Everything about this place is magical! Breakfast, lunch/snacks, drinks and evening food in there restaurant was great! The pod was everything you can expect, was very clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable with net around. Shower was great! There is hot water. The cenote’s were great spent most of our time in them watching the turtles, catfish and deer fish spa. The natura rescue was great our guide ceaser was great. And their cenote was unbelievable!! Staff were friendly!! And if you’re worrying about the bugs please don’t we spent two nights and sore a millipede on the path and that’s it. Obviously there’s lots of mosquitoes your in the jungle. So bring bug spray. Defo use the bikes and cycle into akumal we found a lovely restaurant tavern.
These are not bad points just needs improving - bring your own small travel fan to put in the bed area, there is a fan in the pod but the heat is unbearable still. - going back and too the sanctuary maybe use better transport

The tents on the property are in a beautiful forest. We saw two Iguanas and monkeys. They also have two cenotes on site in which you can swim or even get a fish pedicure (try it - it's fun!). The staff was super friendly and eager to help. A small continental breakfast is included, which you can increase for a small price. Distance to Akumal is walkable. In general the area feels very safe (we walked to the village at night without any problems). They have moskito nets around the beds. I would stay there again.
The moskito nets were a bit stuffy but it felt good to have them (even though we didn't see many moskitos). My major negative point was definitely the man-made noise in the morning starting at around 7:00 (we heard leafblowers and other loud machinery), which kind of ruins the feeling of being in a piece of rainforest. There's also a construction site nearby but that should not be there for much longer (the train was already running when we were there and it was actually pretty quiet).

It was magical arriving in the dark & being led to our hut, the paths all lit up through the trees. The units are much more than tents & have en suite bathroom facilities, which is a first for me, even for glamping! This made a huge difference not having to find shoes, unzip the tent & trudge to the loos in the dark, as a result slept much better! Having a shower in the outside - but still totally enclosed attached was a luxury! Swimming in the cenote in the morning was very special & even a life jacket for children - which my daughter really appreciated as she had been rubbed badly the day before by being given an adults one. Free foot spa, see photo!! Breakfast is simple but delicious. I was worried by other reviews about noise from the construction of the new train, but I need not have, I heard no noise apart from the birds!
That the toaster for breakfast only had one side working - so only 2 out of 4, not enough & had to queue as a result.

It was so amazing to be surrounded by nature. We made some lovely iguana friends. Great news we didn't see that many bugs and it wasn't the worst place for mosquitos (go figure!) and for our 'giraffe' room the wifi was fantastic. The bathroom 'outside' had great hot water and water pressure and the room itself was spacious and clean. The mosquito net added extra security and the room can be blacked out so we slept really well until about 4/5 am when you hear the building site nearby. Free bikes and beautiful cenotes with a fish spa :)
1. Sadly the building site and trucks nearby are very loud, I woke up a few times thinking there's a storm outside. 2. On the check in day we weren't greeted with a smile, the girl seemed more annoyed and disturbed than anything else. 3. The breakfast, although free, was very limited. Fruit, juice, toast, yogurt, granola and jam. We had to keep asking for another pot of yogurt every morning (which was like two spoonfuls). I understand it creates less waste but we would hate to ask for more than 2 times.

Our stay in the jungle was absolutely amazing! We had the nature reserve tour just as we arrived and Ceaser our guide showed us all the rescued animals, we tasted a wild chilli plant and honey from bees on the grounds which was the best honey I have ever tasted, we stopped in the truck half way to the reserve to hold a wild tarantula which was in the road. All of the animals are all so well cared for here, we swam in a private Cenote with stalagmites and stalactites all around us, a truly magical experience and we even got to see fire flys at the end of our tour <3 truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! You 100% have to stay here! Also a continental breakfast was included which was really nice :) we only stayed for one night but wish we stayed for more as they do yoga here I think and also seeing turtles which we couldn’t do due to weather reasons but more of a reason to come back ;)
Nothing.

Really lovely property and the staff were incredibly helpful and kind. They helped us organise some day trips (I would highly recommend the animal rescue tour it was incredible and we got so much information from our guide about the animals they are helping). The food in the restaurant was so yummy too!!
As you can imagine the tents get extremely hot at night but having a hand held fan really helps and although there were a lot of mosquitos it did feel like they weren’t getting into the tent. Also, although there were free bikes there were only two and they were quite old and rusty, and one of the seats wouldn’t move up or down so was quite hard to ride.

Excellent cenotes as part of the property and you MUST do the Temascal experience, absolutely worth it!!!! And in case you are interested in bee-keeping, don’t miss the opportunity to talk to the owner and visit his hives on site, he literally knows everything about them (meliponines, so without stingers - there exist only a few hundred types worldwide and around 55 call Mexico their home).
Nothing to do with the site directly but the horrible Maya Train lines are being built close by and destroy completely the concept of this beautiful hotel (alternative & conscious tourism vs. mass tourism).

Beautiful setup, cabins are plenty comfy, good bed, good shower and barely any bugs. The campsite has 2 cenotes on it, and one has (only at the stairs) little black 'spa'-fishes that nibble at your skin. If you don't splash around too much and keep your eyes open you can even see little turtles. Also: great snacks! Nice place to chill out.
The leaf blower.. noisy and not very sustainable, I would try raking if cleanup needs to be done at all. Also: vegan options are a bit limited and were not all there.

How you are surrounded by nature everywhere. The food was great and cenotes were excellent, super quiet so you had them to yourself! Staff are great. We loved our stay so much!
It would we good to have hot water in the showers - we couldn’t get this working when we stayed but we didn’t actually ask them about it so it wasn’t much of a big deal :)

it’s a paradise. beautiful and has incredible energy. everything felt comfortable. I loved the cenotes. one of them has the fish spa and you sit on the steps and get your feet nibbled by little fishes. I really liked that this place supports the animal rescue sanctuary that is a must to see if you are going out there. you get to spend time with some incredible animals and feed them. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back. if you sit by the cenote and be quite you will see the wild monkeys in the trees, the hawks and the other birds of pray.
sometimes you can hear the Mayan train construction.
