Located in New York's Upper East Side, voco The Franklin New York, an IHG Hotel, is a great find for city explorers. It's near a bus stop and subway, making travel easy. The area is quiet, with plenty of good places to eat and a cinema nearby. Though the rooms are small, they are well-designed, comfortable, and include windows. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, and there's affordable laundry service available. It's also a short walk from Central Park. For its location and cost, this hotel is a smart choice for travelers.

The best thing about this hotel was the staff, they were accommodating, welcoming and nothing was a problem. The hotel itself is located in a lovely neighborhood walking distance to Central Park and the Museum Mile. There were lots of really good coffee shops and restaurants in the area and the Subway was just around the corner so very easy to access uptown New York.

The room and ensuite were very small, but very functional for a short stay. The room had a desk and a stool but not one that you could work at for long periods of time. There was a very nice communal area which was suitable if you need to work on laptop for a period of time.

The location is good and apparently safe, because we wanted to be on the Upper East Side. It is close to many places of interest, but also far from many others. The good thing is that the underground is very close, with two lines that take you to the main tourist sites. There are also many restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel has an area to make coffee and tea and sit for a while which is very nice.

Some rooms were very very small. The entrance has a staircase with several narrow steps, difficult to access with large suitcases. One night when we were in Washington, we left a large suitcase in the hotel and when we returned the next day, the man at the front desk couldn't find it. The next day it was retrieved without any problems (we never doubted it), but it seems strange that the receptionist doesn't know where the suitcases are kept.

Location, proximity to subway. Very cosy hotel. Very clean rooms and confortável beds. Staff is amazing! We booked a room with city view but at arrival we were looking at a wall. Wrong information from booking.com. Fortunately the hotel gave us upgrade to room with view.

700€ per night for a still too small room ( even after upgrade) no breakfast included, even not available, is far too expensive even in Manhattan

The staff was wonderfully helpful. The room was small but extremely clean, comfortable beds and nicely appointed bathroom. There was a problem with the climate control for our room and a few others but the staff really stepped up. Our room was comped for the 2 nights without heat proactively by the manager. My BFF is on the UES and I stay with her often when I come down alone so I know that the hotel’s location is great for shopping, dining, museums and public transportation.

Another 6 inches between the bed and the closet? Absolutely not a deal breaker

I liked the location, on the Upper East Side. Not in the heart of Manhattan, but well served by public transport and within an hour's walk (a very pleasant walk through Central Park or along New York's main avenues) of Times Square.

Rooms a bit small and on some days a bit cold (we couldn't raise the temperature in any way). I left a suitcase in the luggage room for a few days and when I went to pick it up the person at reception that day could not find it, so I had to wait until the next day to get it back. It seemed strange to me.

Very quiet, slept very well (I’m a light sleeper and usually sleep poorly in hotels, even luxurious ). Window covering does not let cracks of light in in the morning, well designed! Room is small but lovely and cozy and nicely decorated (not generic). Location is great if you like museums and high end shopping. Firm, comfortable bed. Nice shower. Staff is super nice.

Closet space needs better hooks and to be adapted for dresses. An iron could be practical. A small fridge would be nice. AC/heater a bit slow/difficult to operate.

We loved the location as it’s an easy walk to Central Park, eateries, and the subway while being fairly quiet and safe. Our room was compact but clean and perfect for us. Big shout out to the staff here, especially Jasmine! So helpful, so friendly, and just all round excellent service - they also make good coffee! The lobby area is perfect for sitting in and having coffee, working remotely, and they have a good range of snacks.

All New York hotel rooms are small and this was no exception. The bathrooms are small but the room was clean and serviced every day. The location has good restaurants, coffee shops and bars all around so you don't have to go far for something to eat and drink. The neighbourhood is safe too. The staff at this hotel are excellent, really helpful.

There isn't a bar but the staff will get you coffee and there are plenty of snacks for sale in the seating area, To be honest you can always find fault but the staff made up for any shortfall in amenities.

Perfect location - you feel like you live on the Upper East Side and very comfy and fun

The blind in my room wouldn’t open and it wasn’t fixed in the four nights I stayed!
