Excellent location, gracious building, lift up to first floor hotel, well-managed and cared-for hotel,, permanently staffed reception, courteous, friendly, kind proprietors, pleasant breakfast room, good Italian breakfast included (fresh croissant, decent coffee, rolls, jam, juice..), soft towels, comfy bed, good bed linen and that as much as was feasible had been cleverly fitted into my room (so although wc was external/shared as expected the room had a basin, mirror and very good shower cubicle, one inside the other - genius!)

Nothing. I prefer a private bathroom but it was only the loo(s) I had to share, in fact, and they were both exceptionally clean (and odourless also.)

Perfect position just a few minutes to Santa Maria Cathedral/Duomo. I could see part of the Bell Tower from my room, so close. Train station & attractions also very close, restaurants & shops at the door. Great having a breakfast provided (crossiant & breads with jam, nuttella, juice, and a coffee/hot chocolate machine). I had a single room with shower & sink, toilet was shared but wasn't a problem. Room cleaned daily. Staff nice. Great Base & Place in Florence. Thank you😊

It would be lovely to have a fridge to keep food & drinks cold, especially as temperatures were very high when I was there and need to keep hydrated. Buy a cold drink & very soon it's warm. It's too expensive to eat out daily. Also a kettle or access to the machine outside breakfasts hours would be good. There is a spiral staircase up to more rooms (above reception) which may be a problem for elderly or larger people and when carrying luggage.

This was the perfection location for a weekend in Florence, all the main attractions and places I wanted to visit were within a 10 minute walk (including the train station). The staff were very lovely. The breakfast was simple sweets but good to fill up on before heading out for the days.

I did see when I booked that it was a shared bathroom, there is only one toilet so had to wait for it to be free a few times but it wasn't too much of an issue. For the weekend I was there, there was a smoky smell when walking in, but it wasn't in the room so it wasn't too bad.

Breakfast was pastry’s with jam/butter/nutella, and a free coffee push button machine. Easy walk from the train station. All staff were pleasant and kind, quick to share a laugh with their guests :) they held on to our bags as we left later in the evening, and during our stay gave us plastic cups when we asked.

The instruction to access the hotel could have been better! When we asked if there was anything we needed to know to find them they said “no” but in reality, you enter the building, enter the second gated part of the building which holds access to the elevator. From there you have the option to take the elevator up “one floor”. Upon exiting the elevator, turn and walk up two flights of stairs which will take you to hotel aldobrandini (which is clearly labeled atop of the door). Or you can choose to not use the elevator, and just keep walking up the steps until you see the hotel sign!

I like the architecture and the location as well as the stuff, the room was basic but that’s all I needed for a one night stay. Also loved the breakfast and the view from the window

Mostly and I’ll be honest, I went to my room and the bathroom toilet seat was damaged, I didn’t say anything I removed it and used it without and the morning after I forgot or better I just thought they left it there like that so I didn’t say anything when I came back to take the luggage the owner asked me why I didn’t say anything and I was like “it was already like that” and he was insisting that he was going to pay but he wanted me to be honest and I was like “ok?”😅

Location is fantastic: not far from both Firenze Santa Maria Novella (railway station) and Piazza del Duomo. Breakfast is good: coffee/water/juice and snacks. I stayed in a room with a shower inside the room and a shared toilet; everything was clean. The photo of the room is taken when I left the room, so don't worry: the bed will be neatly made 😊 What is also important — the hotel is located inside an old building with thick walls, so I even did not use the air conditioner, because the temperature inside the room was comfortable despite the hot weather outside.

The location is just perfect. Close to the train station and close to the Duomo. The staff is so friendly and they are 24h open. As it is in the centre, you have everything you need around, good restaurants, ostetie, trattorie... It is calm so there was absolutely no problem sleeping, it is not in a crowded street.

Not really important but not every day we got shower gel/shampoo and breakfast is a croissant and a milk bread with Nutella and jam, a glass of orange juice and coffe from an electric machine. We missed some fruit or a couple of pieces of cheese/salame. It is fine but don't expect the breakfast of your life.

Fantastic location. Very close to restaurants, main sight seeing spots and train station, bus station etc. All walking distance. The staff were very helpful and there is a little convenience store downstairs that sells adapters etc for only 1 euro if you need any ! :) The room was small and basic, but it was all I needed and very good value for money. I had the breakfast one morning, as the other mornings I was away earlier than breakfast starting and again, it was basic but very good to get something to start your day. Beautiful cups of tea and toast and mini croissants. Lovely stay Allround :)

the staff were amazing! So welcoming and friendly, provided us with a little map when we arrived, and pointed out the tourist spots, the location was perfect, less than 10 minute walk to duomo, and centrale market, and a great little street over the road full of shops, restaurants, pubs the breakfast was great, English breakfast tea, coffee, croissant, bread rolls, jam butter and juice the rooms where pretty basic, old style and a very small bathroom, but honestly nothing to complain about, the building itself was very historic, with big old wooden doors to enter, also was around 9 minutes walk from train station to hotel, and 3 minute walk to tram stop to head back to airport (1 euro 50 each)

Hotel Aldobrandini is a 1 star hotel. For the same price as a bed in a hostel the night before I had a single room with basin and shower in the room. The shared toilet was down the hall as advertised. It is 5 minutes from the station, the duomo and medici chapel as well as plenty of restaurants. A no frills, clean hotel and I would stay again. There is a small terrace as well. The staff kept the coffee machine past breakfast for me and I left my luggage for the afternoon.
