A lovely welcome. Fantastic room, plenty space for dog crate, great sea view. Bed very comfortable, super large TV. Wonderful selection at breakfast. Plenty teas, chocolates and coffees freely available to serve ourselves at any time. Tasty evening meals available by arrangement. Our car broke down and was recovered to a distant town for three days. Owner Pete offered us the use of his second car, what a generous offer, but we declined and enjoyed finding daily walks directly from the hotel, including a visit to Mull on the nearby ferry. Very dog friendly.

There was nothing to dislike.

Made to feel welcome, especially as we had two dogs. Great location for the holiday and places we were looking for. Hosts were great at providing information prior to the stay. Lovely that tea and coffee were provided in the room, and that there was a little stand outside the rooms with extra which meant you felt that you could just get more when needed and not pester staff or find shops to get more. There was more selections of teas and coffees left in the breakfast area, which could be accessed if you wished. Beds were comfy and rooms were warm and clean.

Not knowing what the cooked breakfast options were, perhaps some information about what could be provided would be helpful. Menu on table or a preorder form in the room the night before.

Absolutely superb Hotel. The owners have spent so much time and energy making a unforgettable experience when you visit. So many lovely touches to the rooms, down to collector design cups for your morning coffee. Nothing was too much trouble.... we ate in the hotel... dinner made especially for us at a time that was convenient... We both loved staying here and will be back if our travels bring us even remotely close.... Oh, this one is remote... if you want a real experience of Scotland's wild beauty the road here will deliver that in spades.... The outward apperance is of a village home... the interior is set up to make your stay more than memorable.

Cannot find fault.... we will be back given half a chance.

The breakfast was cooked to order to accommodate dietary requirements, no easy task in a remote location where ingredients are not easily obtained. The room was thoughtfully and comfortably appointed with an excellent view, complete with an otter swimming in the bay. The owners were friendly and their local knowledge was invaluable.

It is clear that work remains to be done on external maintenance of the building and the car park but this will come. The new owners have rightly prioritised refurbishing the rooms for the comfort of their guests.

ignore any review older than two years. The new owners are doing a great job! We only met Shaley but she was delightful and made us feel very welcome. The outside of the building looked a bit tired but I'm sure thats because the owners are concentrating, in their first few years, ensuring the rooms are up to scratch. Our room was really lovely. Well appointed, fresh, clean and with an amazing view across to Mull. In the evening we had a really well made and tasty pizza [there did seem to be other dishes on offer but that was never made very clear, maybe a tip for the future?]. All in all a fabulous stay. Shaley and Peter deserve to do well and Im sure they will!!

WONDERFUL LOCATION, RIGHT ON THE LOCH AND LITERALLY 60 SECOND DRIVE TO THE ISLE OF MULL FERRY. HOTEL WAS LOVELY, ROOM SPACIOUS WITH GREAT ENSUITE AND HAD A FAB NESPRESSO COFFEE MACHINE, SO IT WAS LIKE BEING AT HOME.. FOOD CHOICE AT BREAKFAST WAS GREAT, BOTH COLD AND HOT FOODS. HOT FOOD MADE TO ORDER AND BEAUTIFULLY COOKED. NOT IMPORTANT, BUT IT IS TO MANY...THERE IS EXCELLENT WIFI IN THE HOTEL. SHALEY AND PETE ARE GREAT HOSTS AND VERY HOSPITABLE. CAN'T DO ENOUGH FOR THEIR GUESTS.

Nothing.

It’s a lovely little place. Really friendly owners so accommodating. There’s no bar I’m afraid and they do have a breakfast menu. The owner will cook you a pre ordered evening meal if you have a word with her when you check in. Seaview room has a great view. The rooms are clean and comfortable lovely big TV also and tea and coffees available. There is a restaurant in the village but it is a set menu on an evening and particularly expensive. There’s a snack bar and shop near the ferry terminal. Little snack bar does the best tiffin.

Absolutely everything!!!!! Beautiful hotel, wonderful plush decor, lovely energy, spectacular views, amazing coffee machine and most of all, Shaley & Peter are the most wonderful, warm hearted, fun hosts who just make you feel like family. Cannot wait to go back! Particularly liked the fact we had our own private ( very luxurious) bathroom which was separate from the room, so a bit more privacy from the other person hearing everything. So many thoughtful little details added everywhere.

That we weren’t there longer!

Beautiful location for a birdwatching holiday. Friendly, homely atmosphere with guests from home and abroad. Peter and Shaley made everyone feel welcome. Comfortable room with newly re- furbished facilities. Excellent breakfast choices with an evening meal provided as extra if requested. Easy access to Mull ferry Excellent base for exploring Morvern and Ardnamurchan as well as the Iske of Mull. We plan to return as soon as we can.

Nothing comes to mind.

Lovely room with a splendid view of the bay and Mull. Excellent service, we had a tour of local wildlife, with the very knowledgeable owner of the hotel and we were able to see red squirrels and otters without causing them any distress or even noticing us at all. There are various options for cooked breakfast (many local meats options, but sorry we are vegetarians and we cannot vouch for them) we especially liked the winter berries compote to mix with muesli and yoghurt, the excellent coffee and baked goods. We had pizza in the evening and there is also a gluten-free option and excellent wine.

...the weather was not great on our second day, but it was January so, not unexpected, we enjoyed painting the ever-changing landscape from our room.
