Comfortable room within short distance to downtown and all historical sites. Lots of restaurants nearby as well.

Hotel could use some updating as non-smoking room still had heavy stale cigarette smell. Also not crazy about the giant bath gel, shampoo & conditioner bottles affixed to shower wall for all guests to use (prefer small individual travel size). Luckily I brought my own hair products. We could also hear every step from the room above us (either very heavy walkers or not enough sound proofing in ceiling). I've never experienced this in a hotel before. Need better lighting in bathroom. I was expecting a lot nicer room for the price paid.

Main lobby was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Rooms were nice and beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows!

I’m not sure why I was charged $222 for a Tuesday night. Seems a bit much. Some people at front desk were not very friendly. Only one guy stands out as being really kind and friendly. Too bad I didn’t see him much during my stay, I guess he worked more at night. Some of the day shift women were dressed like they were going out to a night club, just overdone and not becoming for the atmosphere.

We arrived an hour early and was told the room was ready but it would be a 25$ early check in charge. Have never experienced this before and I travel a lot. Middle schoolers running up and down the halls screaming on 2nd floor and first floor at all hours. chaperones didn't do a good job and hotel staff did not stop it. For the price, I felt breakfast should have been complimentary..I was charged 4$ for a candy bar?!

Breakfast was very good on Sat . Sunday was understaffed and abit of a fire drill. the room was excellent and clean. The mattress was very good

Sunday night we ate in the resturant. Again understaffed but the person there was trying very hard. The cook was not so hot. Pun unintended. She burnt the burgers and the rolls were so dry as to be inedable. the fries were good. There was no sense of urgency to deliver the meal

Friendly and helpful staff. The air-conditioning unit in my room was not working. It would blow air, but the room was not cooling. I dealt with it the first night. I told front desk staff the next morning; they said the maintenance guy was there and he would look at it while I was out for the day. Came back later that afternoon to a cool room! Very happy with the quick service and fix. Also: Great location; comfortable bed.

Pillows were super soft and unsupportive. Bring your own if that matters to you.

Well maintained property, ample parking, low road noise, small basic convenience counter, bar and limited fare available, pool was enjoyed by many other guests, tiny designated smoking spot, microwave and mini fridge, decent tv, moderately updated furnishings and decor, well maintained, helpful employees, clean and comfortable. Security measures in place.

Check in area not obvious upon entering lobby, smoking accommodations inadequate and breakfast not included. Paid for amenities we couldn’t enjoy due to large group of middle schoolers (well behaved, polite, but still..) that overtook the pool, lounge, elevators, and serenity. No fan in bathroom, not enough towel hooks/bars, or trash cans, toilet paper is thin and cheap, shower head is basic.

I was pleased they allow dogs. The holiday decorations were wonderful; including the “igloo” outside that you can sit in comfortably. The entire hotel was very clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable, so I had no issues with sleeping. The location is close to everything.

The hot tub could have been a little warmer, and the chlorine bothered my eyes. The pool was great though.

HGI Gettysburg is in an attractive setting with very nice amenities. It made a perfect base for our explorations of Gettysburg National Battlefield. The ambience of the lobby is several steps above what you would expect at a moderately priced motel; there is a little shop where you can purchase sundries and a tiny but nice restaurant and bar. Plus, the motel is pet friendly! We will definitely stay here again.

I thought the hotel was beautiful. The heated igloo outside was so cute and my grandchildren thought that was awesome!

As a handicapped senior citizen, I couldn’t find any close parking spaces. The closest we’re across from the entrance. After the snow we had prior to leaving it was very scary for me walking to my car.

The ambiance when you walk in is phenomenal! I loved seeing a shop/store front and center upon walking in. There was also a beautiful backdrop in the corner; great for pictures. Daniel, the front desk attendant when we checked in, I LOVED THIS MAN! So funny and engaging, with a wonderful heart and personality. I often complete reviews but never name drop. This man and his kindness need to be recognized! Thank you so much, Daniel!
