The hostal was located in a really convenient location to the Gothic Quarter. Everything was easy to navigate and walk to and felt very safe. My room was very quiet and had everything I needed and I appreciated having a shower in the room.

There's a rusty exposed nail or screw that is sticking out of the ground beside the tub. I appreciate the convenience of the key system, but being able to grab anyone's room key when you come in made me feel a little uncomfortable. Nothing happened, but I worried about the risk of someone seeing which room I stayed in and being able to just take the key and get access to my room.

Excellent location. Very clean. Comfy bed. Strong air-con. Water in shower heats up quickly and with high pressure. They also provide hair dryer, shampoo and shower gel. A fridge in the common area for everybody to use.

It gets a little bit noisy in the morning due to traffic as this place located on the big street. I am ok with it considering convenience and safety. Minor problem: Water comes out from the bath tub easily because it’s quite small and low. Got to be careful stepping out.

Place was absolutely amazing. We had family unit with 3 balconies, kitchen and 1 separate bedroom. First of all- location is perfect, everything is here affordable grocery store, parks, transportation and walk to all landmarks under 1 hour- yes even to Guell park was like 45 minutes for us, national museum of Catalonia- 30sh minutes, beach about 10 minutes. Place itself has a lot of charm especially ceramic ceilings with exposed beams and antique windows with shatters. Beds were comfy, large and nice pillows, large shower and metal door lol. Stove with oven- yes you can have your pizza there or whatever you want.

I like everything about that place consider advantages

This place is right across from the big train station, Estación de Francia. It was nice to roll right in after taking the train in from the airport. The room was very small but clean, and we had our own bathroom and a tiny balcony. The rooms are cleaned everyday which was really nice. There is a shared living room with a fridge, vending machine, coffee machine and kettle. But if you want to have coffee you need to buy pods in the vending machine and they’re quite expensive. There’s no sink in the main area near the kettle, so you need to go to the bathroom a bit down the hall to fill it up. Also there are only paper cups (though the rooms have glass cups provided). The toilet in our room was also a bit fussy about flushing. Also it was definitely noisy at night since we were right on a huge street in front of the station. We did use the metro quite a bit as we didn’t really want to explore that immediate area. On our way out we stopped by a neighbouring cafe called Lulu & Flynn - though a tad expensive it was a really good coffee and breakfast sandwich - definitely a good nearby option!

- en suite toilet were sluggish - kitchen not designed for DIY coffee - security seemed a little bit lax for those who are particular about that sort of thing, but it didn't bother us much, ( ie your labelled room key is stored at the front desk)

The location was perfect for getting to the beach front ( 20 mins walk) and the historic quarter was right behind us with all the quaint little alleys. There is a tremendous park and also a zoo right at the end of the road. Plenty of places to eat and drink in short walking distance. The staff at the hostel were very accommodating and friendly ( 24 hr reception). Lovely communal lounge area with fridge, microwave and kettle.

No facility to be able to wash dishes. No cooking facilities other than the microwave. A kettle in the room would be great but perhaps not enough room. The place could be noisy at times but generally quiet.

The location was amazing! Close to the beach, harbour and Gothic Quarter and very close to public transport for everything else. The staff were so friendly, and were available to help whenever needed. The daily room cleaning service was also fabulous.

The WiFi didn’t work too well in our room because we were a little further away, and we didn’t particularly like having to leave our key in the cupboard when we left for the day. We would have preferred to take the key with us for security purposes.

The staff were so kind and helpful. I get like a first class traveler. They answered any questions and were very hospitable. The decor is sweet and somewhat elegant for a “Hostel”. location is awesome. fabulous grocery store right next door and a lot of bars/food working steps. location is perfect for any parts of the city!

my only complaint is they have these big clunky keys- which is wonderful I didn’t need to carry but the bed is right by the door and every person entering their rooms literally sounded like they were coming into my room! the door has a lock only with the key- so I woke often when neighbors entered and left their rooms. I should have flipped around and maybe not having my head right next to the door would have made it less disruptive. Maybe add a second door lock and consider changing the charging station and head of the bed. Also- the shower head holder is broken in my shared bathroom- so you have to hand hold to shower. I forgot to tell the staff.

This was a very clean hotel, serviced very well throughout our stay. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The location was great, with cafés, bars and supermarkets very close by. A lovely building and a great little balcony. It was a a 10-15 minute walk to the beach and within easy reach of the metro, which we used to get around to do our sightseeing.

The step as you walked in the room! The room was dark as you stepped in and you couldn't see the edge. Stumbled down it a couple of times. It needs mentioning by staff to warn you or a coloured strip along the edge to highlight it. There was a lot of noise from the street during the night. The shutters did not close properly, and if they had, it would have been quieter. It would have been great having another chair for the balcony as there was just the one in the room.

It was really sweet that my room was available right at the time when i arrived to hotel. The stuff was sweet and nice and explained well everything around. Was great to have a shower in my room and also nice little balcony with nice view. The room was bright and big enough (i do love when it's more space). Also i think the hotel located in perfect spot: 10 mins walk to the sea and the downtown just nearby as well. so you don't need really use so much of public transport as you can get everywhere by walk. I would return to this hotel again and I can recommend this place with confidence.

wow not a big deal, but the walls are thin, so you can hear every conversation which are going in "living room" and probably someone can hear you as well ... but it's still fine

Very centrally located. Train station (Estacion de Franca) just across the street, and Barceloneta Metro 5min walk. Restaurants, bars and supermarkets available in the area. Staff very helpful. Key given before check-in time as the room was ready Good room service, towels changed daily. Ac and tv available (however only local tv stations were available to watch). Bed done daily. Fridge, kettle and tea-bags available in each floor.

No lift available. No breakfast. No kitchenette area for those who prefer to prepare their own food. Coffee pods available but had to pay for them!!
