We stayed one night, then came back 8 days later for 4 nights. The staff was wonderful! They called taxis for us, held our luggage at both ends of the trip. We chose Muru due to its reviews, and mostly because it is in a quiet area, in the San Blas neighborhood. Still easy walks to a huge area of Cusco, including 15 min walk to Plaza Des Armas, including peaking in shops on the way. The beds were great, and the showers were big, with great water pressure and hot water! Would definitely recommend it!

Hotel staff is very friendly. WiFi works well. Nice hot showers with great water pressure. The breakfast on the top floor is decent and has a great view of the city. The onsite restaurant is good, and the prices are the same as other restaurants in town. The hotel is pretty quiet at night.
Rooms are a bit small, especially for more than one person. The window shades are unable to block the light from all the street lights outside the hotel - so the room isn't very dark at night. Not many options for restaurants and groceries by the hotel (there is a walk to the main city center), but at least it's quiet at night.

Breakfast is great. Just similar with other hotel in Latin America, the choice in breakfast buffet is limited. But there are hidden dishes which are provided upon request. These hidden dishes are offered when you arrived. Coca tea is served at check-in. Staffs can be communicated in English. Rooms are quite clean, only there are two spiders found in the ceiling. Laundry service is a little bit expensive, yet it is convenient and good result. Luggage can be keep in hotel for a few days as we joined the 4-day Inca Trail trip.
Location is a little bit far from central plaza. But it worth because the services are wonderful.

Staff was so friendly and gave us excellent advice to explore Cusco upon arrival (especially the tip to check out Centro Qosqo de Arte Nativo with the tourist ticket). The hotel offered great value for money and the view from the breakfast room was stunning. The room was clean and the hotel is located near the trendy area of San Blas which was a great surprise.
Due to the design of the hotel's internal atrium, noise from the reception area travels easily and is sometimes disturbing during the night. Breakfast was ok to get you started for the day, but quite basic.

Our room was clean every day. The bathrooms in the entire hotel were very, very clean. Breakfast was also good. The staff, especially the young guy the reception desk was wonderful and very helpful. All the guys at Breakfast were polite and welcoming. The beds are comfortable. A taxi from the plaza was only 7.80 soles with Uber, about 2 dollars. The pressure of the water at the bathroom was the best in all hotels. I stayed for seven nights and will stay again.
The lobby doesn’t look as pretty as the pictures, but everything is very clean. I really like my room and the bathroom

We returned to Maru for one night after our trip to Macchu Pichu, having previously stayed 4 nights. It was so lovely to ‘come home’ to and possibly our room was even better than the first room, being on a higher floor meant the view was even better. The staff are all so friendly and a special mention to Anthony in the dining room, he was there first thing for breakfast and last thing for dinner, always so courteous and friendly and interested in what we were planning/or had done. The rooms are very clean, bathrooms have under floor heating, there’s a kettle in the room and teabags, and a heater should you need it. The views are amazing, neighbourhood quiet, but only 7 minutes walk to SanBlas.

We loved that this was just out of town, so nice and quiet but close enough to the historic centre. This is also perfect if you have a car as there is parking available. We easily caught an Uber into town. The staff are absolutely lovely, the restaurant is a good option for dinner. We also were able to leave our car and luggage at the hotel in between stays, while we went on a 2 night tour to Manu national park. Also have a range of snacks on site so don’t need to go to the shops, plus a handy laundry service.

Pros: the room was spacious, clean, and had a lovely view! The breakfast spread was expansive. We also really liked the neighborhood as it is a bit more residential and quiet. The staff was consistently kind and helpful!
Cons: the two-bedroom apartment (room 502) is located directly under the restaurant. I slept with earplugs in but was kept awake due to their noise from the restaurant above when they were closing their kitchen service (until 10pm). The next morning I awoke to played being dropped and people shuffling around at 6AM. If you are a light sleeper I would recommend any other room in the hotel. The other issue was the water temperature - at night it was hot but in the morning it was only like warm. We called reception to help with the problem, but they did not fix it by the time we checked out and we had to take cold showers.

Cosy stay in Cusco! The hotel is quite modern and has all the necessary equipment. Beds are good, the shower is well functioning! There is a electric kettle in the room. The breakfast was very good, and especially the view is amazing. The hotel is located at the limit of the historical center, there is like 20 minutes of walk till the central square, but at least you are away from the busy central narrow streets. The hotel stuff was really welcoming and ready to help !
no major issues to report

The true standout of Muru Homely Hotel is its exceptional hospitality. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that your stay is as pleasant as possible. My family and I stayed in a spacious family room that featured two large bedrooms, a luxurious bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, and a well-equipped kitchen. The highlight, however, was the breathtaking mountain views from our balcony—an experience that added an extra touch of magic to our stay.
