From the greeting at reception to the cheerio at departure, everything was what you would like when staying in a hotel. I took the Seaview option (which if I booked again I would check the weather forecast) the room was nice and spacious, bathroom suitably appointed. Bar and restaurant fitted the bill well, with a varied menu to suit, staff in there were all excellent. Breakfast was also most pleasant with great views out over the Bristol Channel. If I was having to stay in this area with work again, I would definitely put this on the top of the list to stay again - even with a deviation.
I was in 208 which with the stiff westerly blowing, I had a faintly whistling window frame (which was a surprise for double glazing - but its an old building) easily supressed with a folded length of loo paper, nothing to get in a cramp about as it was the waves on the high tide that woke me not the wind.

The location was brilliant, the staff were friendly. Clevedon is such a great stay and a great little find.
The hotel is very dated, the room was basic and no air con(it was 20degrees plus outside,no air) On the first night their was a loud noise coming from the hallway obviously it was a one off but kept me awake. Bath felt like it was going to fall through then I got in very old fitting. The bed and pillows were so uncomfortable. Wouldn't be my first choice to stay again but I would do. Has to pay 40 pound extra for my dog when I had already paid £487 for 4 nights without breakfast. Very basic.

The look of the building - looks impressive from outside. The dining room was lovely - high ceilings, large windows. The lady on reception was welcoming and she upgraded us to a room with a sea view. The views of The Severn River right outside, down below. Breakfast was plentiful. The pastries were warm and soft! Full English was good.
The sloping floor in the bedroom - it, and the bathroom floor creaked excessively! There was a dead bug in the sink and a dirty mark on the kettle spout, when we first arrived! The bed had two mattresses pushed together, which were lumpy and you could feel the edges of the mattresses down the middle of the bed!

Everthing was as expected HOWEVER the room we had overlooked the sea The WIND (not your fault we know as at the time it was horrendous all over the south country ) BUT WHAT WAS THE HOTEL FAULT IS THAT -- Pleas see below
Even before we even opened the door THERE WAS AN HORRENDOUS SCHREECHING SOUND, so we were a little nervous of even opening it. It turned out the window was DEFINITELY NOT KEEPING THE DREADFUL SOUND OF THE WIND OUT or even softening it down at all. We went down for dinner and then retired early as on our way to Taunton for Christmas with our Family, at that point the sound wasn't quite so noisy. BUT at approx 4 a.m. the dreadful noise of the wind returned and we couldn't sleep just on and off really. However we told the manager it needs Triple or stronger glazing on that window definitely. He was extremely helpful and pleasant deducted approx 17% from our bill . You have a lovely Hotel & STaff there you just need to soundproof the Lovely rooms that overlook the Sea.

The staff are friendly and excellently professional. We had the warmest welcome from Brigette and Dawn and that feeling carried on throughout the weekend. The breakfast is very good value … there is a lot of choice and it is well cooked and plentiful. We particularly liked the combination of table service (real coffee and a tea pot) and buffet style. Dinner on the first night was very good and the view of the sunset is second to none.
The outside space is not near the bar and so that’s not an easy move from one space to the other. But it can’t be helped because of the location.

Loved the location and the room, and the room was extremely comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent, and staff service was first-rate. I came to see the Clevdon Pier so was not disappointed with the views and location at all.
There was nothing I didn't like, just some information that would have been useful. Having no refrigeration in the room would have been nice to know in advance as this was my first hotel stay in the UK. I now know that no refrigeration in rooms is standard in the UK. Also transport to the hotel would have been good to know. As I didn't have a car, I caught the train to Bristol and the bus to Clevdon. My maps told me to get off at the triangle, so I had a very long walk with my luggage to the hotel. I later found out that the bus from Brisol actually carries on to Robin Lane near the hotel. That would have been great information to know as I was not able to get an Uber or taxi. I did get the bus from Robin Lane to Bristol on my return journey.

Beautifully located on a clifftop, overlooking the Severn Estuary and with Welsh Coast opposite. The food was excellent and the staff were really kind and helpful. We extended our stay because we were enjoying ourselves so much.
The chairs in our bedroom felt a bit hard after a while but this was probably because we sat in them a lot because of the view was so good and because of our disabilities. An excess of cushions on the bed did not fit the chairs and became problematic when we had to move them.

Every one on the staff was helpful and professional and welcoming. Everything we asked for happened in good time and nothing was too much trouble.
Food could have been a little more varied, although everything was beautifully presented. Breakfast was the best meal. I don't have a cooked breakfast very often but my husband does, given the chance! He particularly liked the sausages. The toasted actually did that - toasted and I didn't have to send the bread around twice! One grumble - no marmite! But gain, staff very helpful.

View, good bed, enjoyed breakfast with a view. Comfortable room with chairs and table and sea view. Central location with free parking. Staff friendly and helpful.
Shower kept going from cold to hot water constantly. I did report this on the way out. Bath very hard to stand under shower easily as bath is very narrow and curved sides. I found the bath very slippy too needs an optional bath mat. I couldn't relax in the shower because I was worried I was going to slip. Only one pillow each should be two each

Great sea view, bed situated to make most of this. Lovely huge comfortable bed. Bath as well as a shower, water temperature not limited for bath. Plenty of storage for clothes. Very quiet room. Spacious breakfast room, well set out, hot food and plenty of choice. Staff were helpful. Hubby was doing the Park Run on the Saturday and they allowed me to make his breakfast to go, as he would have missed it.
Lighting in bedroom quite dim. Bottom drawer in chest of drawers was cracked. Hair dryer nozzle didn’t fit. No magnifying mirror. Room was a little cool, but we prefer that for sleeping. Literally only minor issues.
