Location is near the lively bar area near the water but it's quiet. Had no problem checking in and out. Room was big enough for two person two splay out our items - a lot of storage compartments to let you put your items. Amenities were clean and the the bed is very comfortable. Easy access to a lot of sites nearby.

Within the hotel, the soundproofing isnt great. You wont hear people talking but if someone slams the door hard enough you can feel it in your room.

Central location, everything is within walking distance. Clean room. I truly liked that there was no time-consuming check-in process, I just told my name and it was all.

High price level in comparison for what you get: absolutely no soundproofing, you are able to hear noise from the neighboring rooms and the area turns into a party district at weekend nights, which makes it impossible to have a restful, tight sleep at night. I have never been to such a 4 star hotel, where the bottom of the curtain doesn't fall to the floor, which means that light control doesn't work properly and after sunrise you'll wake up for the light if you're that type of person, who sensitive to it. Breakfast wasn't included in the price (I knew it, there was no surprise), but you can have it for additional costs. No mini bar in the room, which could have been practical, but it was not a huge deficiency.

The location is fantastic. Right in the heart of the old town area surrounded by restaurants and shops. Everything you'd expect in the hotel, clean facilities. Bed really comfy. The staff are really accommodating. We booked last minute since our flights and original destination changed and the reception staff were really helpful and kind, leaving water and peanuts in the room as a nice and welcoming gesture.

There wasn't much although the room is quite loud. With the bars surrounding the hotel "kick out time" can be exceptionally noisy and even a closed window doesn't seem to help. I would definitely recommend ear plugs.

The room was often too warm. The window is a bit small in size so could not cool off the room as much.Only applicable if you stay during very sunny days which is not as frequent.

The property is well-located in an older part of town surrounded by shops and restaurants and a short walk to most attractions and the bus / train hubs. My room was clean and comfortable.

When I arrived the lift was out of order, necessitating dragging my luggage up to the fourth floor. It was speedily fixed the next day. The biggest issue was the lack of temperature control. It was very hot at night and there is no air con. Reception lent me a fan which was sorely needed.

Right in the downtown, clean rooms, quiet place, easy check in.

Breakfast is served until 9:30 am and costs 165 NOK. When we came to the dining room (8:20 am) there wasn’t almost anything to eat. Just one slice of bread, two slices of cheese and a few eggs. We asked chatting waitresses in the kitchen to bring more food, what she did quite promptly. Maybe it was just random problem, but for us the breakfast wasn’t worth paying.

There was no one at the reception and someone got stranded because her phone was stolen and he didn’t remember her room number and password to the room. I tried helping her by calling the reception and no one answered neither did they call me back.

Things I liked about this stay: - Very friendly, helpful and easygoing staff - Breakfast was included - Convenient location for shopping in the colorful streets - Decent nearby dining options (but go earlier if you are not into the bar/nightclub scene) - Easy to get to many things including pick up for a hike, bus from the airport, and even a boat ride to the fjord

What I didn't realize upon booking is that this location is near an area that at night turns into several nightclubs. I was there for Friday and Saturday and could not leave my window open to sleep because it was so loud with people shouting drunkenly at all hours of the night, and even with the window closed it was sometimes a little noisy.

A hotel which surprises with the quality of the room and bed, as well as the very central location. We prolonged our stay at this hotel two times because the bed and the room were very comfortable. The room was spacious to an extent, clean, and featured a very comfortable arm chair. Even though the presentation of the hotel is a bit dated we found it very charming, reminiscent of the 80s. It is very surprising to get this good of a room for this good of a price in the center of Stavanger.

The location is great. Easy access and checkout. Just received code. So nice that we don't need keys or cards. Beds are comfy and we enjoyed our stay. Would stay here again.

The walls are thin. We could hear people talking with normal voice. Not recommend this with kids or babies.
