Sister Teresa was so welcoming and hosted us really really well. The rooms were very clean and homely and it was a really pleasant place to stay in! :) Sister Teresa made breakfast for us every morning and they were so good and delicious.The sunset views in the evening were also really pretty!! I really loved the fact that she takes so much care of not only us but also all the animals around! it was really lovely interacting with the different animals and learning that they were all abandoned but in good hands now with Sister Teresa! Stella, Mocha, Centrum, Sunset and Sunrise were all adorable! Hope Sister Teresa will be able to keep Mocha with her🤎. If I ever come back to Moalboal, I will definitely come back here to stay again and hopefully see Mocha grow up into a healthy and lovely dog :) Thank you Sister Teresa!

We were delighted with our stay here. The villas have their own beach with access to a splendid reef with all sorts of sea life to see, including turtles. A great spot for snorkelling. The accommodation was comfortable. Breakfast was very good, with a different offer every day. Our hostess was Sister Teresa. She was outstanding, and helped arrange transfers from the airport and to our next stay, trips out to see waterfalls and beaches, and even an onsite massage. She is a real asset to the place. We were also lucky in that a new restaurant called Blue Trinity, which was only a five minute walk away, had recently opened with a variety of excellent dishes to sample.

Such a find. An oasis of calm within 10 mins walk of the Pagansama tourist centre of Moalboal Only 4 suites, all really spacious and well appointed... one of them is the house of the previous owners (Lorenzo) and has 3 double bedrooms and a massive kitchen/Living room: if you are 3 couples or a family, you will not find better anywhere. The property has it's own small beach which you can snorkel from. Sister Theresa and the other sisters will take such good care of you: they are delightful and attentive hosts. The story of Ancelle Cristo di Re is an amazing one. Lorenzo left his home to the nuns who run an orphanage in Cebu City and all proceeds go to that orphanage. So your stay helps a good cause too. NB it's not a party place. They lock the gates for security at 11pm. Like I said, it's an oasis of calm.

Everything. The sisters were so friendly and supportive. They helped us arrange an airport transfer as our flight landed really early. They helped us with bike hire, followed by sim card for getting out onto the road ☺️ Breakfast was delicious and the room way exceeded what we expected. Sardine run is super easy to see and turtles too! Town is a literal (I timed it) 10 minute pleasant walk. :) Really enjoyed hearing how they help the local cats who are regularly abandoned and seeing little Mimi they treated for a foot injury. <3

The hospitality of the sisters were awesome. They totally made us feel at home and at ease. The breakfast was different daily and was tastefully prepared. Even when we need to wake up super early for our day tour, they took the effort to pack our breakfast early in the morning! Sister Theresa went great length to help us coordinate our transport and day tour. My kids love the villa so much and already wanted to go back for holiday next year. The villa might not have the most fanciful facilities, but the clean and spectacular beach which is just a stone throw away, the tranquility of the place and the warmth of the sisters had made our stay unforgettable.

When you come to this place, don't expect great luxury or glitter. Ancelle Christo Re has something more. A wonderful aura created by Sister Teresa and the other sisters. We felt at home throughout our stay: a hearty and freshly prepared breakfast at your room door, a small cozy beach (don't forget your swimming shoes and beware of sea urchins) and Sister Teresa's sincere help in every case we needed it - renting scooters, organizing transfers, ordering massage services to the hotel, etc. The principle of operation of this accommodation is also fascinating - all funds are allocated to the maintenance of a home for homeless children in Cebu. The ideal location - if you want hustle and bustle - you can find them 10 minutes away in Moalboal, and Ancelle Christo Re is an oasis for a quiet rest without hustle and bustle.

Stop looking for other hotels in Moalboal and stay here!!!!! Our stay here was absolutely amazing!! We booked the biggest house for 6 people and it was perfect. Sister Teresa was the best at helping us book transfers to and from Cebu Airport, as well as other tours in Moalboal such as scuba diving and Cayoneering. Everyone was on time for everything and the service at Ancelle Cristo Re was unbeatable! The snorkeling at their beach was one of the best I have seen and they also have all the gear if you need it. The walk to moalboal is short about 10 minutes, but if the tide is low, you can walk along the beach and it's even shorter. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend 100% anyone visiting this wonderful island to stay here. It is clean, quiet, peaceful and the sunsets are incredible.

I loved everything about my stay and am so glad I found Ancelle! It’s so peaceful and serene. There is amazing snorkeling just outside your door with a huge coral wall and lots of turtles. You get your own little slice of private beach. Breakfast was provided daily and brought to your villa at whatever time you want. Sister Theresa is amazing and so incredibly kind and helpful. She arranged all my transfers and day tours and hunts for the best prices. All the proceeds go to the orphanage and on top of that she also rescues animals as well. I’m so grateful to the sisters for all they do. The villa is quiet, clean and a convenient 10 min walk to town. There is also snorkel gear to borrow if needed for free. Thank you for an amazing stay!

From the moment we arrived, we felt the warmth and kindness of Sister Teresa’s welcome, after our long drive from Cebu. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and settled in. Our bungalow was spacious and contained everything we needed for our stay-coffee, fresh water, even a first aid kit- and the bed was extremely comfortable. Each morning we looked forward to a wholesome and delicious breakfast served on our front porch, as well as our morning chats with Sister Theresa. The guesthouse is just a short 15-minute walk to town, and there just a few short meters away from shore you can swim to the sardine run. Sister Teresa even gave us snorkel gear, water socks (definitely needed due to the sharp coral entry into the water) and fins to bring with us, our use to swim with the turtles right in front of the guest house. In our case we hired a guide at the sardine run to help us take video footage . But what truly touched us was the reason for the guesthouse —all the profits go towards running an orphanage. Staying here felt like we were part of something bigger, a place where kindness and care are at the heart of everything. We can’t recommend this place enough.

Sis Teresa was welcoming and make suggestions on things to do. Great breakfast! Her staff was also exceptional. Sis Teresa made you feel at home. Easy 10 minute walk to small town where their are tons of restaurants. Love the 2 dogs on premise - very well behaved. It is really calming to view the ocean. Don’t forget water shoes which is essential in walking on the private beach . Definitely recommend this place. Loved all the proceeds goes to assisting orphans in Cebu City. Distance to Cebu airport takes about 3 hours and it can be longer since their Ron highways. Sis Teresa will make arrangements for you at a decent price.
