This is a very rural B&B at the end of a country lane, and has great views. The bedroom was on the top floor of this older very spacious property, and there were lots of stairs. The proprietors were very helpful in taking my luggage up to the room. The room was very spacious and good, with lovely views. It was a clean and very comfortable room. There is a lovely deep bathtub. Breakfast was very good, and you are asked what you might like, and if necessary the food is brought in for you. Timings for breakfast are very flexible, and made convenient for the guest. For evening meals, there are various pubs within a 10 minute drive, which served very satisfactory food. The only drawback being, that you could not enjoy much wine with your meal, as you need your car. There is free wi-fi provided, but mobile signals can be dodgy. I had an excellent stay overall, and would thoroughly recommend this B&B.

As I stayed three nights, and was in between moving properties, I would have found it helpful to have a desk height unit and chair for doing some necessary computer work, but the typical holiday maker would not find this necessary! The bathtub was good and deep, but there are no handles or grab handles to help you out! As an older guy, I would have found such handles useful and it would have made things safer. Occasionally the hot water runs out. As I visited in between seasons (mid-September), there were quite a few rather dopey flies, wasps and other insects around in the room, which were a bit of a nuisance.

The location was very quiet surrounded by beautiful countryside with stunning views from our bedroom. The bedroom was large and well equipped including a fridge and microwave. The large bed was comfortable. The extra touch of biscuits and fresh milk was appreciated. We really enjoyed the landing in front of our room with the huge clock, the antiques and the photo gallery down the staircase was very interesting. The bathroom was well equipped with lots of extra touches and the bath was very luxurious. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly and it was like home from home. The breakfast was excellent. We would definitely recommend to friends and family and would love to be able to visit in the future.

The host and hostess, David and Lizzie, were absolutely charming and couldn’t have done more to make our stay perfect. The view from our room was stunning and the decor of the whole house is fabulous, being fun and eclectic with incredible taste. The location is perfect for walks and peace and quiet but with many restaurants and pubs and historic houses to visit. Just perfect.

The Clock Tower is a FANTASTIC place to stay. We stayed the night before our wedding, and got ready there in the morning (with a 10 month old baby in tow!) Lizzie bent over backwards to help us, nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom is very large, perfect if you're travelling with children, and has a fridge + microwave too. The house itself is quirky and beautiful. Breakfast was insanely good, her eggs are something else. I only wish we could have stayed longer to explore the grounds - it's a beautiful part of the world.

Nothing.

Place was amazing. Wonderful location, although given there was no address provided other than the Clocktower we were a bit worried if we could locate the place. As it was the GPS took us straight to the address of 'Lower Catesby' and the Clocktower. The temporary BNB sitters were wonderful and informative and we met the owners the next day. They too were also wonderful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing; the room was huge and wonderfully appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay and moreso. To top it off it snowed and the surroundings looked like something out of a Christmas post card. The sitting room and glass covered patio were also available for guests to use, so it was just a wonderful place to visit and stay.

There was nothing negative whatsoever.

Large luxury suite with comfortable settee and everything you could need. Mega-large extremely comfortable bed. Excellent full-english breakfast with many additional choices. The building was full of extremely interesting paintings, photographs and articacts too numerous to mention. The proprietors were very friendly, interesting and accommodating.

Nothing, really.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts who made me feel at home, a very spacious room at the top of the tower led by a spiral staircase, lined with fairylights, which at the top was the workings of the tower clock dating back many years and very interesting to see for those that haven't seen how an old clock works! The views from the room and balcony were beautiful which looked onto the surrounding countryside and also Catesby Chapel a short distance away. The breakfast in the morning was very generous, with a full English breakfast cooked to your liking, freshly squeezed orange juice, great coffee and also cereal, fruit and yoghurt if you can manage it!

The only thing I didn't like was not being able to spend my time enjoying the surroundings with the many walks that surround the area through the beautiful countryside, as I was away most of the daylight hours for business purposes!

The warm welcome received was lovely as we had been travelling a long while and needed to rest. Lizzie was an amazing host, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely superb too.

It took us a few extra minutes to find the location along a gated road, however the location and views were well worth the effort.
