym however could do with some new equipment. Rooms are beautifully integrated with a walk in shower and bathroom but you can feel that that side of the room area is very damped. I had to put the aircon on the dehumidifier setting to get rid of the dampness smell and it seemed it kind of worked.

This is one of the BEST hotels we have ever stayed at. It exceeded our expectations. The pool, garden and room was gorgeous. The staff were wonderful and friendly, particularly with our very active toddler. The food was excellent.

great room size - efficiently cleaned when at breakfast each morning! food great, wide choice and all very good - reasonably priced too. shuttle to town was good, drop point not ideal to walk back to so we ended up taking a cab back.

felt like rarely a quiet moment here. they had live music 3/5 nights which went on until 10pm and unavoidable, staff talking loudly in reception - maybe it was the room we were given? poolside bar plays bass heavy music all day, busy road with bikes and busses winding around the property. obnoxious air freshener pumped fake scent at the a/c every 20 mins which went straight over the bed. location isn’t ‘typical’ Ubud valley views but rice fields - not bad, but others are prettier. a/c packed up on last night which wasn’t followed up the next morning - we were checking out I guess but felt like a forgotten issue.

This place far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it. The staff was wonderful, they were pure love! I always appreciated that every time we returned from our explorations at the reception we were greeted “Welcome Home” and felt at home but in a "palace" version. :) If I ever return to Bali, I will stay again in this beautiful, peaceful, romantic corner of the earth in Bali.

This is silly, but I'm like a snake, I ENJOY eggs in all their versions at breakfast. Unfortunately, the scrambled eggs at the resort were not made exactly how I could enjoy them.
