Lovely comfy room (we received free upgrade to Privilege room with my Genius discount :-)), friendly staff and nice bar area in the Hotel where I was able to work the following day after checking out. The Hotel is in a perfect location for both the bus and train station.

There was some really strange piano music playing nearby late at night. Eventually I phoned reception and they thought it was coming from the co-prop next door...soon after that it stopped, so perhaps the Hotel staff intervened. In all fairness, it wasn't the Hotel's fault as it was clearly coming from the next door building, but it was preventing me from sleeping before it stopped.

Very comfortable hotel, very welcoming staff who helped me choose a nice room, the room was spacious with armchair and table, small bathroom but well equipped , varied breakfast with lots of homemade dishes , well situated opposite the station but quiet , not far from the town centre. We really enjoyed our stay and whenever i am in Chambery i always stay there. Never disappointed!

Clean, modern hotel rooms with carpet. Big, comfortable beds. The lift only works with the room keycard, so makes you feel safe. Just across the road from the train station, and not too far from the city centre. Awesome breakfast service until 11am during weekends. The cleaner knocked on our door to politely ask if we needed anything. Receptionists found an adaptor I had left behind in the room and kept it for me to pick up.

Occasionally a little noisy as cars dropping off people at the train station under our first floor window.

This is my 4th time staying at this hotel. I absolutely adore the privilege rooms, great value, spotlessly clean, good size, tea and coffee facilities, really comfortable with everything you need. The location of the hotel is perfect opposite chambery train station and the decor, cleanliness and comfort are excellent- I love mercure hotels for this consistency of excellence.

The front desk staff are not great. Whilst not outright rude, their customer service is slightly lacking compared with the fact that the rest of the hotel is pretty faultless. This is only a minor point. I don't let other people's attitudes affect my day too much.

The room and bed were very comfortable, warm, and quiet, literally opposite the train station. Breakfast was very good although they forgot my request for gluten free bread. Food quality was otherwise excellent. Although not relevant to the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised by the town, lovely old town with large Saturday market. Easy walking from hotel and train station, the hotel looked after our luggage after checkout, while we looked at the town.

The guarantee 'payment' is widely excessive at 50€ per person per night. Who is going to spend that amount of money daily during a stay in such a location? Never been asked to provide this kind of guarantee anywhere else.

Very convenient location at train station, staff were very friendly, and a nice reception area. Good for a short stay.

Room didn't feel recently renovated - all the common areas had a nice look/decor that was a lot different to the room. Could definitely do with a refresh as it felt very 'holiday-inn' / motel-esque, but the price was higher. TV chromecasting didn't work properly.

Centrally located in town where we could walk to bars and restaurants. Plenty of street parking around the corner.

Even using a sat nav we found it difficult to find the hotel given it was our first visit to Chambéry. The road directly outside the hotel main entrance seemed to be for buses and taxi’s only and it remains to be seen whether we get a ticket for straying into this area! We had already checked and knew the underground hotel car park was unworkable for our Landrover plus roof box. We were told the a staff member would help find parking, but actually on the day he was pretty useless. We found our own parking on a parallel street.

The room I had was a good size, warm and clean. The staff I met were friendly and helpful.

The location is good for the train station but not so good if you’re driving as it is in a restricted access zone. There is an underground car park with limited spaces available under the hotel with a 2.0m height restriction

Fantastic location, right in front of the train station and near plenty food options. The staff are helpful and friendly. The room is nice, cozy and spacious.

The window in my room did not have a blind. So there was no way to block the light.
