Absolutely beautiful! We stayed in the North Suite which was set up like a one bedroom home with a full kitchen and living area. Each morning I looked forward to the view of the courtyard from the sofa as I sipped coffee. There is a small private patio in the back. Every morning fresh pastries were delivered to the front door. Lots of small touches to ensure a great experience. This suite came with an on-site parking spot. Located two blocks off the plaza within walking distance to restaurants, tasting rooms and local shops.

Numerous small details such as very friendly staff with tips, gorgeous courtyards, 8am daily delivery of delicious local pastries outside our door, hand steamer, heat lamp outside the shower, comfortable bed, dimming lights, jetted bath, fireplace, semi-private patio with lounge chairs, etc. The location is just a 5-minute walk to Sonoma Square with parks, numerous restaurants, shops, historic buildings, etc.. We will return!

We have so few complaints. To pacify the ask, I would say having separate remotes and settings for the AC, heater, and ceiling fan was odd.

Everything was great except the a woman working at the front desk who was rude to us each time we encountered her. We asked if the water dispenser could be refilled — she behaved like this was a bother and complained about it being so heavy and that “she’d try her best.” The second time was at checkout; she complained again that she didn’t know whether we had checked out, when one of us went to her office and she wasn’t there. To which she responded “I was doing other things.” Okay? At every other place in Sonoma and from the other employees at Cottage Inn, we only had pleasant interactions. Please be aware that this person is negatively impacting your otherwise very nice business.

We were very pleasantly pleased with our suite. The size was plentiful and the ability to use the available accesses was very desirable. The lighting was excellent and I loved “swimming “ in my pool I.e.bathtub! The proximity to the downtown area was amazing.

The lack of TV was disappointing. We found out after being there for 2 of the 3 days that we could use a tv that was brought in but nobody told us until it was too late. The heating system was less than ideal although it did work but was noisy.

the room was lovely and bright. Would be lovely with the doors open in better weather. The morning pastries delivered to room were great to enjoy with fresh brew coffee in room. The fireplace was not working which they apologise for and left bottle of bubbles and chocolate strawberries to say sorry. They did try to fix and room heater worked so not an issue. Great location off the main square so easy to walk to restaurants and shops but in a quiet location.

Our room was not cleaned during our stay but not sure if we needed to ask/leave notice on door.

The Cottage Inn and Spa is lovely and perfectly located just a block away from Sonoma Square. It’s in a quiet neighborhood close to the bike/walking path. The Inn is clean and comfortable, and the staff is very welcoming and great at making suggestions about things to do. I stayed in the Alta Suite, which is beautiful and comfortable. They leave breakfast at your door every morning. I would highly recommend for a long weekend and will definitely return. Thank you for a great stay.

The location was great - very walkable. The space was nice. I love that our unit had a private outdoor area and kitchen. The pastries delivered in the morning is also a nice touch.

I wish that there was a tub instead of a shower. The front desk person was not very welcoming and she deactivated our room code before checkout time which made it challenging to load out.

Amazing property, so beautiful and calming by the fountain. The staff was so helpful in giving recommendations and making it a comfortable stay. The room was gorgeous and clean, much larger than expected. Daily pastries were delicious and warm! Highly recommend.

The common sitting area by the fire was really nice. Our group was able to meet before dinner and have a few glasses of wine and unwind after our trip up to Sonoma. Fireplace in or suite was great!

The heater in our bedroom (North) suite did not work very well and there was no heat in the bathroom. Heat in the sitting area worked fine.

The breakfast delivery was great. They were very kind in offering a gluten free alternative.

Neither of us could figure out how to turn off the jet in the tub. It got stuck when I turned it on. It took a few attempts from us both but it eventually was able to be turned off.
