Staff was very helpful when we could not check in because Bookings.com reservation was not showing up at the hotel. Hotel staff could not find our reservation in their system. We tried for over an hour. And ended up having to use an alternate payment to get a room.

The fact that we still had to wait to have Bookings.com try to figure out why the hotel was not receiving their emails. And that we still had to pay. Although I had already paid through bookings.com.

The room was spacious and had a ‘blackout’ blind - perfect for making sleeping very peaceful. The facilities inside the room were excellent. The breakfast was very nice.

(1) The distribution of temperature throughout the room wasn’t ideal - possibly an issue with the AC. (2) The car parking process needs to be streamlined - the last thing you want as a tired traveller is to check-in and then have to return to your car to put the parking pass on the dashboard!

The check-in person gave us a room near the elevator when he heard I was injured. The breakfast was a good variety and had all I needed or wanted (except cranberry juice). The room was a nice size and I had plenty of room to get around in my rollator.

Turned out the area wasn't too great. When my adult kids went out to try to get a snack, they were nervous about going into any place. Also, the bathtub plug didn't work correctly and was frustrating. I was sad there was no hot tub.

Interacted with various staff- Sophie, Sacha, Nate. All incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Good breakfast and very clean rooms. Convenient location.

Some elements are outdated, and the elevator door had a hard time opening. This is not the hotel’s fault, but the nearby area also seemed to lead to some more sketchy characters around, but the hotel premises itself felt safe and comfortable.

It was easily accessible to freeway, and within minutes to boardwalk. This allowed us to see both the Winchester House, and Santa Cruz boardwalk on a short trip. Also really great continental breakfast, I especially enjoyed the ice cold cranberry juice.

The only little hiccup was waking in morning to find ants on the desk area. I mentioned them to desk when we checked out so someone would be aware before next guest checks in. The girl didn't seem phased by my mention of ants. I took a picture of them

The staff had exceptional customer service. The hotel itself was very clean ; beautiful sight to see. The fluffy cloud of a bed and spacious room really made me feel at home.

My room was in the worst corner it could’ve been in. It was right next to the House Keeping closet and Ice machine. There was a constant buzzing all night and the walls shook from the washing machine that must’ve been nearby. The Wi-Fi and cell service where almost non existent.

Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and cheery.

The breakfast was disappointing. Scrambled eggs had ham and cheese in it, not good for people who don't eat cheese or meat. No hard boiled eggs, no cut up fruit, just whole oranges and apples. Waffle maker barely cooked the waffles and they were not done. No almond milk or non dairy alternate types of creamer. Only one pitcher of 2% milk.

Check-in was awesome - Jordan is AMAZING! Jordan and the heated indoor pool are the 2 reasons we will RETURN! The entire property is very clean - my kind of CLEAN! The rooms are as shown in the pictures & were ready before check-in - always a PLUS!

Wi-fi is a little slow

Location was good, liked the Denny’s next door, easy access to/from vehicle, quiet, and room was basic but had a comfortable stay.

There were some suspicious characters around the neighborhood but not to an exceeding amount. Felt safe the majority of the time.

Waffle machine for breakfast.

Small parking lot surrounded by roaming homeless crowds, drug dealers, prostitutes and other criminals. My family with pregnant wife and 3 y.o. child was assaulted the first night we have arrived there. Had to call the police and file a report. Stay away from Santa Cruz. It's a condemned place.
