The hotel was lovely! The staff was superb! The location suited our needs perfectly.

The only issue we had was the smoke detector went off around 3am and didn’t stop. The person who answered the phone at the front desk was new & had no idea what to do. My husband finally managed to get it to stop temporarily. We told them in the morning what happened and asked if they could change the battery while we were out. We got into bed that night and it started again! We had two staffers in our room on a chair, trying to change the battery. They were as nice as could be about the entire thing. It was just a shame that our 2 night stay in this beautiful hotel didn’t allow us a solid night’s sleep either night due to a malfunctioning smoke detector. They did end up comping us our parking fees to make up for it.

our room was excellent very spacious and comfortable. The level of cleaning and servicing of the room was excellent, We were provided with a turn down service where bottled water, replenishment of the coffee/teas and towels where necessary were replaced. The front of house staff both at reception desk, doormen, baggage etc were extremely friendly and welcoming and during the rain large umbrella's were supplied ot keep residents dry - fabulous. i will certainly return again

I can honestly say there was nothing about the hotel we didn't like. People may not like the fact that the lobby was quite small ( very small seating area) but i didn't feel this was necessary. There was excellent restroom and seating downstairs if you needed it.

Quiet and quaint. We were upgraded to a living room suite, which was a nice touch. The rooms were clean and decorated very well. Everyone was friendly and engaging. We even saw one of the doormen running to retrieve a valeted vehicle and he recognized us a one of the guests and said hello on his way. Great location for walking to Fenway.

The bathroom was the downfall, small and tight. I can imagine anyone over 6 ft tall would have major issues with the toilet position. I am 5 11 and it was a bit of a challenge to say the least. We had a couple of moolandings as well with the side wall after getting out of the shower.

We had a view of the Charles River, just three blocks away. We walked to watch the Fireworks, (beautiful). Downtown shopping & many eateries within walking distance. The room was cozy with upgraded amenities. Tv in both living room & Bedroom. Dual suitcase racks, as there is little room for drawer storage. If your neighbors are loud people you will hear them. The breakfast was good, but the same food every day.

Wifi was hit & miss. Most sites would load fairly quickly. Speed test over 300 mph. Some site for work purposes were long loading possible for filters in place. I just Used my personal hot vpn for most business anyway. Not much storage to put stuff away, we stayed 5 days.

Our suite was fantastic and just what we needed after flying in from Scotland. It had a great view and it was the ideal size. Two big beds in the bedroom and the fold down sofa bed was spot on. It's not cheap but I thought it was well worth the money. Just five minutes walk to the Prudential Center and just over ten to Fenway Park. The staff were brilliant, always keen to offer us tips and helped us out with parking when we collected our hire car. The communication afterwards was ideal - we left an item behind and had an email from the hotel within the hour, really fantastic.

There's not much not to like. The only issue was the a/c, which was pretty noisy when it kicked in and interrupted our sleep at times. We let the front desk know and they had someone look at it, which made a small improvement, but I wouldn't let this affect our rating, which is 10/10.

The Eliot is a beautiful building in a great location. The staff are just superb, attentive, friendly and professional. Our suite was spacious, comfortable and exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Boston. As the location allows easy access to all the places of interest. We used both walking and taxis as a way of getting around. If you are looking to stay in a hotel that is not part of a chain, then the Eliot is the place. It is individual, historic, calm and tranquil.

Nothing is surpassed our expectations

The Eliot is a terrific hotel with old school charm in a brilliant location and within walking distance of many attractions, bars and restaurants. The room was extremely clean, cosy and comfortable and was a delight to return to each day having been cleaned, replenished and even turned down in the evening. Nardine on reception was a joy to talk to and helped us out with recommendations and directions.

We appreciate we got a pretty good deal via Booking.com but without that it would have been very expensive to stay, but maybe that’s just Boston prices?

The property was exquisite, clean and beautiful. The hotel staff were exceptional and thoughtful, it was my son’s birthday and the staff prepared a not and gift for him. My allergies were acting up the morning of check out and when I asked to extend check out and hour they were able to accommodate and even had honey and tea brought to our room. I can’t say enough nice things about the people working here, we felt so welcome! We will definitely book a room here on our next trip to Boston.

Everything was absolutely wonderful!

Small intimate hotel in a fantastic location. A stones throw from Newbury Street and Fenway Park. Loved the suite we stayed in. Great to be able to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and watch TV on the sofa before bed. I booked this hotel at short notice after our original pick let us down, and I wasn't disappointed.I've stayed in several other hotels in Boston over the years, and this is without doubt the best. Would definitely return.

If I had to pick one thing. The view from the bedroom as it faced onto the back of the property, but then again, I was on holiday and wasn't going to spend time looking out the window.

We were welcomed the moment we pulled up outside the Eliot, the valet came out to us and unloaded our luggage and our car was taken from us for parking. After checking in, we were guided to our room and luggage arrived shortly after without any hitch. All the staff were amazing: helpful, respectful and polite at all times and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The hotel is in a superb location for seeing Boston, a moments walk from Newbury Street (if you haven't, you should) and a short walk from old town... probably had the best of all worlds, being not too noisy, great proximity to so much and vehicle access was excellent too. We will, given the chance, stay at the Eliot again, without hesitation. Thank you to everyone that made our few days so special.

I am not sure there is anything not to like...
