Great location, friendly, helpful staff, very clean, wonderful view of Grand Canal from room, fabulous croissants for breakfast. Decent size room with sofa, small table/chairs & bed, closet & bathroom. Good shower.
There are 42 steps from ground up to reception and 1st floor rooms. Whew! If the 1st floor rooms are all occupied, you really can hear the next door room when anything is said.

The hotel is perfectly located to walk around while still being in a quite enough area to sleep well. It was very easy to arrive from the train station via the vaporetto (stop is 5 min away, and only one small bridge to cross). We particularly enjoyed the ground floor suite we had booked - seeing the gondolas right outside our windows was quite unique! Staff was also very helpful with recommendations for diner and excursions. We would definitely stay there again.
If you are not on the ground floor there are a lot of stairs to climb with suitcases. Not an issue per se, but something to be aware of.

Great stuff, Great room Cleanliness and the best is Great View on Grand Canal. Hotel have direct access from Canal you can get from airport or train station with boat taxi straight to Hotel from Canal. You can book in Hotel Gondola Ride straight from Hotel with Glass of Prosecco. Definitely when we back to Venice we will back to this Hotel was a pleasure to stain in this Hotel
Only one think is you can hear peoples from other rooms and from reception desk, but this is very small minus on this what Hotel can offer to you.

The hotel is beautiful and our room was on the Grand Canal with a view of the Rialto Bridge. The rooms are in the Venetian decor with lofted ceilings. Feels like stepping back in time. The bathroom is beautiful and modern. The staff are all so warm and welcoming. We particularly loved Enriquo. He was really funny. The location is so perfect. Right in between all of the sites you want to see. Loved this property!
We didn’t have a problem with the massive stairs you have to trek up to the reception but some people might have a problem. It’s a good 1-1/2 stories up and the stairs have higher than usual risers so it’s a workout.

The location is fantastic. the views from the rooms facing the Grand Canal are exceptional. Staff extremely helpful with recommendations and bookings. We had 'Junior Suite with Grand Canal View'. Large room with very comfortable bed. Some reviewers have commented that some rooms are noisy, we found it very quiet. We visited mid February, so I guess the rooms are more expensive in peak season, but for where it is, we thought very good value. If you can stretch to a private water taxi the hotel has it's own little jetty - very cool way to arrive. There were 6 of us in our party so actually the private taxi not so expensive, since it's roughly same cost for 6/8 as 2.

Location is perfect ( it is at a corner. It takes a little effort to find it, sign is not very obvious). Room is nice and spacious. Room is nicely remodeled. Standard European 2 twin beds. Staff is very helpful and warm. Price is reasonable compared with surrounding hotels. Totally 6 apartments at the facility.
I really don't like the 44 stairs from ground to the room level without elevator. Front desk staff starts to work at 8:00am. When they are there, they help guests to carry the luggage up and down. We had to leave before 8 am, so we had to carry the luggage down ourselves.

I absolutely loved this place, and the staff made the experience even better. They were incredibly helpful with everything—from handling our luggage to planning our activities and offering great suggestions. The breakfast was also excellent!
There are two things I would have done differently, though neither was the fault of the establishment. First, I would have booked earlier to secure a canal view. By the time I reserved, they were unavailable, but it wasn't a big deal. Some even say it's better without a canal view since it can be noisier. Second, while I didn't opt for the daily breakfast because of the many nearby options, I wish I had tried their breakfast on the first day—it was absolutely delicious.

The location was fantastic. The hotel is situated down a quiet narrow pedestrian street with a small court at the entrance which is always a calm space. Then just outside the narrow street there is activity: gondola station, shops, restaurants, and a line of campos to explore. We found the hotel was very close to the major tourist sites: Rialto Bridge (we could see it from our balcony) and St. Marks Bascilica. We were also close to the Vaparetto stop Ca' D'Oro to use for traveling to further away places. The building also has access to a side canal of the grand canal which we used to have a water taxi take us to the airport for 150 euros, it was a huge help to have pick up right there because we brought too much luggage to juggle with a toddler. We absolutely loved the A/C in the old building to keep us comfortable, and we used the hotel room to cool off during the hottest part of the day. We really enjoyed our view of the Grand Canal each night. We spent the last part of each evening watching all the boats go by at night below from our window. It was an unexpected experience I would want again if I visit Venice again because the boat traffic is so unique and calm, from the open balcony windows it's distant enough that it's not intrusive.
The hotel room floors were creaky when you walked on them which was only an issue because we did not want to wake up our toddler during naps and at night. I had read beforehand that the steps from the entrance ground floor to the actual hotel were going to be an issue, but we were helped by front desk staff with all the heavy lifting!

Locanda Leon Bianco was completely amazing. From the beautiful entryway to the decor, the stonework, the staircase heading up to the lobby and check in, it was all incredible. But nothing prepared us for the beauty, comfort and sheer opulence of our room. We stayed in the Apartment and the view out our two windows to the Grand Canal was better than I could have hoped for. The fact that we had a private pier that we could sit on and catch a water taxi from was beyond what we could have hoped for. All in all we feel completely spoiled by our stay and deeply appreciate the hard work and love the owners and staff have obviously put into this beautiful building. We hope someday to be able to come back to Venice and stay here again.
I cannot think of anything I did not like about this property!

One of the most beautiful hotels we have avere been at. Everything was perfect, but the best part was without any doubt the warm welcoming. The staff is friendly and there was an attention to every detail during our stay. We enjoyed some fresh lemon water and chocolate at our arrival; our room was upgraded to the junior suit and it was comfortable, perfectly clean and with a Venetian touch. The position of the hotel is the best, you can reach every popular destination in 15 minutes by walking. Ok my next trip I would like to stay only here. Thank you for the amazing experience!
Nothing, everything was just perfect.
