The staff was very friendly and caring. The hotel is located in the city center, close to Piazza Maggiore and many tourist attractions. The breakfast was tasty. The beds were comfortable.

Unfortunately, during our entire stay (7 nights) there was no hot water in the bathroom due to the water heater malfunctioning. The owner tried her best to fix it, but the handyman needed parts unavailable in Bologna and it took a long time for them to arrive.

I liked the location and Michael who met me was very nice and helpful.Bed was comfortable and place was very clean..Breakfast was adequate.

I found it extremely difficult to find as I did not realise area was closed over the weekend and when taxi left me I had a long walk.I asked people where it was and was walking around with luggage for about an hour and a half and weather was very hot.There was no İnternet on my phone and I went to two places and their İnternet was not working either.I feel place needs a sign at start of Lane where it is situated

The place is old and very authentic, it is a shared apartment. The location was amazing, close to the city center, shops, and restaurants, and easy to get to the train station. The bedroom was beautiful, and the bed was comfortable. So was the design and look of the breakfast shared area. We appreciated that we could leave our luggage in the flat after check-out. The host was responsive through messaging.

The room was very small. The breakfast area is very dark. We had some problems with the hot water that didn't work on the first night, but it was resolved the next day.

Location can't be beat.

Poor communication. No response to questions. The shared bath does not have a shower. It only has a bathtub.

Great location, interesting decor, very friendly staff. Organised a taxi for us for early in the morning.

The house is a few minutes on foot from the main square. We appreciated that we could leave our luggage in the flat after check-out. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was nice. There was cold water and wine at our disposal in the common room where we could sit.

The central location can be tricky, especially during the weekend. We stayed on Sunday night and there was a big noise coming from the Piazza Maggiore at one or two in the morning. I would also suggest to replace the ventilator in the bathroom and the air-condition in the room: both are too loud for anyone who is a light sleeper like my friend.

What a fascinating place, with an incredibly beautiful shared living/dining room full of interesting pictures, books and artefacts. The place is in a perfect location only two minutes from piazza di maggiore. Perfect. Best of all was Michael’s kindness and cheerfulness, when we arrived late and then when he had to come back to let us to rescue a phone we’d left there. Excellent.

Fantastic host ( Tommy) could not be more helpful. Texted me with directions, waited for me to arrive and explained everything. Loved the art, brilliant location, just so quaint and really great to be in the centre of Bologna. So many eating places near and Ristorante El Moro ?? in centre was a masterclass in food and service and one of the best I have had in years. Find it as a complete gem. Not far from Bologna Central.

Room needs blackout or people need to bring eye masks. Maybe more selection for breakfast e.g 2-3 cereals, grapefruit maybe and different breads with cheeses/meats. Also did not realize would have to pay for cleaning on top so paid 16 euros on arrival ( part of it tax). Maybe that could be in the price.

Great location. Easy to walk to lots of interesting places. Quiet but right in the middle of everything. The decor is amazing - like being in an art gallery but feels like home. Our room was spacious, warm and had everything we wanted. Great facilities for having a rest and cup of tea. Breakfast was good and self service meant we could have it whenever suited us. Tommy, our host went out of his way to look after us and gave us great advice about restaurants and how things work. Thanks also for organising our very early taxi. It arrived!

This is a stunning property in an amazing location - set in the heart of Bologna and minutes walk to the main tourist attractions, it's a classical property with lots of period features. I loved it, it was a unique experience compared to most of the generic hotels I usually stay in.

I'm a big fan of having a private bathroom, but to be honest the bathroom suite was beautiful and I never had any issues accessing it when I needed to.
