The Hotel is a brand new one, contemporary internal design masterpiece, located right within the central Rail station complex and linked with multi storey shopping mall, with large food hall spreading over an entire top floor, great Sushi bar, we had our dinner there, the bus station is right in front of the hotel where you can take pre-booked daily scheduled bus to Takachiho Gourge. The reception having full height window showing an amazing view of the mountain, with mixed contemprory Japanese interials, the room was amazing and the staff where so dedicated to provide help, one of the reception staff helped us calling a Taxi to Takachiho, when we booked wrong date for the bus. We wish that we spend more than one night in the hotel, will go back again

Parking can be onsite (underground in AMU Plaza) but the Y1k/night rate is based on not taking the car out at all during the stay, else each entry/exit will cost Y1K. If taking the car out, parking will be at adjacent train/parking lot building, near but not as convenient as the hotel’s underground parking. Given that, we chose to just park at an outdoor public carpark opposite (just across a small road)that charged a cheaper rate.

This was the most gorgeous and incredible hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying in! I booked this for a trip with my parents and we didn't want to leave. The beautiful hospitality, rooftop views, onsen, spacious (stunningly decorated) rooms, being adjoined with AMU Plaza, and the incredible views of rolling green hills coupled with being next to the JR station, made a stay that truly exceeded our wildest expectations. Every single staff member was so lovely, hospitable, and truly helped us so much throughout our stay - whether it was answering questions, helping us forward our luggage onwards (big thank you to Honda-san for this!), or recommending places to eat. Truly felt like a 5-⭐️ hotel with exceptional service and the most incredible stay in Kumamoto. 10/10 recommend for centrality, especially being connected to AMU Plaza shopping centre (with lots of restaurants), and the JR station being directly downstairs - so convenient. We'll absolutely be back!

The Blossom Kumamoto is the 3rd JRK property I've stayed at. The front desk is set in front of a beautiful landscape backdrop - it's a very special touch. I wanted to give a special mention to the service staff here - they are all extremely polite, warm and welcoming whenever we bumped into them. Thank you all very much. Parking is extremely convenient - you just have to find the entrance to the basement carpark which has a direct lift to the hotel front desk. Location is superb, it's above AMU Plaza which has good dining and retail options and is right next to the JR station.

Not sure if it's just isolated to my room, but the shower water temperature was not consistent on more than one occasion. Would have been fine if it was summer but it does get chilly in winter.

This is my second time returning to this hotel. Location: Love it, just around the corner of Kumamoto station. Environment: lots of restaurants and shopping in the vicinity Transportation: There are car rentals; buses, Trams, trains. Make your pick. Facilities: there is public bath (men and women separated); free nespresso coffee outside the bath area. Bed: too soft for my liking but still not too bad Bathroom: Clean and neat.. shower pressure was great Breakfast: Japanese style, mix of western. Great selection. There is connecting lift to the shopping mall. Always happy to be back when i am in Kumamoto. Love the convenient.

Exceptional service by staff, clean and contemporary room and public facilities. The hotel is located adjoining the railway station. We took a day trip to Mount Aso by train, so it was very convenient to the station and adjacent shops. Tram close by is convenient for the castle. The large bath is very nice.

We stayed 3 nights, and there was little difference in breakfast offerings each morning. The hotel deserves its 4 star rating. We had exceptionally high expectations after a stay at The Blossom Hibiya, and felt this hotel fell a little short comparatively in breakfast offerings.

A nice accommodation located in a shopping mall offers great convenience for guests who enjoy shopping and dining just steps away from their rooms. The location is ideal for both leisure and business travelers, providing easy access to various facilities and entertainment options within the mall. However, the parking situation can be a bit confusing, as there are two parking options. If you park at P1, you’ll need to switch elevators three times to reach the hotel. Alternatively, parking at the hotel building allows you to use a direct elevator to access the hotel floor. The parking fee is 1,000 yen per night. Informing the hotel about your parking choice will help them adjust the fee from 1,200 yen to 1,000 yen, ensuring a slight discount. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the essential amenities to ensure a pleasant stay. A notable feature is the separate male and female public baths located on the 9th floor, providing a relaxing experience for guests after a long day. The baths are well-maintained and offer a traditional touch, making them a great way to unwind. The hotel staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any inquiries or needs, adding to the overall positive experience.

Room size larger than expected. Shower space is cleverly designed though we hardly used it as we went to the magnificent communal bath mostly. Water temperature of onsen was perfect & the ladies’ bath is huge (could easily fit 30). The surrounds of the lobby was one of the most tranquil I’ve seen & lobby staff were consistently attentive. Congratulations to the designers & hotel staff.

It was challenging to find the hotel entrance. Even after exiting from the lobby the first time, I strayed into wrong passages/doorways. But it’s all part of discovering a new place i guess. On the flip side, it makes this a highly secure hotel!

The location is great. Its just above Kumamoto station. Welcomed by the awesome view at the lobby. Staff very friendly and hospitable! Love the public pool where you can take a good rest after long walks. Love their coffee machine Clean and Spacious room with Japanese style interior Design Washing Machine have live updates. Public Pools have crowd updates Tbh its very value for money.

Nothing abt the property. rather some tourist hog the washing machine by not picking up their laundry on time. had to call for the staff to help clear their laundry so people can use

the hillside scenery from the king corner room was spectacular. the staff were efficient and professional, it was a breeze communicating with them as they spoke English. the self-service luggage storage area was innovative, and easy to use. and I especially like the flower decorations in the lobby, it was beautiful and really brightened up the spaces. finally the location was super convenient as it was next to the Kumamoto station and the mall, and just a 1min walk to the Kumamoto tram stop.

the toilet door could be swinging out instead of swinging in, as the space in the toilet was very narrow. however, this might just be due to the layout of the king corner room. also, one side of the room windows was in front of the rooftop area and I could not view the scenery from that side of the window, which was a waste as I booked a king corner room.
