The room was super clean, and a great price. I was a female solo traveler. The hotel was safe, the staff were super, and the immediate area was incredibly safe. I would walk back alone from the MTR station at 00.30 or so and never feel uncomfortable. Overall, for a budget hotel, it represented excellent value. You will get tired of the location after a couple of days, but it is incredibly practical - MTRs and buses nearby to take you everywhere you want to go, and there’s a lovely pedestrianized waterfront walk just a five minute walk from the hotel which was stunning. More corporates (eg JP Morgan) are opening up in the area so I think more amenities will come.

I booked this hotel through booking.com 30mins before checking in as I needed a room at the last minute. I chose it because it was inexpensive and close to where I needed to be the next morning. I had no idea what to expect and was beyond delighted to find a clean, well-appointed, totally adorable, nostalgic retro-industrial themed hotel that I instantly fell in love with. I never leave reviews but in this case I have to. 10/10 recommend. Staff were friendly; my king room was spotless, quiet, and the largest I’ve ever seen in HK at a price point under HKD1,200; the decor in the public areas was playful without being cheesy, and the theme carried through in the room in a more subtle way, with design decisions that also seemed practical; the room layout and finishes were smart; temperature control was easy, and the price was excellent value. There was also a thoughtful binder in the room with ALL the nearby food, mall and delivery options with opening hours, walking distance, etc which was very much appreciated. Overall, IND Hotel was an absolute gem of a find and I’m so glad I happened to get stuck in this part of town with nowhere to stay so I could discover it!

My only gripe would be that there was no shampoo in the room, only soap. Amenities were available for purchase at the front desk but a refillable shampoo bottle installed in the showers would be good. There were, however, nice white ‘real’ towels, thank goodness. Some ‘budget’ hotels in HK have started offering ‘disposable towels’ which are horrible to use and disastrous for the environment.

Clean and tidy, comfortable bed. Really nice shower. It was a large room by Hong Kong standards. 10 minutes walk to metro station. Few shops , seven 11 and Starbucks, etc, nearby.

Unfortunately, the walls are really thin and have no sound deadening. You will hear your neighbours every movement and conversation. The bus stops are outside and a busy road can be heard. But it is a city, so don't let it put you off. Just have some ear plugs. You will need to take your own toiletries or buy a pack from the hotel.

The room was actually nice, especially for a solo traveler like me. The housekeeping - she’s such a gem! She maintained the cleanliness of the room and changed bedsheets/towels every day. There’s this one lady who works the night shift and can speak English. She has always been friendly and approachable whenever I need some stuff to use.

Some staff at the front desk are not friendly and accommodating.

it is designed with industrial theme in mind, location is pretty good as I start to discover places around the hotel like a Starbucks. it’s also very easy to get to with a direct A22 AirPort Express bus.

the sound insulation is quite weak as I can hear my neighbour’s talking

Overall it is a great deal. The room is larger than expected given the space in Hong Kong. The staffs are really nice, and they provide free luggage keeping service and charger transformer lending service, which really saved my life.

The road from MTR to the hotel might be a little hard for travelers with two suitcases, but it will not be a problem if you grab a taxi or travel light.

Maid cleans well. The young people at the reception during the day are very good, work hard and speak well.

Non-teenage night receptionist Do not accept guests and speak badly, do not have human relations and use loud shouting words As for the journey, it's a bit difficult, taxis are hard to find.

The location is somewhat accessible, although it is not very close to the nearest MTR station. The room is clean.

The mini-fridge does not stay on or cold when you are out, therefore every day my drinks in there are room temperature when I come back to the room.

Location is good. The price is good for hk standard.

The air conditioner is really cold. If your room is on the road side. It can be noisy.
