Me and my partner stayed at Green Edge Villa for two nights. We were absolutely blown away by the beauty and cleanness of this place. I was in awe of the pool overlooking the rice fields. The location is fantastic, in nature but only a 10 minute walk from all the best bars and food locations. Chandrika was the most attentive, kind host we could have asked for. She was so welcoming, friendly and prepared the best breakfast. As were the younger boys that worked there. Overall, we could not recommend this hotel more and you would be silly not to stay here. Just perfect!

That we didn’t stay longer!

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful accommodation. We were warmly receive by Chanrika. She is always in for a chat and manages the hotel with love. The rooms are clean, comfortabel and have a beautiful view over the rice fields like in the picture. Breakfast is recommended. They make delicious pancakes with coconut and omelet besides some toast. Everyone can use the kitchen and fridge privately as well. The location is nice and quiet and within 10 minutes you walk to the beach. We had 2 surf lessons. The owner of the hotel was not at the location but made sure to contact us to see if everything was okay which was really nice. The price is excellent for what you get and we felt very safe during our stay. All in all, I would really reccommend Green Edge Villa.

We loved the warm Welcome by the hosts. As soon after we made the booking we got a call from the owner of the place and We were very well informed about the place, facilities and the routing. It was amazed. We got a Welcome drinks 🍹, Very contributed after our long drive. One of the best place we have ever stayed 👍

Everything was perfect

Everything was perfect. Room and commune rooms were really clean. We had an upgrade of the room. The villa is surrounded by a beautiful garden where calm and tranquility reign. The boss, Chandrila and the staff are super friendly and they helped us during our stay. The breakfast of Chandrila was super delicious. She is so welcoming and nice woman and made us feel at home. We will come back for sure! Thanks again for everything

i met some lovely people there and would loved to stay longer. I can highly recommend going. the pool is nice, the host is super helpful and it’s overall a great place to stay. there’re two houses - one in the front with the pool and a second building behind it. next to the pool they have an open kitchen where you can cook your own food as well as store stuff in the fridge. lot of families were staying there during my stay.

just as fyi: it can be loud with all the wildlife around. I personally didn’t mind.

Staff was very responsive and accommodating Great location, it’s not facing the road, very isolated and quiet. Old building is a grand place, big clean rooms and renovated bathroom. The pool with the common area is a good addition to the villa. Very nice and quiet place.

The villa is located walking distance from the Hikkaduwa Beach. The rooms were comfortable, clean and loved the paddy field view from the room. The pool is also being cleaned and maintained well. There are kitchen facilities with BBQ grill so you can get your food cooked as well. The staff is really friendly if you need any help they would help you. Highly recommend this place

it was a lovely property and the room was huge as well as the bathroom and all very modern. nice air con and a really comfy bed. you can have use of the kitchen which we didn’t take advantage of but is handy to know you can. we didn’t use the pool as when we were first shown around it did not look particularly clean wether this changed the other days we were there i’m not sure as we didn’t check again. about a 10 minute walk to the beach so not too bad.

the issue with payment does need to be resolved as other comments on here say the say thing and we heard other guests have the same issue. asked if we had euros/pounds/dollars which luckily we had some english pounds as they didn’t seem to want to take rupees at all. the exchange rate would have made our payment £31 but when the lady phoned her boss he seemed to want £36 which is significantly more and we had to show the proper exchange rate and there was quite a few back and forth calls with the boss before it was resolved. the lady who was always around was nice enough about it but it makes it quite awkward and you feel a bit like they are trying to cheat you.

I was blown away by the sheer beauty of this property. Trees and greenery everywhere well maintained and immaculate!! Beauty of paddy fields & palm trees and above all, singings of birds gave me the best relaxation after long journey from Colombo. The check-in was smooth and the rooms are super spacious .the furniture is very pretty. Felt like never leaving this place. I had an early morning walk / stroll around the place was super fulfilling with lots of birds chirping around. Only 300 meters to beach & I fell in love with the scenery & local delicacies were good. The rooms /property is awesome & staff is very friendly, and service is prompt. Breakfast is good. Everything was so relaxing and carefree. I truly recommend a visit, to anyone who wants to get away from it all, and for those who need technology there is free WI FI to use.
