Off-season prices are pretty decent everywhere in Santa Cruz but the Comfort Inn included a heated pool, hot tub, continental breakfast also an incredible staff and top-notch cleanliness, it was so impressive. When you stay somewhere like a Comfort Inn, budget matters and this trip felt so doable because the prices were so fair. In all honesty a little better than fair when you add up things like the heated pool, hot-tub and breakfast.

When we got there I didn't like the size of our room because it didn't match the picture online. Apparently, I booked the handicap-accessible room by accident. Though they did admit the photos are older and don't always match the description. Note to self read more rather than trusting pictures. The bathroom was half the size of the room meaning less room space for my family of five. They quickly and kindly rectified my mistake at no extra cost and our room ended up being way better than expected. The skylight in the bathroom was so beautiful under the almost full moon when I took a bath.

The room was clean and spacious. The location was perfect.

The room had blackout curtains that were only on the sides of the window. you could not block out the light . I had to use a blanket (I luckily had in my car) to drape over the window to make the room dark enough to sleep. I'm not quite sure why you would take great blackout curtains and cut them so they couldn't be pulled all the way across the window? Makes no sense. Everything else was great.

Comfortable room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. Air conditioning, plenty of power sockets (including USB charge station), and good free wifi. Beds are comfortable. Shower is decent. Standard of cleanliness is very good. Breakfast was nice and the hotel was quiet, despite being on a main street. Lots of parking, which seems reasonably secure. Within easy walking distance of downtown Santa Cruz. We also walked to the beach and boardwalk, which is a couple of miles from the hotel.

I would have welcomed some additional hot food items at breakfast - eggs maybe? For the price paid, there really is nothing to complain about.

Got in late and parked in the back of the lot due to our vehicle size. As we were unloading some items, we were approached by one of the managers who said that he was just checking to make certain we were guests and not someone with I'll intentions. I appreciate that he went out of his way to be vigilant in protecting the guests vehicles.

I didn't like the fact that I only had 1 evening there but I look forward to a longer stay next time!

The room was good quieter then I expected. Breakfast in the morning was ok.Waffles are good and some snack supplies also . Staff was very friendly and helpful

There was a problem with the jacuzzi tub. They did give a generous discount since I actually showed them what the problem was. The sausage at breakfast taste like fake sausage or vegetarian sausage.

Nice affordable place to stay in Santa Cruz. Nice clean rooms, the staff was awesome. I was surprisingly happy with the free breakfast. Plenty of options and staff was on top of keeping things stocked and the food and dining area clean. Nice pool and hot tub as well. It's a good deal for the price.

No elevator, I had to take the luggages to 2nd floor 😞

I spoke in person or one the phone with four different staff members. All were kind and quick, and it made a huge difference with managing some logistics during (and even after) our stay.

The image being used to promote the hotel is of a view that, as far as I could see onsite, does not exist. It may be AI generated or some crafty photo shopping.

The room was very comfortable and spacious the staff was gracious and very accommodating!

Our bathroom had a motion sensor light that was very finicky. You couldnt finish your shower without having to stop and reactivate it. Also even after we closed the door the light would randomly turn on. Not sure what it was about but it was just a minor inconvenience during an otherwise very pleasant stay!

Complimentary breakfast (average) Swift check-in/out Amenities looked promising but it was cold and rainy so we didn’t get to utilize as much. Nearby many restaurants/shops, 10 min drive to boardwalk

Shower tub filled up each shower. Surrounding area is a little sketchy, right by the highway. Neighbors were loud outside sometimes.

Room was clean and property was pretty quiet. Our room had a nice balcony area as well. Great value. Would stay here again.

Parking was a little difficult. Spaces were tight and larger cars took up two spots, so parking was somewhat of a challenge if you returned to the hotel late in the evening.
