We loved the room and the overall hotel decor! Our bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was perfect, and the view was magical with the castle and water view. We also really enjoyed the onsite restaurants (especially for lunch/dinner)—especially the caramel cheesecake!

I would have loved some additional breakfast options for American-style breakfast, such as an omelet station or pancakes (the scrambled eggs were very runny). The other suggestion would be to add a small marketplace area at the hotel where you can quickly purchase snacks/drinks, this would have helped a lot.

Staff was exceptional. Very responsive throughout our stay. Vijay at reception was especially wonderful. We lost a cell phone on the train. Vijay was compassionate about our dilemma and relentless in making contact with Irish Rail (Dart) on a Sunday night. His efforts paid off, not only tracking down our lost phone but also negotiating its safe return to the hotel that night.

We chose not to dine at the hotel. We were unable to find restaurant menus through the in-room video and therefore could not easily determine if there was a continental breakfast option. We were offered breakfast with our room, but at the added cost of roughly $20/person, it was more than we needed.

I originally had a deluxe double for my room. I requested an extra bed for my daughter. The hotel "told" me they upgraded me to a family suite. We were very excited. When we got to our room, we were so disappointed. It looked like a room you would get at a Holiday Inn. It was very cramped. We saw one of the double room suites. It was exactly what the pictures looked like. We would have loved to stay in one of those rooms and an extra bed would have fit just fine. Instead what we got, for the price was very disappointing and made our stay there less than enjoyable.

Clontarf Hotel was just perfect! The Staff, the food, the room, the bar, Breakfast was just perfect. Felt at home the minute we checked in! Robert at the Desk checked us in and we decided to extend our stay two extra days for a total of three days!! Highly recommend this hotel! Free parking was a bonus and I always have the breakfast included!!!

We liked everything. There were 3 weddings, One on Thursday, one on Friday, and One on Saturday. The only one which was Friday was a bit of a high base music so If I were to say anything to the hotel I would monitor that cause we were going on a hike in houth the next morning and it did not end until 12:05.

Our stay was everything we hoped and so much more, but I can’t even begin to express what a wonderful hotel this is. This is a luxury hotel experience where their attentive care to guests happens at every step. Even after you leave. I left my wedding ring on the bathroom sink and only realized when I was at the airport. After a quick call and a 30 minute wait they called me back saying they could not find it. That is more any reasonable person could ask for, but when I landed, I received an email informing me that their staff found it. Turns out they checked twice (unprompted!) and found it on the second try. This hotel is the envy of anyone who we’ve shown it to - even before we left. I’ve been asked by several people where this is and how in the world we found it. The pictures online simply do not do it justice. It made our stay in Dublin unforgettable. Their breakfast buffet is delightful, and so much care and effort was put in the design of the hotel and the guest experience. From the adorable illustrations that honour the history of the castle, to comprehensive booklets, to a tour of their impressive art collection, to the design of the rooms. You will not regret staying here! If the location is a concern, we didn’t have a car, and found walking to nearby places and cabs downtown was perfect. We never waited more than 5 minutes for a cab. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. We definitely see ourselves coming back!

The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant was superb, we ate in Fahrenheit, worth its AA rating, and the Tudor Bar. This hotel is worth visiting just for the food! The staff were excellent and went out of their way for you.

The social areas were not really available for sitting with coffee and a quiet read. The information said that the indigo lounge had sofas and places to relax and yet it was set out like a bistro and not a sofa in sight! The reception was lovely but too busy with weddings and events to sit, more of a thoroughfare than anything. Our bedroom was in a poor location for us, everyone had to walk past our room and they did so, very loudly, in early morning hours. Request 4th floor if you want quiet.

It was so amazing the food to stay in a castle beautiful time for my 12th anniversity married the staff was so kind when I arrived the hotel had in my bedroom a bottle of champagne as it was my 12th year anniversary me and my husband had a great time recommend this or anyone for some quiet peace it was so lovely amazing the hotel staff couldn't do enough for us😍

There was nothing I did not like about this hotel .as it was so beautiful inside and outside.. as it was an old castle. and it was beautiful and amazing . me and my husband will be definitely going back to that Castle. as it was so amazing the staff was amazing the bed was so comfortable there was nothing nothing we could not ask for us I would like to thank all the staff as all the staff were could not do enough for us thanks so much as we will be back💯🤩

There were three functions going on at the hotel while we were there. I was booked in room 106 and the noise from underneath and from outside at 9:40 PM was off the charts. However, the staff moved me to the fourth floor and to a much nicer suite. When I asked at checkout they also took my breakfast room charge off the bill. So at the end of the day the made it right and I appreciated that.

Super nice hotel for sure but not sure if it was a good spend at $350 per night. Not as close to Dublin proper as I thought it was. Had to drive to find a restaurant. Could have walked the 20-25 minutes but it was raining.

The room was wonderfully appointed with nice beds. The room service was prompt and food was decent. The breakfast was well stocked and the staff were helpful.

The site if you are looking to be close to Dublin is not close at all. You have limited public transport options to get to the castle. I also thought the castle would have more grounds to walk and explore. The face of the castle is castle looking but the sides and back are modern with no garden/courtyard spaces. The cab is $25-30 euro one way to get from the airport to the castle.

They treated us pretty well specially being our honeymoon, we had a complimentary upgrade, courtesy wine and prosecco, lovely staff and the party downstairs didn't bother us at all, no noise could be heard in the bedroom.

My wife noticed some small dirtyness up in the chandeliers and maintenance was in order in some of the decorative features, nothing out of the ordinary but it could be better taken care off.
