The gentleman at reception, I didn't catch his name but he was working at around 5pm on Dec 27 2024 was very pleasant. Took the time to show us a map of the local area and recommend food options. The room was very spacious and clean. The building felt secure. There was free parking on the street from 5pm on Fridays and from 12pm Saturday to Monday morning which was a huge bonus. Decent TV with access to Netflix etc was appreciated. Water pressure was great. The location is great local shops including woolies, maccas etc was a few blocks walk away. The Newcastle tram station is also a 5 min walk away which takes you all the way to Newcastle beach so you can leave the car at home. Appreciated access the gym on site. The air conditioning in the room was great. Great sized bar fridge provided.

We found the bed a bit uncomfortable. This is a personal preference, the bed was not hard, more on the softer side which we do prefer but felt like it offered no support so we didn't sleep as comfy as we would have liked. Otherwise bedding was warm and comfy. The shower head could not be moved which was just a small gripe. We had a lot of water on the shower floor but asked for extra bath towels which did the trick.

Best of both worlds - you get a really decent sized apartment which is serviced everyday. You don’t get a weird host asking you to put the bins out and complaining about the way you put plates away. This is a historic building. We stayed in two different two bedroom apartments over a period of a week (as we were back and forth from Sydney). They’ve done a great job of keeping the historic elements in the rooms. Beds are comfortable. Block out curtains do a great job. There is an oven and a dishwasher. My daughter cooked brownies in the oven. We had no issues getting parking and had our own reserved spot for the whole trip.

The foyer area where you first walk in is lovely and the staff and friendly - but when you go through a set of doors into the main sitting area it is pretty drab and depressing. Not a big deal as we didn’t spend much time sitting there. We will definitely we will be back.

The tower apartment was spacious and clean . The bed was firm but comfortable and it was nice to have kitchen and dining facilities.

The additional charge for parking was a little excessive given the minimal security it offered. The pre-authorisation of $200 was not communicated at the time of booking, only after the confirmation arrived. There is very little that reception offers. Our check-in was very matter of fact rather than welcoming and by 8pm no-one is on site.

the staff were extremely helpful

being more flexible with check-in check-out times. I know this is difficult as the cleaning staff need time to clean the room from the previous guest. My daughter fell ill not long after we arrived, I wasnt due to check in for a few hours but I was hoping that I could get access to the room early so she could have a sleep. The staff did their absolute best to find a room for us but werent able to find anything earlier than the original check-in time.

We had a huge room with a kitchenette and balcony. This was great for our 4 day stay. The Quest is also very close to the light rail terminal which makes getting to the beach and the other end of town very easy.

We were surprised there wasn't a couch or some comfortable chairs in the room. There is a lot of space so it seems like an oversight. I also think having to pay $25 per day for parking is a bit steep.

Our room was a 1 bedroom apartment which was fabulous. Plenty of room, the high vaulted ceilings with old timber beams were really lovely. The kitchenette was handy & having a lounge, tv & small dining table in a separate space was great. The bathroom was roomy with everything we needed. We love the character of the old building and the renovation has been beautifully carried out. A great place to stay.

Nothing really.

2 bedroom unit was great

Was unable to have onsite parking even though had been requested. Had to bring luggage quite some distance then as we were in the tower unit also had multiple stairs to manage. Our group was able to manager this but if we had had an elderly person or someone with disability would have been extremely difficult. Perhaps a note when booking this unit that there were multiple stairs required to be be navigated for entry would be good for people to know

The one bedroom apartment was very spacious and very clean. We got an early check in and the staff were very accommodating.

We didn't like the wall "skylight" in the bedroom, as we needed to be able to put our kids in there for a nap, so had to get creative to shut the light out. The bedroom also didn't have its own aircon, which was also a problem during the day.

We stayed here for the Pink concert. $9 a night parking across the road at Wilson’s parking and directly across from the interchange where we caught the shuttle to and from the stadium. On arrival the staff were welcoming and friendly, they had pink lemonade, which was refreshing on the warm day and pink lollipops. The apartment was amazing felt like a home away from home, clean and roomy. It was absolutely fantastic.

Everything was great

Great location next to the Interconnect terminal. Tram or train within 5min walk. Well-presented hotel- clean common areas and apartment. Good to have onsite parking (even at a cost) Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds and pillows. Good choice of cook wear and utensils, all clean

Didn't dislike anything about our stay. Might be nice to have a retractable clothesline in the shower to hang cossies etc.
