I’ve just spent 3 days at the Pavillon Bastille and I LOVED it! From the moment we arrived at the entrance we know it was something special. Our twin room was impeccably clean, gorgeous comfortable beds and very peaceful at night. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

The room was maybe a little small, but in Paris, this is just reality rather than a criticism.

Excellent situation a few steps from Bastille metro. Extremely obliging and friendly staff. Good varied breakfast.

Most rooms look out onto a busy road but with the French windows closed the rooms are peaceful and actually we managed to sleep even with the window open because the fresh air was pleasant and we were so tired from walking.

Breakfast very good value included in price, good selection and food quality excellent.

It would have been good to have a small bar to go back to at night

The room was completely renovated, with a small, but well equipped bathroom. The hotel is small and in a certain way charming, with a small courtyard in the front. Location was excellent, right next to Bastille and the Seine. Breakfast was correct, even though there wasn't warm food (scrambled eggs and such). Courtesy pastry and water was offered at the reception. Staff kept the luggage for free after check-out.

The hotel is small, and so are the rooms. Probably what's missing the most in the room is a closet or space to put clothes (there's only a small space to hang clothes).

I had my single room upgraded to a double room free of charge, that's a warm welcoming! The little quaint hotel is about 100 mt from Place de la Bastille, only a short walk to my favourite Le Marais, Île Saint-Louis and Notre Dame Cathedral. The room and bathroom are very clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was good. A big THANK YOU to the manager Yann, who was very helpful, courteous and charming. On my last day I have some time to kill, he recommended me to go to Canal Saint-Martin. It was an interesting experience to see the historical waterway and the Parisian neighbourhood. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and hopefully will be back myself in the near future.

Considering the average level of French hotel breakfasts, the breakfast at this hotel was quite good. The croissants were delicious but the coffee could be better. The hotel staff were very helpful, we had a few problems with the towels here and it was resolved quickly. The location of the hotel is excellent, the metro station is very close, many nice restaurants in the surrounding area.

Since we visited Paris during the Olympic Games, the price was very expensive, but that always comes with such events.

The location was wonderful, Metro lines 1, 5 and 8 were right outside our door and they took us to 90% of the places we wanted to go around the city (we could change to go to the other 10% just fine). Staff were very friendly and helpful, spoke good English and were very kind about our bad French!! Wifi was functional the whole time (seemingly a rarity nowadays), bathroom was functional, hot water worked, plug sockets and lights all worked, and there was very easy-use air conditioning which we needed as every day was reaching 32 celsius! There are a couple of lovely bars down the street that do cheap cocktails, as well as a decently priced supermarket down the other end of the street that we could pick up a few groceries so we did not have to eat out all the time. There was a mini fridge and kettle in the hotel as well. We did not opt for the breakfast so I cannot refer to the quality of that.

Possibly my only complaint about the hotel would be the bed itself, it was fairly hard and I often have insomnia so my sleeping suffered a little bit because of it. However, it was definitely adequate for the price!

All the staff were great. Excellent, quiet location. Books, snacks, drinks, and coffee were available in the comfortable lobby. No problem leaving bags before or after check in/out. The refrigerator in the room was handy, plus there was a kettle for coffee or tea. Staff members went out of their way to give us information about renting a baby stroller. We enjoyed the outdoor seating area.

Small bathroom, but clean, well functioning and although small, there was still plenty of room for our kit bags and toiletries.

Nice little room. The location was excellent! It was always easy and quick to get to our destinations. It is very close to a metro. We also really appreciated the fridge and kettle with cups.

Temperature regulation in the room was a bit difficult, as we didn't have AC or a fan, and the only 'window' is a door facing the street. So we ended up being pretty hot in the bathroom or cold near the door-window. We prefer showers, but the bath-shower worked fine.

Great location, attractive small family size hotel, cleverly organised breakfast, drinking water in reception. Left luggage very convenient as we arrived early and went straight to Tour Eiffel. Room on the small size but everything worked and did not expect a large room for the money. Great value for money and could not ask for anything for more. Curiousity. Elevavator fine but we never found a stair case, was there an emergency exit or Fire Escape.

Hand rail on the external staircase, I am an elderly gentleman and steps without a rail are always a hazard.
