Good location, not in centre of party bars, but everything walkable in 5 minutes. Breakfast is served at the cafe over the road and lots of options. Pool was decent. Our room (number 7) was lovely. Bedding comfortable, large bathroom and 2 terraces. Fabulous sea views from your bed! In December, sadly we couldn’t see the sunset just around the corner but at other times of the year apparently it would be right in front of us. The ‘cove’ mentioned in previous reviews is more of a small concrete entryway into the sea so not a private beach. Nice staff, helpful. No sunbeds around the pool but a few daybeds/rattan sofas to relax on.

Currently some renovations of a bungalow on site. Wouldn’t affect us usually if the weather was calm as we would have been out each day but due to the wind, most boat trips were cancelled and a couple of days illness meant we were at the resort more than usual. Wasn’t terribly noisy but feel it should be mentioned so that future guests are aware. May not be too much longer for renovation?

Couldn’t recommend Clear View Resorts enough. The room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the pool (which was really nice and clean) and the sea. The staff were also incredibly hospitable and were always happy to help if we needed anything. We always had a good laugh with the owner and he really did look after us the whole time. We recommend renting mopeds from the hotel - the owner sorts it all out and even when we had a bit of trouble he was so kind to us about it all! A lovely bonus was the free fresh watermelon every afternoon! Equally, if you want to organise taxis, diving, view points or want to see some turtles / aquatic life, speak with the owner, he will be able to help with it all. Overall such good value for money to stay in this beautiful hotel and in a great location. Would definitely stay here again next time we come to Koh Tao!

The location was out of the main area but still walkable and nice and quiet. We absolutely loved the room, it was so clean, cozy and romantic with beautiful warm lighting and many light switches to change it up. The pool was magnificent and clean, and the staff cleaned our room without fail everyday. Bed was FIRM but that’s the way we like it. The staff and owner were extremely friendly and hospitable. The location on the beach is magic. Netflix was available and you can connect from your phone! Overall loved our stay, thank you very much Clear View!

This hotel is a small family friendly hotel. Rooms are spacious inside and outside. Comfortable beds as shower. Outside you have a big terrace with lounge chairs. Perfect to see the sunrise or sunset. Everyday the room is cleaned and in the afternoon you will get fresh watermelon. The owner is very friendly and he will help you with everything for a very good price. We arranged our motorbikes, fishtail and some taxi boats which were great! The swimmingpool is big abd very welcoming after a hot walk or ride. Overall this hotel is very family friendly, no noise at night and great place to stay as a family because the bungalow are quiet big!

I cannot say I agree with the negative reviews. We rented two small houses (3 and 4) and they were clean upon arrival. The houses are definitely not new but do have a certain charm and the sea views are magnificent. We followed the recommendation to not leave any food in the bins and did not see any cockroaches. We had some mini ants close to the front door but they were removed by the cleaning team and they did not come back. Beach is closeby as well as nice restaurants/breakfast options. Pool was clean and refreshing. Accomodation offers laundry service (well done), tour reservation (we arranged a snorkling tour and were picked up at the resort) and motor bike rental (did not try). We were offered fresh water melon every day by the owner. Wifi worked fine. If you are looking for a sparkling, newly renovated top notch accomodation you better look elsewhere but if you are just looking for a decent, clean accomodation at a fair price I can recommend.

Matresses are hard but this seems to be common in Thailand :-)

The view was just amazing, resort reminded us of a mini golf course with pristine white waffled walls curved steps down to the front and Astro turf areas. We had room 2 and we think that room was the best view on the resort right by the rocks that lead into the sea, you get an Astro turfed area where there is a slightly raised basket seated area you can just chill and watch the sunset on or the boats go by. Snorkelling literally on our doorstep couldn’t have been nicer. Staff were friendly , had daily water melon and the manager was friendly checking unobtrusively if all was ok. Room itself was tastefully modern and clean, Water boiler in room was very useful and decent size fridge but was a bit big for the room. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and all other things you might need not too far to walk too. We ate at In Touch food was amazing and lots of choice.

Room was a triple so had an extra single bed which we didn’t need and made the room quite cramped. No where to sit and get ready , no plugs within a good distance to the mirror area. No breakfast included as advertised unless that was the daily water melon. Shower is right by the toilet so everything gets wet including the toilet when you take a shower but space is limited.

Unbeatable views and a small private beach at the base of the resort. The pool was a good size and had lots of places to lounge. it was about halfway between Mae Haad Beach and sairee beach which made it ideal to explore both parts. A/C blew cold and at night it was a perfect temp. They provided complementary water bottles daily and the room had a large minifridge to keep them cool.

While I understand it is was a bungalow, there was a few ants you would find on the counter, even without having food out they covered most personal belongings on the counter but seemed to be mostly by the windows and didn't get near out bags or the bed.

What a bliss our stay at Clear View was!!! We spent 6 nights at the standard triple bungalow- beach front (the one with the white fence if you look at the photos from Booking) and we loved it! The bungalow was basic but clean and had everything you would need - a fridge, AC, good size bathroom. The bungalow was cleaned daily and the veranda outfront overlooking the bay was just spectacular! We spent most of our time there anyway:) even though it was the standard bungalow, it was the one with the best veranda and had good shelter from the sun. We noticed that the deluxe bungalow opposite ours didn't have such good shelter so one wouldn't be able to stay much outside their veranda during the day as it would be too hot (pictures attached). The best part is that the guests of the hotel have access to their own little bay which is full of colorful fish and corals. The hotel is located close to many restaurants and a few minutes walk to Sairee beach but it's secluded enough so you don't have any noise during the evenings. If I go back to Ko Tao I would definitely stay again at Clear View! I was a little adamant after reading some of the reviews here but I guess some people expect 5 stars from a 3 star resort... As I said the standard bungalow was basic but the view was 10 stars and the proximity to the water was just incomparable with any other place! It was great for snorkeling. If you want a beach - it's just a few minutes down the road. Breakfast was also good and is served at a restaurant just 1 minute walk from the resort, served til 12pm which is handy if you want a snooze. Overall my husband and I loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone who plans to go to Ko Tao!

This was amazing! The room was awesome. Bed was extremely comfortable and massive, fridge was huge and a really good sized bathroom. The aircon and fan was awesome and kept the whole room really cool. The staff were absolutely lovely and let us check in early which was very helpful. Had a beautiful view at the pool and was only a walk away from all the shops and restaurants.

The pool was a little dirty but it was quite windy so could have just been because off that and a bit of an off smell when walking to the hut but could not smell it once inside.

Clean room, towels changed daily. Hot water (electric shower) & large body soap and shampoo bottles in shower. Large fridge,kettle, plates, cutlery & mugs in room. Bottled water replaced daily and offered a plate of refreshing watermelon daily. 2 comfy chairs on balcony to chill out. Friendly service. Great sea views. Relaxing quiet location only a short easy walk to shops, restaurants & beach bars. Sandy beach is 3-4 mins walk away. You can enter the sea in front of hotel but need to step over a few rocks. The tide was in covering the small sandy beach during the daytime on the 8 days we stayed in January. Everything was as we expected based on description of hotel on Booking.com. We were in bungalow 2 on the seafront accessed by quite steep steps down to bungalow. This was not a problem for us but might be for some. Other bungalows further back from seafront have much less steps but still have balconies with sea view.

Nothing really. A few hooks in the bathroom to hang up wet swim clothes would be good! I worried if I hung them over the balcony, the win could blow them into the sea! This is not a problem for other bungalows further back from the sea.
