Excellent staff - Adam, the chef, was always on hand. His steam veg every morning for breakfast was delicious. Both managers and reception team were just all fabulous and welcoming and took time to say hello given. Get me coffee from the black sheep given I was there for 5 days. I even got an earlier check-in, which was unexpected. The team dealt with it so well. The room was so clean! Cleaning staff were so polite and tidy and friendly. Even the nighttime staff when I ordered a cheeky mc donalds were helpful and smiley at midnight lool. I really had the best time. I'll be back! Also, there are no carpets in the room, just good wipeable flooring, which, for me, was the reason AC secured my initial booking!

Nothing - exceeded my expectations.

We encountered an issue with the lifts on arrival, but the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, which was a great start to our day. Our room was spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed, though it would have been nice to have a few extra tea sachets and some biscuits provided as a thoughtful touch. We added breakfast to our stay on the day, and there was plenty to choose from. However, I felt the buffet could have been a bit hotter. The hotel itself was clean and tidy, with beautiful surroundings in a great location. I couldn’t fault the staff for their attentive care and attention to detail. We had a great nights sleep and it was a very quiet hotel.

Staff very friendly, lots of towels and amazing decorations on the bed thanks to cleaning staff,very clean, barman was amazing made my favourite cocktail and breakfast manager was very welcoming.

Hairdryer did not work,lighting was difficult to switch on as if had main light on the side lights didn't work,nice touch with the fridge but very noisy at night, view from room was a roof no ventilation only aircon,very noisy neighbours disturb sleep,tea and coffee facilities were next to the door and on a high shelf if you were a short person be difficult to reach.

The hotel was in a perfect location, we didn’t realise how close we were to everything and the vibes all around were fantastic. The room itself was very clean, spacious and comfy. As a coffee lover, I was happy to see that there was a coffee shop attached to the hotel.

My wife and I came for our 1 year anniversary (which we had also noted in our booking). When checking in, we were quite disappointed as Nisha (the lady checking us in) did not have a smile on her face nor did she give us a warm welcome. It felt as though she did not want to be there. When giving us our room key card, she told us it was floor 2 but did not tell us the room number nor was it written on the key card which we did not realise until we got up to floor 2. We gave her the benefit of the doubt as we all have bad days at work. However, her demeanour was the same throughout our stay and felt as though we had done something to offend her.

Location, high finish standard to everything. Great amenities. Very tentative staff also. Top marks to staff they are brilliant. Massive rooms beds are huge. Really impressed.

I had one big issue during my stay, you sent me an email to pre book parking with no attached link so I couldn’t pre book. I was flabbergasted at the price in the morning. £25 is ridiculous when you claim to have parking. It’s false advertising in my opinion. It’s a quarter of the price of the room again and left me with a sour taste in my mouth. So although I think the hotel is great. I wouldn’t stay again for that simple fact

Everything! The location was perfect, everything was very clean and comfortable. The room and bathroom were a very good size too. We paid extra in the morning for full breakfast too which was very good. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly, but I’d like to give a particular shoutout to Ian, who had been absolutely lovely and responsive to our questions before we arrived, and greeted us so warmly even when we checked in late at night due to train delays.

The hotel is in a perfect position for the city centre, restaurants and the Alexandra theatre. It was very clean and we wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again. Friendly staff and good check in experience.

Paid for breakfast and it was fair at best. Overpriced at £12 each especially as the melon and pineapple had seen better days. No beans and when requested it took so long for them to come out we'd eaten the rest of our breakfast. Not really many items to keep stocked up on so disappointed in that. Would use the small cafe next time. Chair in room 215 looking very well worn, the only downside in the room.

Great access to city centre, shops and restaurants

— Could do with a bit of (if not full) carpet in the rooms.. tiled flooring can be cold. Reception wanted to charge £5 for room slippers which should ideally come as standard or complimentary with the room. Similar to towels, bathrobes, etc. — No parking but understand it’s the city centre, however The Mailbox /Q-Park taking advantage of the situation to charge over 20quid for the night is ridiculous! AC Hotel could help subsidise to remove total cost burden on customers.

Lovely room, wooden floors, coffee maker, good shower. Excellent staff. Location great forchain bars and restaurants. A 5 min walk to Broad Street, New Street station and shopping. Walking down the canal in the evening felt completely safe too. Nice canal views from our room. Room very clean and maintained. Car park only a 2 min walk away in the Mailbox.

The bar below is a cricket bar, our room above it. There was lots of banging, shouting and braying coming from men on the bar's balcony. We had to keep the window shut which was frustrating. The hotel bed was not as comfy as a Prem Inn bed.

The location and proximity to parking, offices, and restaurants is excellent The room is very modern with high quality fixtures eg. great shower with high water pressure Bed was comfortable Complimentary still/sparkling water a nice touch Practical working space / suitcase rest / bench made the room functional and easy to use

The breakfast a la carte selection was uninspiring, however the buffet had good options The coffee could have been nicer, and I would always appreciate a barista made cup in the mornings
