Beautiful Hotel. I loved that they had coffee at the end of the hall to your rooms ready at 6:00 am as I’m an early riser. Best water pressure in the shower ever. A very nice touch was when you went to eat in the restaurant, they asked which country you are from and then put a little flag on your table The buffet breakfast was amazing with a vast and fresh selection- most times my main meal of the day!! Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Personally noise doesn’t bother me, but because the doors are authentic antique doors they are not thick or sealed , you can definitely hear the noises from outside. If you are sensitive ask for a room more isolated

One of the most amazing hotels I have stayed in in my whole life. If you can stay here, absolutely do without hesitation! It is SO unique and beautiful. From the food, to the spa, to the pool, to the grounds... this is a 10/10. We loved it so much we ended up adding on another night at the end of our trip. We also were here with our 15 mo old - this was awesome with the pool and so much space for her to walk around. She enjoyed the parrots on site, exploring the ruins, and the fountains were a hit! The staff was great bringing the crib and having a high chair for her at the restaurant. I could have spent another week here! If I am back in Antigua, this will be my stay for sure.

It is a little annoying to charge extra for the crib.

The hotel itself is a museum . It is luxurious and with excellent customer service . All staff were extremely friendly and attentive . There is so much to admire and enjoy. Spending extra for the room with access to the spa was worth every penny . The spa is incredible . The garden, the bar / restaurant in the spa area and the jacuzzi were incredible . I treated myself to a massage and Bertha was phenomenal. I would definitely come back . We made sure to go to the sister restaurant “fork and spoon “ and the view is phenomenal , a must see!!

This hotel is amazing! The spa facikities are top quality and the pool is with warm water. There i plenty to do on discover on premises with so many interesting musea all over the place. Make sure to take the shuttle up to cierro sto domingo which is a beautiful cultural center with the most amazing views and restaurant. The restaurant on premises is nice for having lunch and dinner a la carte!

The buffet breakfast gets tiring after a couple of times. I would recommend having breakfast at the many restaurants in Antigua.

The hotel is so unique and beautiful! The room is cozy and romantic and has everything you could need/want! I got a good nights sleep in a cozy bed! I also visited the spa, which is great for relaxing by the pool. The restaurant was great and I ordered room service- which was easy to order, quick and delicious! I enjoyed a massage before I stayed and it was one of the best massages I've had!

The pool is not a great place to hang out with friends. Which is okay, I just wish I'd have known beforehand. We came for a girls spa day and they are pretty strict about being quiet and where to eat.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff.

The night before my stay, I got an email informing me that the hotel is under construction, and that there will be construction noise from 9 am to 6 pm. This information should have been shared BEFORE my booking became non-refundable. I think they should put this in their profile on Booking.com so no one will make a non-refundable booking and then get ambushed by this noise announcement after the booking has been made.

The hotel is stunning - you're literally inside an old convent that has old artifacts and new art tastefully spread throughout. The grounds are immaculate, and picturesque, the staff is super knowledgable, and professional. The ambience of opera music plays softly through the space, and romantic candlelight abounds at the restaurants and stunning spa. The rooms with spa access have access to the heated pool and sauna pool, which is something right out of a movie. The food at the two restaurants is some of the best in the country.

Nothing at all -- honestly, we are dreaming about going back.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautiful. I liked the back entrance to the spa and rooftop, it felt mysterious like a small maze. The decoration throughout the hotel is inspiring. Having a museum in the premises was great! A whole day in the hotel is really feasible with so much to see.

The refrigerator in the room is locked with purchasable snacks so it cannot be used with food brought by you like water bottles or leftover food.

The vibe of authenticity. The museum and archeological exhibits gives the place a unique character. The view from the roof is enormous. You can’t grab it in a photo. The spa was a great experience with the pools. The massage itself is old school methods in which a massage was done by a person who was trained to do massages and not from people who are in need for the money.

Hard to find the room. There aren’t many signage but that is understandable too because it would take away from the integrity of the place.

Casa Santo Domingo is a masterful architectural restoration, among the 4-5 most spectacular hotels in which I've stayed in the 74 countries I have visited. The staff is extremely friendly and professional in every aspect. This is a property that should not be missed. Even people that don't stay there should visit to see the museums, chapels, crypts and galleries!

Nothing could have been better. As a builder of ultra high-end properties I was astounded at the degree to detail in all aspects of both the property and operations.
