The location is excellent. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. Wister and his colleagues at the reception were very helpful, friendly and professional. The restaurant was also very good.

The chairs at the small dining table were a bit flimsy.

This is an absolutely exceptional place. Prime location, the suite was in fact a large, fully equipped apartment with high ceilings in a beautiful historic building in a part of the city that has a London vibe. That is all there, but what really makes AKA Rittenhouse Square stand out are the people. The welcome note by Bianca was hand written and truly personalised, a bottle of wine awaited us in the living room and we had great fun with the assistant whose name was actually London... When I sadly had to leave early due to a medical emergency, one night was actually taken off the bill - that had never happened to me anywhere else in decades of travelling. We are already planning our next stay there.

We loved everything about this place

For some reason the hotel never received our reservation from Booking.com so check in was confusing and stressful- they found a room for the first night (of our 5 night stay), but didn't have a room for our entire trip. I spent the early morning hours looking on my computer for alternative possibilities for the remaining 4 nights of our stay in Philly. The next morning the manager was able to find a room the we were able to move to for the rest of our stay (thank you!!). This was not the hotels fault - it was Booking.com.

They never came to service the room - which a few days was fine, but it would have been nice to have the room freshened up with more toilet paper, coffee pods, water, etc at least once during our stay. I will never book through Booking.com again - they offered zero help or solutions and tried to say the fact that we checked in after midnight was the reason the hotel didn't have our reservation(???).

Location is good, staff is nice and helpful and let me check out an hour later for no extra cost, doorman London is super nice, bed was comfy, tv can receive apple screen sharing, Nespresso machine, good smelling shampoo and body wash in the bathroom, quiet. Nice to have a minifridge, and it was stocked with a couple waters.

Room felt small, bathroom felt cramped, shower door gasket wasn't a full seal so water leaked a bit, ceiling lamp wasn't secured well, blackout curtains had some gaps, the late-night outdoor card scanner was broken at one point but staff was available 24/7 to open the door. None of these would be a problem if the price of the room was lower, then again I also traveled on a holiday weekend so that played into it.

Our best memory here is the concierge service. Thank you Wister! From the moment you arrive to leaving, you feel as though you live in the City and have a regular friend to help you. Always there and very keen to supply every need. The laundry room was broken and they offered use of a suite with a machine or a free wash externally which was great. We had living room, kitchen and bedroom with bathroom. All decent sizes; kitchen fully equipped even provided Nescafe pods. Bathroom has tub and shower. Lovely views of sunset and reflected sunrise in hotel across the square. Location is fine in a seemingly safe upmarket area. Transport easy.

It is in an older building which has been carefully modernised. However a few things not fixed in the works. Electrics are poor. Our ling room had no light switch - you had to use a floor lamp. Equally the bedroom was switch operated the bedside lamps but only from the door, not the bed. And the light was poor for reading. No other lights. Room was cleaned but bit missed - blinds were dusty and bath felt grimy. Windows quite dirty which is a shame given the view.

I always stay at AKA Rittenhouse when I visit Philaelphia. It is my home away from home. The staff at the front desk are exceptionally helpful. The apartments, no matter what size you choose, are clean with all the amenities needed to minimally make coffee (in the studio) all the way up to a fully equipped kitchen in the larger units. The beds are comfortable, the views of the city or Rittenhouse Square are the best: I wouldn't choose to stay anywhere else.

Staff who received us very polite and helpful. Accommodations was clean and well designed for our use.

Would have liked a powder room, access to room service could be more efficient and Manager on last day could be less abrupt when speaking to guests and more like the previous courteous Manager (Julie?). When I requested a late check out he said we had to pay the rate for half a day, but it would only give us an hour and a half more time which did not make sense.

The apartment was fantastic, very big and spacious. Modern looking, overlooking Rittenhouse Square. The room amenities were great, bed was comfortable. The television was modern and had all channels needed. Shower was great too. Staff were lovely and informative. I'd highly recommend the hotel, it's in a great area of Philadelphia.

The coffee machine was not near a plug socket so I had to move it to the floor where there was one lol

Stacia and Breanna at the front desk were wonderful. Check in and check out was a breeze. The room/studio layout was fantastic. Especially for families traveling with children, the living space with a couch and the kitchenette is a great bonus, makes up for smaller size primary rooms. Mattress and bed linens are comfortable. Overall well appointed, clean, quiet. Location is a plus! The Rittenhouse park with the farmer’s market on saturdays and its central city park vibe was a great winding down place in the evenings. Lots of restaurants nearby including K’far and Goldie. Walkable to both science museums and the Barnes Foundation.

Bathrooms (and showers) are on the smaller size but that is expected in cities like Philadelphia and New York.

The location of the Rittenhouse is excellent - right on the square and central to the muesums, old town and lots of great restaurants and bars. While the rooms are not super large they are really modern, clean and well appointed. The staff in particular were incrediblely helpful, accommodating and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We also ate at the restaurant in the hotel - a.kitchen - and loved it.

The bathroom set up was a little strange - though perfectly functional. The toilet and sink were in one room, then there was a dedicated separate shower room. It wasn't in any way bad just took some getting used to!
