We stayed in the apartment. It is an older apartment but is big & spacious & has everything you need. It is perfect for a family. The breakfast was great. Plenty of food & they cook your eggs to order. The staff were amazing. So friendly and welcoming. There wasn’t a request too big. The driver, Pardon, was the highlight for us. Awesome man! Only a 5min drive into town & only $5USD for a taxi. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. The wifi was great. Not slow at all

Nothing we didn’t like

The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and I slept well! Mike the waiter was excellent, as was the food. Lovely breakfast. Mr. Ndlovu on security was also helpful and friendly - organised a taxi for me etc.

My gripes would be that I couldn't get the internet to connect, and there was only cold water in the shower. Neither was particularly a problem as I was only there for a couple of nights, and so I didn't spend any time trying to get these problems fixed. Ah - and the security light outside the bedroom window was very bright, despite the drawn curtains, but again - I had a solution with my eyeshades!

Staff were very helpful to organise transportation and every tour we wanted to do. Room was cleaned immediately after we leave in the morning and our bed had nets for the mosquitos.

Food was good but we had to order early in the morning to eat at night and that was not ideal since we wouldn't know the exact time we got hungry. Also saw bugs and cockroaches in the room where breakfast is prepared - probably not the lodge's fault but the country is like that I guess and it's difficult to control nature. But it's something we noticed

The staff at Dzimbahwe were excellent. From the pick-up at the airport, to the reception, restaurant, cleaning and garden staff were all friendly and ready to assist with whatever I needed. The facilities were nice and clean with a beautiful garden and pool area. The restaurant served an excellent dinner every evening and often delivered dinner to my room if it was raining. Thank you to everyone at Dzimbahwe who treated me like a queen.

The location is not the best, and you will be required to take a taxi or shuttle to almost everywhere you have to go. I would have preferred a bigger variety of options for breakfast, but what was served was well-prepared.

Close enough to the Falls themselves via car. We just needed a room for the night so it served its purpose. Bottled water in the fridge is always appreciated, as was the breakfast included in the price.

Having never travelled to Zimbabwe before, we knew the facilities wouldn't be what we're normally accustomed to. It was fine, but know that some things are perhaps unexpected e.g. there was no hot water in the shower, only in the bathtub. Not a big deal as we were still able to wash etc. and we didn't bring it up with staff, because, again, not a big deal for us.

We arranged to be collected from the airport and the staff were quick to respond to emails and were there waiting for us when we arrived. The rooms were clean although smaller than they appeared in the photos. The air conditioning was effective. The restaurant served good food and the free breakfast were a bonus.

We didn't use the pool as the water was too cold. It did look like it was due for a bit of maintenance. It was a little further from the town centre than we realised but taxis were easy to organise.

The staff was great as other reviews stated. I appreciated the great communication as they were quick to respond via the Booking app. The beds were great and everything was very clean. It's about a 30min walk to the Falls from here.

The taxi/shuttle to and from the airport was a bit pricey as a single person as it was $30 one way, $12/person when sharing with 3 people. The wifi was a bit up and down as sometimes you'd have to reenter the password after it dropped.

We had an amazing stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. If we needed anything they delivered ASAP. The food was absolutely delicious not to mention plated well. Our waitress Thembi was great she made our dinning experience wonderful for all our meals due to her pleasant personality. The shuttle driver Pardon helped us see all the attractions, as well as told us the area history.

I particularly liked the room, the facilities and amenities. The room was spacious and met the description as per the internet. The facilities and amenities on the property were fully functional (the pool, the aircon, and the breakfast). The star of the show was Pardon - our driver. He is an absolute sweetheart who truly made our stay pleasant and more than we could have imagined.

The hospitality of Grace, Thembi and the driver Pardon was outstanding. The rooms were spacious and clean. Grace at the reception did an amazing job booking activities for us. The driver Pardon was committed to driving us around cheerfully. We felt very safe during our stay.

Entering the password every time to log on to WIFI was a bit frustrating.
