Close to St Pancras station and quite room. Air conditioning in room was a godsend.

A delightful overnight stay. Our first visit to the House of Toby. A warm welcome was given at reception and first impressions were very good. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout and looked very fresh and well maintained. The double room was nicely furnished and air conditioned, which was a godsend as the weather was extremely warm. An extremely comfortable bed which I didn't want to get out of (I was actually tempted to ask who supplied the mattress!) Simple swipe card to access the room. Come and go as you please. Great location too - five minute walk to King's Cross tube and about a half hour walk to theatreland. I've stayed in dearer hotels in this area which have been dirty, cramped and had broken furniture, so it was a great relief to finally find one as pleasant as this. Genuine review here, and I genuinely cannot fault this place. I will definitely be back!!

We had a lovely welcome form the manager, the room was clean and very well presented and the beds were really comfortable. Good selection of continental breakfast options too and the hotel is only a short walk (10mins) from St. Pancras.

The only downside was the lack of a lift, which wasn’t too much of an issue as we’re fit and healthy, but would have been handy with our suitcases. Didn’t affect our enjoyment of the stay though.

It was clean and it was easy to find and check in and out of. The location is good and the price is acceptable for this reason. Also all employees seemed very friendly and caring, which was nice.

The room was surprisingly small. The double deluxe room seemed too small for two guest, if you ask us. It felt suffocating to always be less than a meter away from each other - even while visiting the toilet. With only a semi-closeable side scrolling door available to give a little privacy to the toilet, it felt too close for comfort. The room doors were very noisy when being closed. People arriving late could easily be heard from our room at night.

Great location, extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. I asked to change the room as was too cold and they happily sorted it straight away with no fuss! Very clean, nice and comfortable bed. Seems it has been recently refurbished. I must say it is value for money. Stayed at different hotels and this one was one of the top. I got a very nice room, that was even better than the one I booked. Totally recommend, felt like hope. Will come back soon! ;)

The only tiny thing to note is that the rooms are not sound proof, you can hear other guests on the hallway and some traffic noise from windows, but it wan’t too bad. I wake up easily, so could hear but it wasn’t a nuisance, I bet most of people would not mind.

Room was nice. Very clean. Location is very convenient, bed was very clean and comfortable, I slept well. I would stay there again.

The only thing I didn’t like so much is when I entered the room the thermostat was set at 27. I thought wow, that’s hot, but then I realized the fan in the toilet couldn’t be turned off and the toilet from was very cold and noisy. This must have been why the room thermostat was set so high. But the room was a reasonable temperature, just a bit drafty from the toilet and the fan noise was a bit annoying. Otherwise the room was great.

The room was small, but it was clean, they cleaned it every day. The staff was nice. Instead of the large blanket, we asked for 2 smaller ones, and they promptly brought us an extra blanket. We didn't have to ask for breakfast in advance, it was suggested when booking that we check it out and if we like it, we can eat there. Breakfast was ok, cost about £7 per person. Not a typical English breakfast, but it was fine. We stayed for 3 days, during the day we visited the city, for these 2 nights this accommodation was the perfect choice.

The walls of the rooms are paper thin, and you could hear the neighbors coming and going in the corridor. Fortunately, there was less noise coming from their room. However, there is a big construction site next door, which is noisy and the whole building shook terribly below us. Fortunately, they stop working at night, so it was quiet.

Staff were amiable and while the room was small and basic, it was clean, quiet and bed was very comfortable. Location is great, only a few minutes stroll to Kings Cross station with shops, pubs and restaurants nearby. Unfortunately, I had to cut my stay short by a day - needed to travel up North before heavy snow hit. Would definitely stay again though.

As mentioned, the room was small and limited - no iron or fridge. Also if you have a lot of luggage or mobility issues, you may want to request a lower floor as there are quite a few stairs to navigate.

I was very lucky to find this hotel. The location was very convenient, so close to Kings Cross. And the size of the room and the bathroom was surprisingly decent, considering I was in central London. With modern furniture, I had everything I needed. Staff was very welcoming on my arrival and friendly on check out. Definitely recommend.

The only bad note, if I really have to mention something, was the noise from the street. I was on the ground floor and could hear people passing by and cars. I had ear plugs with me, so it didn't prevent me from sleeping well.

Friendly staff on reception and well maintained public areas. The continental breakfast was good value for money but would benefit from some savoury items. The bathroom, especially the shower, was great and had modern fixtures. The bed was comfortable. The location, in central London gives the budget conscious traveller all they need and close to trains and underground stations.

The bedroom was a little tired and would benefit from some touching up of scuff marks. There was no hanging space apart from one hook in the bathroom.
