The room was large, very clean, and well appointed. The kitchen was properly stocked with plates, cutlery, glasses, and cookware, with a full size oven, microwave, cooktop and sink and plenty of benchtop. It would easily provide for a family looking to self-cater their stay. There is also a Built-in laundry with both washer and dryer, so perfect for longer stays too. We had a third floor apartment, with a large outside deck that could easily seat 4, and the high altitude views over the water was fantastic. Parking is provided undercover below the apartment block, with lift service to your floor. Club Wyndham also provide a bus service six times a day to the local town - absolutely necessary if you don't like climbing, - whilst the apartments are only 500m from the town centre, they feel like they are about 500m higher too! Tides restaurant is on site and the food is excellent - both breakfast, and evening meal, and they also have room service if you prefer. The staff also are very welcoming and accommodating, and quite happy to go above the norm to ensure satisfaction. All in all, I would highly recommend Club Wyndham to anyone as a full service hotel, with occasional, or even full time self catering options.

The room we stayed in (631) was showing signs of its age - the shower turned itself off whilst you were using it, the toilet roll holder was a bit loose, ad there were minor damages and wear and tear marks. This did not in any way detract from the holiday. The complex was undertaking renovation work at the time of our stay, and having had similar experiences previously, I was initially worried that it would negatively impact our stay, but it did not. Contractors were present, and working, but they made very little noise, and caused almost no disturbance (The worst was having a machine delivered, which blocked the main access for less than 5 minutes. Seriously, do not be worried about the ongoing renovation works.

We loved the location of hotel. We walked from the ferry to hotel. It was just a few minutes up the hill. Also the apartment was decorated in a blue sea style which was restful and matching well with the backdrop of the water view… The beds were comfy and both bedrooms had their own ensuite. The spa bath in ensuite was amazing. These apartments had all the comfort necessary with washing machine, dryer for Sandy towels (beach towels inside wardrobes), dishwasher and all cooking appliances necessary. On the first night, we had free drinks with our mains at the restaurant. Restaurant had a beautiful view and our meals tasted good. The free breakfast was amazing with the choice between great breakfast dishes a la carte… only barista coffees and extra drinks had to be paid extra… normal coffees/ teas and juices were already included. We had a delightful stay. We also loved the white cockatoos flying around and sometimes landing on balconies… they were so beautiful. Hotel offers shuttles to Airlie town center a few times a day for convenience but it is also a nice short walk in case you miss it? Our stay was a dream!

Amazing resort. Staff are fab, and very accomodating. The room is massive, large balcony and TV in the bedroom and also in the lounge. (1 bed apartment) Massive spa and 2 seperate basins which was awesome! Happy hour daily. Great cocktails Beautiful walk down to Airlie centre. POD coffee machine and milk frother was such a bonus! Comfy couch.freezing aircon x 2. Great options at restaurant and a seperate room service menu too.

The hills! Golly gosh! Make sure your car has a bit of power to get up the very steep driveway! Checking in was confusing. Wasn’t sure where to park to check in and no signage’s expect for ‘no parking’ (I parked in the first underground parking and walked up to reception (on level 3) Not much signage around the stairs to point you in correct directions. To get to the apartments you had to walk up stairs, no lifts. although it was only 1 flight, if you have a few bags this will be a hassle.

Great location, nice and close to town and straight up the hill from the Port of Airlie. Room contains everything you need. Such great value, was shocked it was so cheap. Staff were extremely friendly and generous, especially Will who kindly dropped us to the Port to meet our Reef Adventure tour prior to the usual shuttles in the AM. The hills are sooooo steep but there are good shortcuts between buildings to avoid them when going to the pool/restaurant/reception. Staff were also happy to drop you to the bottom of the hill and more importantly, pick you up from there at any stage if you called them. The restaurant was beautiful and the pool/spa area was great too! Would definitely return!

One day there was a large group of non-residents (with a couple residents) who were drunk, loud, obnoxious and took over the entire spa area and majority of the sunbeds which made it quite ordinary for several hotel guests who wanted to use the area but clearly felt unwelcome. Advised the staff of this but nothing was done and alcohol continued to be served. Aside from that occasion, cant fault our stay at all, it was great. Only other suggestion would be, given the Reef Adventure tour from POA is so popular and has a 7.30 kickoff and breakfast only starts at 7, potentially have a special 7.30am shuttle to the POA so guests dont miss out on included breakfast.

The rooms were better than expected, as they were newly renovated and much better than the advertised photos. Booking for included breakfast each morning was great and would recommend to do so, as it makes things easier and the breakfast staff made it so enjoyable and comfortable each morning. :)

The steep hill would be the only slight negative characteristic of the accommodation. It is manageable for those who are relatively fit, however could imagine it to be difficult for those who feel less confident. Would suggest maybe more regular shuttles or golf buggy trips down the hill for guests! :)

Beds were great and provided a perfect sleep every night. Breakfasts were good and good options on the menu. Thanks to both Helen and Barbara {hope the spelling is correct) who were excellent with their customer service. Beautiful views from the unit deck of the apartment. Spa bath was the best I have experienced, and the biggest too, as both my wife and I could stretch out in it and I am over 6 feet tall! Wonderful stay in paradise, and I reside in Cairns and was one of the best stays anywhere I have experienced in my life, and I travelled the equivalent of 5.2 times around the world in the past 12 months. Lovely arrival (check in) and farewell comments from the beautiful Nikol on the front desk. What a lovely person who both started and completed a wonderful and memorable stay,

Beautiful spacious apartments with nice views and well serviced with kitchenette, washer and dryer. Breakfast was super each morning and we found the staff very friendly and helpful. Gorgeous location, but on a steep hill. It's less than 20 min walk into the centre which was great for us and we could manage the hill so it was fine. Shuttles could run more often and later into the evening - the last one is 6.30pm! The pool is small and was packed with really noisy kids while we stayed so not much relaxation (not much the hotel can do about that!). When they did clear off we had a nice time as it has a gorgeous view and comfy sun beds! Overall we had a great stay!

The apartment was big and spacious. Amazing view. Breakfast was fantastic.

The only thing we did not like about our stay was that there was another person staying in a room just below and to the left of our apartment who smoked from 6:30am in the morning until late in the evening. I didn't realise that smoking was allowed so close to other rooms. When he was smoking we were unable to be out on the balcony or have the glass doors open due to the smell of cigarettes which was disappointing as we did not use the balcony as much as we would have. It also made it difficult to dry clothes and towels on the balcony as well due to the amount of cigarette smoke.

Really great value for money - had a very resort feel for a very reasonable price. The restaurant is alfresco style with a beautiful view. The included breakfast was a full meal made to order from the menu so you don’t get bored of the same meal each day. Portions were very generous so we were able to make the most of it. There was a free yoga session on Saturday morning which we loved. Has a little gym & nice pool. You can order poolside drinks & snacks. Staff were all very helpful & can arrange lifts in the buggy if you need help to get down the hill with bags. The location was fantastic for the marina where all our tours left from & it was an easy walk into town other than the hill! We loved our stay here - would highly recommend.

It’s worth knowing that the driveway & a lot of the property is incredibly steep. Could be a real problem for anyone with mobility issues or injuries. They offer a free shuttle into town at set times of the day which was very popular, & you can give reception a call & ask for a buggy to meet you at the bottom of the hill or help you get up to your room. Walking it was our exercise for the week! Our bathroom had an amazing huge spa bath but the shower had no door & water went everywhere every time we used it, so that was a bit frustrating, especially with no servicing of the rooms. Feel like they should install a sliding door or something & then that problem would be totally fixed.

The hotel was very nice and the location up the hill provided a spectacular view over the bay. Driving up there was quite steep but manageable. The staff at the reception was really nice and friendly, also most of the staff in the restaurant was friendly. We only had breakfast at the restaurant which was good. The apartment had everything we needed and the kitchen was also fully equipped. We loved the balcony even tough the weather was not so nice during our stay. You need to walk a little to get to the town center but the location is still good for exploring.

Overall the apartment seemed clean but with a baby crawling around you easily see when it is not. Would be great if they clean the floor a bit better. Our baby had completely black feet and hands after just a few minutes.
