This was an excellent simple hotel. The room and en-suite were a good size and spotlessly clean. There was even a fridge for your drinks. The breakfast was very good, with a choice of eggs, ham, toast, etc. It was a 5-10 minute walk to the centre of town, with a good choice of friendly bars and restaurants serving great food and drink at remarkably reasonable prices. And Marco was the perfect host!

The hotel can be difficult to find. It's less than five minutes walk from the bus station and painted bright canary orange but, for some reason, it's number 22 in the street and is right next to number 36. A sign outside the main gate would have been very useful to confirm that you were at the right place before you knocked on the door.

Marco and his wife were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was at the top of the spiral staircase and Marco insisted on carrying our bag up, and down again at the end of our stay . He was very accommodating about making breakfast early when we had a bus to catch. The room was very spacious and clean with a large shower room.

It would have been nice to have facilities to make a hot drink. When we learned how the shower worked it was fine but some information about this in the room would have been helpful. It took a long time for hot water to reach the bathroom.

Marco & Goya were brilliant hosts. So welcoming and helpful- telling us good places to visit, like Arinaga, the local beach town which had an artisan market with live music on the Sunday. Had a lovely day there, a real non tourist place. The breakfasts were lovely, fresh orange juice, omelette, fruit, yoghurt, toasties! We dined in several evenings and the food was very good, nicer than we had at the local restaurants. Goya is a great cook. Marco's friendly personality really made the stay special, giving us information on bus times, providing an umbrella when it rained, offering coffee any time of day. As a small guest house we had some good evenings chatting with the other guests. It really was like staying with friends rather than in a hotel. On our last day our flight wasnt til the evening and Marco let us keep our room til 5pm, which was great. The location was brilliant as not at all overcrowded with tourists, and the bus services were great, with the bus station 5 minutes walk. We headed up to Las Palmas couple of days, to the aquarium whichvwas very good, and to the old town. The b&b was really comfortable and clean, nicely decorated and our room had a lovely little balcony overlooking the pool. Didnt get to use the pool as weather not so hot, but I'm sure would be lovely for a dip in hot weather.

We enjoyed a fantastic 3 night stay at this traditional 5 roomed hotel. We were allocated room 5 which had a beautiful vaulted ceiling and was well equipped with everything needed for a short break. The bed was particularly comfortable. Breakfast offered was excellent, we enjoyed yogurt and fruit, orange juice, quality coffee and a cooked option each morning (omelette, eggs with ham and bacon with eggs). We had dinner here one evening, selecting croquettes to share, mussels and black pork, all were well cooked and served piping hot. We were also given complimentary deserts and honey rum with our coffees. It was the little touches like this and the attentive service throughout our stay that really makes this establishment feel like a home from home. Nothing is too much trouble for Marco. Just a 5 minute walk from Aguimes bus station makes this a great base from which to explore the island.

We loved staying in Casona Canaria. Everything was great. Marco was such a lovely host and his wife cooked delicious breakfasts for us every morning. We looked forward to the yoghurt with honey and fruit each day. The accommodation was excellent. We had a big room with a fridge, table and chairs and a lovely bathroom. Our room overlooked the swimming pool. Casona Canaria was full of quirky touches, a labour of love for its owners. We would recommend it highly. 5 minutes walk to the beautiful centre of Aguimes.

Loved it all!

Marcos was very welcoming. He was so nice to us & our toddler. The room was clean and modern (deluxe with balcony). We liked that this room had a separate walk-in wardrobe area for suitcases & coats. The room had a fridge & bottled water. Breakfast was tasty (fresh oj, yoghurt & honey, coffee, toast con tomato & eggs in many ways).

We booked half-board which worked out about extra €60 for dinner per night (2 adults & 1 year old toddler). While the food was tasty, it was similar to food we would get at a tapas bar in Gran Canaria for less than half the price so represented poor value for money. Only one desert option offered (both nights same thing). My advice would be to book bed & breakfast and pay on the day of you want some tapas for dinner.

Good sized room with all necessary facilities. Choice of cooked items at a served breakfast. Well cooked evening meals available. Short walk to centre and the old town. Friendly genial host. On street parking readily available. Decent value for money.

Water temperature for showers on the cooler side. Credit card payments not available.

Close to the airport and unique, not an international anonymous hotel. A hidden paradise behind wooden doors - so nice to relax in and so welcome after a flight. Because it was listed as a B&B, we didn't expect to be offered evening food - but we were, and it was greatly appreciated and good. Short and flat walk to explore the old town (one of the oldest and prettiest on the island) the next morning.

The water temperature in the shower could have been hotter.

Marco was energetic, a great communicator and very amusing - made you feel very at home. The evening food (which I think only we had on the one night that we stayed) was AMAZING - we'd not really expected too much but we were blown away with the dishes, all freshly prepared in the kitchen, so not to be overlooked. The mussels were superb.

Nice staff, comfortable house, great breakfast.

They do not accept credit cards at all. Bookings website says they do but it’s not accepted at all. We had to go get cash from ATM since banks were closed. The ATM and foreign fees made it that we paid over 30-35$ to simply get the cash for one night stay. It was our last day in Island so we did not want to deal with EURO cash to go back home. expensive for a room in a house.
