Ideally located, the property stands opposite Leeds Train Station and is a short walk from the city centre. As a participant in the International Medieval Congress, I found the daily walk to the campus quite manageable. Our top-floor room provided breathtaking views. The breakfast selection was extensive and varied.

However, the shower's water pressure was disappointingly weak. Having longer hair, I struggled to wash out the shampoo completely. Also, I couldn't for the life of me work out how to get the water temperature right in the washbasin since there were two taps (one for hot and the other for cold water).

The location within a few minutes of the railway station is great - makes it easy to go on day trips or catch taxis. The hotel has a lift, no trudging up and down stairs. My room was large, with a large bathroom that had a deep tub for soaking. The room was well-lighted and the bed comfortable. It had a desk and chair, handy for working at. The continental breakfast included ham, cheese, salami, and a latte machine. Friendly and informative staff.

It would have been useful to have instructions posted in the bathroom for how to make the shower turn on and how to flush the toilet (put the lid down before pressing the handle all the way - you can't do that with the seat up). Otherwise, no complaints.

I liked the cleanliness of the room. I liked the receptionist, as he was a very kind man. ;-) I liked the location of this hotel. I mainly liked that it is near the shopping area, close to the train station and near the bus station from which I travelled straight to the coast.

Maybe I didn't like the soap refills a little. A bit outdated for me, and I think ;-) if I may :-) that nowadays, when there are so many different, very beautiful and new products in stores, it seemed to me that this could actually be more variable in this accommodation facility. Otherwise, I really liked everything and I have absolutely no tick off for them, I was very satisfied in this accomodation facility.

Lots of restaurants, shops and cultural venues within walking distance. Access to trains and buses within a 5 minute walk and within a 10 minute walk to buses across the England. Although the room was cosy in size it was very comfortable and provided everything needed in the way of essentials. The bathroom had a high warm shower, and shelves on which to place toiletries. The hotel was ecologically inclined regarding recyclable paper, etc., and changing linens only when needed. There is an elevator to the first few floors.

Although not critical, drinking glasses were absent, so we drank wine from the coffee mugs. Hardly a big issue!!!

Excellent location near the train station, easy to find, helpful staff and very welcoming. Basic but clean and comfortable. I didn’t have breakfast so cannot say what this was like. Room was larger than expected for the price. Good water pressure for the shower. Would book this hotel again for a reasonably priced night in Leeds.

Found the room to be too hot and struggled to sleep as a result however I was able to borrow a fan from reception which helped. It was quite noisy from restaurants, trains and people in the surrounding area with windows open however this was expected given the central location.

Room was very good, I have stayed before and although I usually go on price, I do like the D I , location for Briggate bars and gay village and town centre, staff are great and non judgemental, cleaning staff very helpful gave me some spare towels and let me change the bin, I did not need a full turn down.

I noticed this time you needed ID to book in, that is new The single twin beds could be bigger (I am only 5 9 but the width could be bigger if you ever re order beds. Car park arrangement very useful, saves a bit of cash and once I had grappled with the on line pre book it was not that bad. The only quibble with q park is that you need a qr code to get in the door now, which is a bind but it worked. I do not like carrying a phone around with me.

The location. Was absolutely spot on ..directly opposite the train station, right in the mix of shops and 12 min walk from leeds direct arena ..I was a little apprehensive as the price was fabulous..but I couldn't be happier ..yes it's not the most modern of places , but its spotlessly clean , amazing location , great staff and the continental breakfast was perfect ..I absolutely cannot fault this place ..if you just want a stop over I cannot recommend enough ..the negative comments do not take into account what you pay ..its clean .the beds are incredibly comfortable..location is perfect , breakfast spot on what more can you ask for ..will definitely stay again

For the price I have absolutely no negative comments ..

The location was very good and the staff were very friendly, we were upgraded to a bigger room which was nice, it was spacious and had everything you would need, it was also very clean and tidy. We would likely stay there again as the price was very cheap compared to other hotels in the area charging 3 times more.

Finding our room was a challenge, we were allocated room 332 on the third floor but when we got out of the lift all we could see were directions for rooms in the 700s we had to go back down to reception to get directions again. We eventually found our room on the second try.

I am a frequent visitor to Discovery Inn. As travel by train, I find the location, so close to the station extremely convenient. My one night stay was exeptionally good value for money. The rooms are always spotless and, whilst basic - as expected, given the price I pay - are completely adequate. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Being mistaken for the partner of the man who entered the hotel and checked in just before me. This meant that another guest tried to engage the reception staff in conversation before I ponted out that I was next in the queue.

Very good sized and spacious room and a nice bathroom too. Old style windows meant we could hear noise from outside and there were building works going on so we were woken early by the JCB right outside our window but it was still ok. Nice to have bottled water in the room but the heating was on so the water was warm, Hotel was nice and warm and comfortable. The only negative comment was we could smell weed from reception right up to our room which the staff attributed to the tradespeople but this was there all hours of the day and night and the towels were so small we had to use 2 after a shower.

Nothing, we would stay here again and midweek prices are very reasonable.
