Great location in the heart of the vibrant city centre of Leeds. We stayed here as we were attending the First Direct Arena... which was around a 10 minute walk. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The entire hotel was very clean, and our room was comfortable... and smelt beautiful. We didn't use the restaurant or bar, but the food smelt lovely. We were initially planning to travel to the hotel by train. However, due to several cancellations that day, we decided to take the car... thankfully, the hotel had its own car park... which was a reasonable price. We would definitely choose to stay at the Novatel again on our next visit to Leeds.

Lovely decor and space in public areas, comfortable good-sized bar/lounge with drink offers on. We were given voucher for free large wine per person. Room clean and spacious with room fridge, very comfy bed, rituals toiletries, huge bathroom sink, good quality breakfast with lots of choice and kept topped up, great location

At breakfast there were no mini bowls or spoons for serving the jams or peanut butter. Bar staff seemed very stressed to the point of rude. Not keen on having toilet separate from rest of bathroom. Would prefer just a shower rather than shower over bath as tight to climb in/out because of position of sink

As expected, it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Immaculately clean, lovely fragrance as you enter the hotel and walk towards the reception. The staff was very friendly and professional. The location of the hotel was perfect, close to the railway station and Trinity mall. Lots of restaurants nearby. If you're interested in arts there's an art gallery nearby as well as a library. Leeds university is at a walking distance too. The rooms were very clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We had a good night's sleep. All the necessary amenities were available. The housekeeping staff was also very considerate. We had left a do not disturb sign at our door and the housekeeping staff were kind enough to leave clean towels and water at our doorstep. The breakfast was amazing. Lots of options and freshly baked items. Had a wonderful experience and will definitely stay here again if we visit Leeds.

I arrived just after 10am knowing that check-in didn't open until 3, but I was let into my room, anyway which was a huge help. All the staff I met were very polite and professional, and the room itself was clean, quiet and had everything I needed for a 3-night stay while attending a local event. Besides that, the all-you-can-eat breakfast has all the food and drink you could possibly want!

I paid for a superior room which I felt was just as well appointed as a 'standard' Novotel room, with the only difference I noticed being a coffee machine. Having stayed in a standard room at this hotel before, I thought that the room had the same facilities and floor space; however, it was on the top floor so that meant that it was quieter. Even so, this would not put me off staying here again.

The location was excellent, as it was so close to the city center..Therefore , I could go shopping and dining out with ease. It's proximity to the rail station ensured that me and my partner were easily able to make several side trips to Harrogate, York etc.

The menu range for the indoor restaurant could have been more expensive. The in house laundry service on offer was way too expensive to use. E.G..more than 3 pounds per shirt ! In the end, I took my laundry to an automaic laundry in the Merrion Centre and paid the far more reasonable price of 7 pounds in total for washing and drying.

Breakfast, Cafe Bar, friendly and happy staff. Evening meal was very good but would have loved a pudding on the dessert menu, i.e., Normandy Apple Tart, etc.

Room Location, we booked a Superior Queen Room with view of Courtyard but the view was of the street. The decor of the room was good but the carpet had a number of tea/coffee/drink stains in various places around the room. There were water runs and splashes on the painted surface of the toilet area which needed to be washed off. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were folded in half which caused a permanent ridge. The information about the room indicated a Bathroom and Shower but we did not have a bath only a shower - we therefore thought we had been given the wrong room.

Absolutely amazing the hotels entrance is beautiful immaculate and so clean we were on the 4th floor and the lifts were easy to access. They accommodated me and my family very well I had asked for some milk for the children and it was never a problem. The breakfast is amazing you can even take drinks away as they have a drinks machine with cups. They have such a huge varied range of breakfast. The room was outstanding what's even better is the shower gel they provide is a brand called rituals and I was shocked to see that as I feel it's a luxouries item to use. I will definitely be coming back next year I may even stay for 2 nights as there is so much to see. I cannot fault the hotel at all. Worth the money really enjoyable.

Maybe just the parking was a nightmare.

The staff were lovely. Communal areas clean and well kept. The room was great, lovely and clean, spacious and a good modern shower room with fancy LCD glass and a lovely shower. The welcome drinks were really appreciated and the brekfast offering was great. My only complaints were that the room was too hot and the temperature control didn't do too much, although we were able to open the window. We travelled with our dog, who was well accomodated. The route tot he hotel by car was a little tricky but we got there and the on-site electric car charging was faultless (I had downloaded the Charge Assist app prior to the visit) and the cheapest we had experienced on our trip.

The hot temperature of our room (not even the height of summer), though we were able to open the window, which cooled the room down eventually. The tricky access to the hotel and very tight access to the carpark - nothing insurmountable and it can't also be easily changed!

The stay exceeded expectations. I booked based on reviews but it was better than l hoped. The location was excellent- right near the station. The room was ready early and facilities were excellent. The Bed was comfortable and the room was so quiet and peaceful. The aircon and fridge were great bonuses. The staff put balloons, a banner and card in for my daughter's birthday. The staff were very helpful and friendly- especially reception and the lovely chef at breakfast. It was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had- the choice was amazing, it was all so fresh and abundant. Even right before they stopped serving they were bringing out excellent produce. My teen daughter said it was the best hotel she's ever stayed in! I know some people complain about the toilet being separate, but we found it more convenient. They stored our luggage prior to our train, which was so helpful. (However- I was pleased not to be staying above the rooms whilst collecting the luggage as the noise from the bottomless brunches was incredible. Didn't affect us though). I'd highly recommend the hotel and would love to return.

There was only 1 biscuit between 2 of us which was a little strange- not an issue though. More milk would've been helpful- but my daughter uses a lot!

Fast and friendly check-in. Perfect location for the train station and all the city center has to offer. Nespresso machine in the room, also iron/ironing board, fridge and safe deposit box Nice bar on site comfortable and reasonably priced Breakfast was nice with plenty of choice, served 7-11am

A quite noticeable amount of dust on the wall/ ceiling above the fridge/coffee machine ( would've been a 10 if not for this) The sausage and bacon was only just cooked, could've done with a few more laps around the hotplate. Perfectly edible, just my personal taste
