I love the hotel design- it feels elevated and comfortable. The staff have also been very kind and responsive in my experience. The beds are comfortable, the check-in/check-out process is super easy, and the lobby is a great place to hang out and get some work done. I've also been pleased with how quiet and peaceful the property is every time I've stayed here. Great location, too.

Parts of the room felt a bit worn and tired. There were some noticeable stains on the carpet and duvet, and a few spots of what looked like mold in the shower between the tiles. The hair dryer in the bathroom was also tired and the back kept popping off. Nothing beyond what I've seen in other hotel chains, but for a property of this caliber I'd expect a bit more attention to detail.

Since I was visiting my granddaughter whose room at Drexel was just a 5 minute walk away, it was an excellent location. The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable, and I really appreciated the task lighting. The sharpened, wooden pencils on the desk were a special touch for this aging near-Luddite.

I missed having a coffee maker in the room. One afternoon while out walking I was caught in the rain, and all the way back I was thinking of a ginger snap (so good) and a cup of tea, only to find that the complementary tea and coffee was only available in the morning. Also it was not there when I had to leave for the airport at 5am.

The location was ideal for us, as we were visiting family in West Philly but still wanted easy walkability to Penn campus and more touristy areas across the river. It feels modern, comfortable, clean, safe, stylish — and the “book” theme in the lobby was very cool. The rooms are pretty simple, but exactly what we needed. If you need to do remote work while traveling, this hotel is perfect for you — our room had a beautiful huge desk in front of the window, and the lobby has a lot of open study desks as well. Front desk service was very helpful, and we were able to get a late checkout one day. Would certainly stay here again!

I stayed there to recuperate from surgery at Penn hospital, and needed very specific dietary accommodations. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to accommodate me within the confines of their sourcing, and were extremely kind about it. Wonderful people, especially restaurant manager Silas and the fantastic head chef Janoi Reid. I also needed a very late check out and the GM Colleen Perez did me a huge favor by letting me check out at 3. This was hugely helpful given my medical circumstances so I really appreciate it.

The room was spacious, very clean, and the vibe was fantastic. Terrific view, lovely shower, and the location was great. There were food trucks parked right outside and it was a short walk to local coffee shops, a Barnes and Noble, and the subway station. On top of all that good stuff, the staff were friendly, informative, and made you feel at home. Definitely will be back!

The parking lot in the back of the hotel doesn't allow for overnight stays and the nearest garage was full every night. Definitely not a deal breaker, and we were able to find work arounds, but it should be noted that you should be prepared with a plan for parking and getting around the city.

This is a clean, spacious, and cozy place in University City, Philadelphia. It is within walking distance to many museums and the city center, right next to Drexel University and UPenn, with an accessible metro to the airport and other Philly locations. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, allowing us to check in early. The free coffee was excellent, and many excellent street food trucks were nearby. Just a short walk, on the way to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, there were some nice restaurants next to Drexel Park and N. 33rd St. It was a great place and an excellent location.

Loved the view of U-Penn and the surrounding area from my top floor room facing west. Room was well appointed and tasteful in decor. Was ideal for my zoom meetings and I l appreciate the contemplative space for reading the variety of books. Breakfast was tasty with choices. Located cheek by jowl with the University which made it the ideal choice for me. Staff was delightful and helpful.

The parking options which were a bit awkward if you were not using the valet option. The Drexel parking lot is complicated if you have luggage. The nearby parking lot was for daytime use.

Location was great just a bus ride from town 21 or 42 The staff were extremely helpful and friendly all the time can not fault them at all The rooms we had, and we came back three times in the 16 days, were all clean and spacious. Valet parking was very easy car arrived in no more that 20 minutes and the drivers were tremendous. I can’t say enough about our stays

It would benefit with coffee and tea in the room and also a fridge. After dinner you could not get a drink so maybe a little shop would be helpful like other hotels have

Always try to stay here when visiting Philly/University City area- Convenient location to both UPenn and Drexel- comfortable and overly spacious rooms! If you are traveling for work you have more than enough space to work and relax. Staff is wonderful and the place is so comfortable : rooms, lobby, bar and restaurant! Fitness space is also clean and filled with top notch equipment.

I do forget the rooms do not have refridgerators, and I love to have ice water. Bottle water is provided and the bar is more than accommodating when I asked for ice water to bring to my room. If you are someone who likes to have a coffee maker in room- they don't. The lobby tea/coffee is excellent however!

BIg big windows, very bright and clean. Right next to U Penn and drexel, enjoyed my walk every day very much. Also very close to SEPTA station. Bed was comfy and the walk-in shower was spacious and nice pressure.

Didn't realize there was not a mini fridge in my room. Not a big deal. Even with the blinds down it still was somewhat bright during day light. if you are looking for a dark dark room to sleep, might not be the best. Road can be somewhat noisy in the AM.
