Got upgraded to the honeymoon suite which was huge and the views were incredible. Location is great to walk into town. Hotel arranged taxis when required although a shuttle bus into town would be a good idea!

Breakfast was very poor with limited choices. This could definitely be improved.

The views are breathtaking from our villa. The views from the breakfast dining area are also so spectacular. The rooms and facilities are well taken care of and so clean. The staff is super friendly and so helpful from the security guard, to the receptionist, porters, kitchen staff, and cleaners. The icing on the cake was having the option to send the receptionist any questions or concerns on whatsapp, it was quick and efficient. I would 100% stay here again in the future.

This is not a huge deal but I felt that the bathroom needs more storage space for toiletries. we had no place to place our toiletry bags, and maybe consider having a shower caddy for shower gels and shampoo. Another suggestion is to have towels for the pool in the villa so we don't have to ask for them at the reception area. However they did assist as with the towels when we asked, thank you.

We were not happy with our first room which was not the lakeside accommodation we thought we had booked. The accommodation was 100% booked but Esme the receptionist was very helpful and we were transferred next morning to a lovely lakeside villa (31) in the older part with a beautiful setting looking across the lake to the mountains. Breakfast was good with a large selection to choose from and a choice of eating inside or outside by the lake. The villa was spotless and beds really comfortable. The staff were all lovely and any problems quickly sorted via WhatsApp with reception. The restaurant was only open for breakfast but it was only a 25 minute walk/5 minute car journey into the centre of town where there were plenty of restaurants and two excellent supermarkets for self catering. We had a full size fridge/freezer in the kitchen for storing any food etc. (and four dining areas in the villa). The bathrooms were lovely with so much storage in the dressing area. The decor may not have all been to our taste but we felt as if we were staying in a home rather than a hotel. We will definitely come back.

We did not like the first room we were shown to. The furnishings were more modern but there were several steps to negotiate although the bell boy carried our suitcases for us. The only way to see the lake was to lean over the balcony and it was also close to a modern pool which was very noisy. While we were staying there there was a large group who appeared to be on a cycling tour. I appreciate it is good income for the hotel but they were very loud and seemed to think it was their right to take over the outside dining area even asking other guests to move.

Beautiful place - the main building is lovely - breakfast by the lake is a real treat. We were in a self catering apartment which was very comfortable, lovely bed / bedding / towels etc. The gardens are pretty - the most amazing scented honeysuckle everywhere! Security at the entrance gate.

Our little terrace faced the back of the main building and the big extractor fan was honestly so noisy we couldn’t sit outside which was a shame. It’s not walkable into Franschhoek but you can use the local version of Uber (JJ) for about £5 each way.

room size was an absolute bonus - plenty of space for all. plenty of cupboard space water was wonderfully hot :) we were extremely comfortable in the unit. surprised with the few little comforts found in the kitchen and fridge (coffee/milk etc) All staff we came into contact with were incredibly helpful and friendly - went out their way to make sure we were looked after. Ideal location, lovely area and surrounds

art in the unit doesn't really gel - rather leave the walls blank a few areas where paint needs to be touched up on the walls (can see where there was damp problems before) a few mis matched items in the kitchen. for our stay no problem at all a few extra hangers would help.

Housekeeping, we left the villa at 9am for a meeting and returned at 1pm and the room was not cleaned up, they called me to ask if we need housekeeping at about 130pm and i said please come after 3 pm as we needed to get dressed and ready for a wedding, on our return it was not done properly, the did not replenish the toilet paper nor the coffee and supplies in the kitchen, nor did they sweep or mop the patio as the weather was windy and the terrace was a mess, in the morning i had to walk to reception to collect more toilet paper and coffee for the room as the whatsap number was not answered

We stayed in a two room villa, which was very well appointed. Each room had it's own en-suite, and there was a dining room, a lounge and an enclosed balcony with day bed. I was amazed at how much space we had. The room came with a fully stocked kitchen, including dishwasher as well as an LG washer-dryer. Views were exceptional.

They were a little stingy with the complimentary tea and coffee and milk - I recommend taking your own if you drink more than one cup a day. Parking spaces were very tight and cramped, and there was only one bay assigned to the villa, so our friends, who came in their own car, had to use the visitor's parking.

We stayed at the new extended side and the room was big and beautiful. The breakfast was delicious Very clean property in total, very close to the town and wine tasting places. Amazing staff

We noticed there is no ventilation in the room but the many windows, high ceilings and many windows make this almost unnoticeable. Limited parking as we can during the busy season Load shedding is also a problem here, a generator would go a long way but they do provide more than enough lights in the rooms. Honestly they really try but it was noticeable during breakfast that they are under staffed but they really, really try not to drop the ball. I loved my stay. I hope they can work on getting room service and dinner meals

The villa was spacious and well kitted out. The rooms were a decent size with lots of cupboard. Beds incredibly comfortable. Staff were extremely kind and welcoming.

Unfortunately the room was not ready and cleaners were in it when we walked in. Meant they didn't quite get to finish and do everything properly. Sadly the guests in the next door room played loud music all night and were banging on doors early morning. And our key unfortunately didn't lock the room but we never really left except for breakfast.

The apartment-style accommodation was lovely, with beautiful mountain views. The pool was a great bonus, and we really enjoyed it during our stay. Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout.

Upon check-in, our room wasn’t ready, and we had to wait around for about half an hour. There is no phone in the apartment to call the front desk, you need to call from your mobile which is not ideal.
