The place has had a nice little face-lift since we last stayed and looked stunning! The building and surrounding areas are so beautiful and romantic which makes the hotel stay experience special. Staff were friendly at reception. The room was perfect for us. Most comfortable bed and pillows ever. Quiet and spacious. We wanted a more relaxed dinner and ate in the drawing room and it had a lovely vibe. Can't remember the name of the soup of the day I had but it was incredible and wings were tasty. Great selection of drinks at the bar. Sauna, hot tub and steam room were lovely to use. We went twice !! Would like to try the spa properly next time aswell as the new restaurant. Overall we had a great stay and will definitely be back!

Hot tub was a bit cold the first night. Don't know where people got robes for the spa area as we didn't have them in our room but saw them in the changing rooms piled up to wash. I assume you ask for them at reception but we weren't aware of this on arrival. Don't think you can order room service to the room which we would have used if it was available. Breakfast was more less greasy standard Irish or cereal/brown bread/fruit and i got pancakes last time I was in so I was disappointed with lack of selection in the morning Only basic tea/coffee available no flavoured lattes, cappuccino etc. As the breakfast came with our stay it was decent but I would've paid more if more options were available!

Beautiful and elegant.

I wouldn’t say I don’t like…but I would have liked to know that my reservation put me in the stables not the main house. When you see a photo of a property, that’s what you expect the accommodations to look like. Some of the staff at front desk could have given more of the Irish hospitality. Like so many places these days there is emphasis on procedure that often overshadows a warm welcome..I traveled far, many places can often get you in your a room a lil early, sometimes it’s not possible but I had the sense there was no possibility because of being short staffed. That’s too bad.

Excellent service overall, the room was lovely, the staff were so welcoming and lovely. The fact that we could bring our dog was the highlight. It was my partners birthday and everyone made it feel special. The dinner was wonderful with amazing staff. We will be back.

It’s just a small thing but as we were in a room on our own for breakfast with our dog we didn’t get great service. I ordered a simple omelette and the wrong order came twice. As I was on crutches I had no access to the continental buffet without my partner carrying a tray of things up, which was a pity. We also know that breakfast was busy and when we told the staff they brought us coffee and pastries to our room which really made up for it. Thanks.

Before we arrived, we found a huge fairy-lit tree outside on the grounds that our kids immediately had an exciting time running around underneath, even after such a long day of driving. Staff were friendly, even accommodating our quirks such as having 2 children and arriving very late in the evening. The room was appropriate for us as a family and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast made us ready for the day ahead after our stay.

We had to call reception to ask for the Wi-Fi password, it wasn't printed anywhere. There is no mobile data signal out here in the middle of nowhere.

This hotel is a vintage manor home from the 1700's. The ambience was fantastic! We loved the unique decor and this fit our main requirement which is to stay somewhere with character and charm. It's extremely peaceful and the grounds are stunning. Truly appreciated the gratis hot tub, steam room and sauna. The restaurant food was excellent and there was a very nice bar. We wished we were staying another night.

The floor in our room was not as clean as we'd like. There was a lot of dust under the bed. This would not deter me from returning.

Friendly staff, comfortable, clean, good food, and lovely period property that has been nicely restored - cylinder glass remaining in some of the windows in the main building which is lovely to see. Genuine Hospitality as it should be, which many other hotels seem to have lost.

I really enjoy staying here. The only time I didn’t like it as much was in the outbuildings (in the 500 room numbers) there was a bad smell in the room, the lights were not functioning correctly.

Gorgeous period home converted to a hotel, the whole hotel was beautifully decorated with some quirky aspects which we loved. The room was spacious, bathroom was huge! Lovely and warm, on a very cold day, and smelt nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and happy to chat with us about the house itself. We didn't see or use the spa but it was included in our booking which we thought was a great benefit!

Cobwebs everywhere :) Having to go outside to get to our room block was a very minor inconvenience, but I can imagine in wet weather it would be an annoyance!

The general setting was beautiful, the bedroom in the main house was fabulous. The staff were friendly and attentive, the young receptionists greeted us with a very warm welcome. There was so many areas to chill out in, they serve afternoon teas in the library, I will be back to try it, overall a great place to stay,

The carpet on the main stairs needed a good hoovering, plastic cups in the room no real glasses. There was a smell in the sauna/steam building.

The structure is beautiful, and the facilities are great, including the Bathhouse Spa, with its outdoor jacuzzi and amazing masseuses. The restaurant was very nice and the food delicious. This hotel is pet friendly and this was a big plus for us as we went with our two Frenchies. The staff was very accommodating and went the extra mile to let us have a great breakfast in the restaurant. I would like to mention Ger, who made us feel very welcome with our furry kids and even gave them some treats, really kind.

Bellinter House is fantastic. We stayed in the loft with our large family group. The bedrooms are lovely and clean and the beds are very comfortable. There are five double bedrooms and one single bedroom. There are two shower rooms and a toilet and this suited our party well. The downstairs areas and the outside space has a massive wow appeal. It felt very luxurious staying here. For a large party it is ideal. The staff are all very nice, professional, friendly and helpful. We were consistently cared and catered for. The breakfast is very special. We absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely be back! Thanks team Bellinter!

The only one slight problem we had was that we couldn’t find anywhere to hang clothes in the loft rooms. We all had special outfits with us that needed to be unpacked and hung. A simple fix for Bellinter house would be a hook on the back of each bedroom door that a couple of hangers can hang from.
