Location in the airport

We stayed here one night before our flight to Spain and one night after we arrived back to Germany and before a long drive. Marriot is the most obvious choice for us because it is situated just across the airport terminal and so easy and convenient to get to when you're catching a morning flight. The staff is very friendly and helpful all around, the rooms are always very clean and spacious (we always booked a King Bed with the Lounge access), the beds were comfortable and I love that they also had extra pillows. The hotel is easy to access from the train station and parking lot (which was amazing for us considering we also had a one year old with us and were carrying a lot of baggage). Overall we had a very pleasant stay and will choose Marriot again when we have to fly out via Frankfurt Airport!

The proximity to the airport, we just landed and walked to this property. Massive rooms and hallways. Lovely bathroom and really comfortable bed - it felt luxurious!

Lack of signage in the airport to find the property. We arrived at T1. Surely there could be a sign near baggage collection saying Airport Hotels this way. We went round in circles, up and down in lifts. There is a YouTube video showing where to find the airport hotels and the fact that this exists demonstrates there is an issue (we unfortunately found this after check in!).

The room was very well designed and furnished, and functioned well as both a work space and living area. Compliments to the designers: all details were very well considered, tasteful, and resulted in a pleasant and restful ambiance. It is also very easily accessible on foot by an enclosed bridge from Terminal 1.

The Marriott and Sheraton are physically connected, and share one breakfast room/restaurant, which is in the Sheraton “wing” of this complex. This results in the breakfast room being very busy, and it is set up with many tables for 8. Whether alone or with one or two others, I much prefer a quieter and less “busy” start to my day. The quality was very good, including an egg/omelet chef, but I found the seating situation so little to my personal taste that I opted to get in and out as quickly as possible. Had I realized that, I would instead have opted for the “Eatery” kiosk/bar on the Marriott side, or one of the many choices on the way to and in the Terminal.

Within the airport.

Once you hit the Master switch it turns off ALL the lights. Okay .. that’s acceptable BUT there must be a provision for a night light in the room and especially the bathroom. So at night you have turn on the Master Switch which turns on all the lights and kills the sleep. Also why have water bottles that need an old fashioned opener? We had to ask for one for the front desk since the coffee station in the room did not have one. Also the step into and out of the bathtub for a showers high and dangerous. Who are these people who design such rooms?

Very convenient for an early flight departure. Check in was quick and it was easy to get information. The room was nice and very quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was so easy to get to the terminal in the morning! The room had everything I needed, including a frig, free water, various amenities. The air conditioning worked well and the window opened. Overall great!

The only option to print the boarding pass was by downloading on the hotel computer. I didn't feel comfortable entering my log in information there. Only one of the three restaurants was open and the menu with a bit limited but it was okay.

Food was generally quite expensive , but there were options right outside the hotel. Very convenient

Variable service: The ladies at the reception were very helpful. The one gentleman, serving at the reception was very dismissive of my complaint : i had a business meeting and dialled room service(the blue button on the phone) for the operator to call me a taxi which was supposed to arrive in 10 mins at the back entrance. After waiting 20 mins, I went to the reception and asked the gentleman there to help me find the taxi. His reply was 'I did not call you a taxi. I can't help you'. After wandering around the reception looking for more help, another lady joined the reception and helped me call the service center to find the whereabouts of the taxi. That gentleman might be very good as a filing clerk but is very unsuitable working as at a service position

ideal location if transitting, no need for shuttles or S-Bahns. We arrived in FRA on a DB long distance train around 11pm after a 9hr journey and had a 9am check in for a long haul the next morning. We just wanted a comfy bed to get as much rest as possible which we did find at the Marriott. The rooms are totally sound proof, you can see the planes taking off right in front of your window but you don't hear a thing.

The breakfast could have been better! A huge breakfast area which is shared with the Sheraton but the actual selection was pretty sub par for 31 Euro per person. We used to get more variety in some 3* hotels. The staff could be a little more attentive too, offering a top up for tea or coffee. But it all does its job.

The location was perfect for us as we had a connecting flight (12 hours later) to the US. The walk from the terminal to our room worked out nicely. We opted not to have breakfast because of all the choices that were offered in the terminal and lounges. The only reason that I would not consider this hotel romantic is because of its location as I view it more for the travelers.

There was nothing to "not like" as EVERYTHING was great!

Excellent location within the airport and well-equipped with infrastructures and new buildings. The hotel staff is very educated and polite. Specially the receptionist Daiane - who spoke several languages with us

However it is a pity to complain but the restaurant/bar has really unpleasant staff, specially some of the waiters. So, next time we won’t stay in this hotel since there are several likewise the same around.
