The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was perfect for us and our dog. Loved the location - stunnig countryside, and wonderful breakfast. The location was ideal for us as we wanted to walk, see the coast and visit Corfe Castle.

Our bed was so uncomfortable - we really didn't sleep well and I had back ache the next morning. We really aren't fussy guests but this was truly the most uncomfortable bed we have slept in. It woud have been helpful to have more places to hang wet coats by the door as one small hook on the back of the door was not enough for 2 coats and they were still wet the next morning. Our shower head kept falling out of its holder and the shower caddy was not in the best place as we kept knockig it with our elbows every time we moved in the shower! Lovely to have a heated towel rail but a separate large towel rail as well would mean we could have spread both towels out to dry and also give somehwer to put the hand towels - all a bit cramped on the heated towel rail.

Cozy country place with lots of outdoor space - gorgeous views from the garden! Stone buildings were beautiful and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much of an ask and even gave me decaf tea when asked with fresh milk.

The drain in my en suite smelt but only in the bathroom even with the door open. The blinds had a chunk missing off the top slat - although it did not hinder privacy (and the very top slat is loose). Touch lamps - but look like wooden ones so I initially thought it wasn’t working

The location high up in the Purbeck Hills is magnificent. The restaurant is excellent. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Being outside of town the place is very peaceful and quiet, yet within easy reach of attractions such as Corfe Castle and the steam railway and of towns such as Swanage and Wareham. The hotel staff are all friendly and helpful and seem to want you to enjoy your stay. The views from the hotel gardens are superb.

The weather! But I can't blame the hotel for that. Really, I could not think of anything that might have been better. The only hiccup was that the TV in the room I was booked into did not work, so they gave me an upgrade to another more spacious room.

The views from the property surrounds were stunning. Easy walk to a lovely pub, and few minutes' beautiful drive into Corfe Castle. The included breakfast was wonderful, with full English, pancakes, eggs on toast and continental on offer each day. Great coffee. The children loved the biscuits in the room and that they were replenished daily. Reception staff were really helpful and informative about the local area. The heater in the bathroom made it very toasty. Having two bedrooms in the family 'room' was excellent.

The bedroom blinds were quite flimsy and some thick curtains would have been better. Dogs in the breakfast restaurant was a surprise to us.

Second stay at this hotel. It's quirky and not perfect, but the staff and location are excellent; ideal for Swanage, Studland, and Corfe Castle. Breakfast is always great, particularly the full English.

Nothing major. I had just checked in and needed to shower and change to get to a dinner reservation in Swanage. I had just stepped into the shower when there was a knock at the door and I was asked if I could move my car so that a coach could park up. Thankfully the situation was resolved before I'd had a chance to get out and move my car.

Nicely laid out room around courtyard. Good location close to Corfe Castle

Rather characterless - no one in charge or giving the place a vision. Silly system of four rooms all called “1” but with names that were not on the doors. Several times guests tried our door by mistake! Rather mediocre breakfast. Insisted on a supplement of £1 for a latte even though breakfast was included in the room rate.

Very friendly, helpful staff; a thoroughly enjoyable evening meal and breakfast. The Courtyard is located just outside Kingston and gives a super view of Corfe Castle and the surrounding hills from nearby (we didn't stay in one of the rooms with a view directly but a short walk to the entrance gave us a great view). Very comfortable, large bed - and well made, too, so it was easy to snuggle under the huge duvet!

The only issue was that the heating in our room didn't appear to be working on arrival and the room was very cold. The door opens direct onto the outside. We reported this to a staff member who loaned us a portable heater and then, while at dinner, the issue was resolved. After this the heating was more than adequate so this really wasn't a huge issue.

Good, clean accommodation, great breakfast, continental buffet with cooked to order full English. Really good quality local produce used. Ours was a simple, but perfectly adequate room with walk in shower/wet room. Fresh white linen and towels. Lovely garden with view across to Corfe Castle and got to see the steam train going through too. Great location for exploring Dorset. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Excellent for our one night stopover - would stay again.

Nothing bad about our stay :)

The breakfast was the usual choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, and then a choice of the usual full English breakfast items. These were served promptly and hot. The dinner menu was quite good so long as you were only staying for four or five nights. Any longer, and your choices had to be repeated! However, the food was tasty, well cooked and served quite quickly. One fault we found was that there was too much food and we left quite a lot. Of course, not everyone would find this a fault! All the staff, wherever you met them - whether on reception, serving food, cleaning the rooms, doing maintenance, cooking - were always friendly and helpful. It was really good to see one of the owners, Tony, taking part in all of the daily chores! We were very pleased to see several dogs there, and all very well behaved.

The lighting in the bedrooms could be a lot brighter. The wet room could do with a hand held shower rather than the overhead one which sprayed everywhere. Too much food served at dinner, and requests (such as a request for no vegetables, or child size portion) not always noted.

Loved our stay here from start to finish! The buildings themselves are beautiful and are in such a lovely location with a wonderful view! I enjoyed all the added extra attentions to detail such as providing dog poo bags and a bin (even though we didn't bring a dog I still noticed this!) and a bench in the garden to appreciate the view! The accommodation was great, so cosy and clean. The bed was very comfy and the front room was such a nice addition and was a great place to enjoy our evening (also loved the addition of dressing gowns!). Only sound we heard all night was the cows! The lovely staff were very helpful and friendly and gave us recommendations on where to go for dinner. Breakfast was very tasty, the continental had a great variety and there was plenty of hot food to choose from and enjoy aswell, which we didn't wait long! All in all, a great place to stay and we would definitely come again!

Only thing to watch is the low beams if you're tall! We had one right above the toilet so had to be careful when getting off it! But that's definitely not a complaint as its the architecture of the buildings!
