We loved the kitchen in the apartment room, we were able to make food we bought from the Tesco Express just down the street. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was really nice, and they had a towel warmer, which was a nice perk. It felt like we had our own little flat in London! The staff was friendly, and the location was great, being close to the train station as well as shops and cafes. It is a non-traditional hotel, where you are given a code to use to get into the hotel and room, and there is no elevator- but we knew all this and it didn’t impact our stay negatively.

Keystone House is in the perfect location, 5 minute walk (if that) to Kings Cross Station. The room was neat and tidy enough and had tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom was neatly presented with enough towels for all of us. We didn't have a hair dryer but called the number provided, and one was brought up to us immediately. I like that the property has a pin code to access the doors. It felt safe and secure. I thought the room would be very noisy being above a pub and by a busy road, but it wasn't. We slept well with minimal noise pollution. We were on the 2nd floor. This property is a great base for a shopping trip or a quick stay in London. It's minimal, but you get what you pay for.

Having two double beds was a bit of a squeeze it the layout that they were placed in. We managed but had to climb over the bed to access space for luggage. The sofa bed wasn't the best, quite squeakie, it would be ok for 1 person but was not the best with 2 people in it. I paid extra for a birthday banner and balloons. These were extremely minimal and not really worth it. There were a lot of stairs, don't get me wrong, I knew this before booking but it was a little tiring for my elderly mother carrying her case up. If you have mobility issues and don't get a ground floor room, then this isn't for you. All the carpets could do with a revamp. They look a bit tired, but this didn't bother us, just an observation.

Perfect location. Room was very clean. Although the trafffick around the hotel was heavy, inside was very quiet. Air condition was doing great job and online check in was easy as well as entering the hotel with code. I would book again :)

When I was booking the hotel room there was no information that room has no window. I found that out only few days before the trip when I was completing online check in. Even though the lack of windows did not affect our stay in the hotel, I would prefer if I knew that information earlier.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is 2-3 minutes away from King’s Cross station. We arrived earlier than the specified check-in time and the receptionist assisted us by taking our luggage and storing it at a safe place until we were allowed to check into our room. The latter, although a bit small, was actually bigger than the double rooms in the other hotels nearby. The room was tidy and clean. The sheets were soft and there were a bunch of towels provided for the guests. The bathroom’s size was also quite bigger compared to the bathrooms in the other hotels at the area. Shower gel, soap, etc., were provided. We stayed for just one night but enjoyed our stay overall.

The double room we stayed in did not have any windows which was a bit unpleasant. It was probably mentioned on Booking.com that this exact type of room would have no windows, and maybe it was our fault that we hadn’t paid enough attention to that, but that wasn’t a big issue anyways. However, for a longer stay it would most probably be quite uncomfortable. Additionally, you could hear the sound of the underground passing below/near the hotel when in the room. The noise wasn’t very loud at all, but it might be an issue for pickier guests or for the light sleepers. Apart from these 2 tiny details everything was great.

The location of the Keystone House was great, just a few meters walk from King's Cross station. We were given an access code to open the main door to the building and to open the room. The room was spacious and perfectly adequate for sleeping. There was a bit of noise from the street and the nearby station, but we didn't mind it as we fell asleep right away. We only stayed one night here but I would come back if we are ever in London again.

Maybe it would be good to improve the cleaning. We had dirty drinking cups that were in the bathroom. We found a lot of hair in the room (on the chair, in the bed). Otherwise everything else was clean.

Very close proximity to Kings Cross train station. Made it very easy to take the tube and trains to navigate the city and catch the Hop on Bus Coupon for a free drink at the attached Scottish bar. Able to store our luggage until check in after an early arrival.

Getting our large suitcase up the stairway to our room. Thankfully, we were on the first floor, so only one set of stairs. But hey, we were warned on the website and knew. No outlet for hair dryer in the bathroom, but we took the full length mirror hanging on the door and hooked it over the TV. Skylight - how to retract the shade cover???

A compact, modern room that had everything I needed - a comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities, plugs, TV, USB charging, a/c, very good WiFi and a lovely shower - just a shame the drain was blocked. No keys are required or given - you have to register online before you arrive and you are emailed a 4 digit code that gets you in the front door, the door past reception (which was closed when I arrived) and into your room. The corridors and stairs are a bit of a maze but luckily well signposted. I would definitely stay here again.

Some people might not like how small the room is - not a room to spend a day relaxing in. Other than the blocked shower drain that was just bad luck, , no other complaints from me.

The Keystone is conveniently located close to King's Cross and St. Pancras Station - which I needed to catch an early Eurostar. There was a staff member on the desk, but they also send you everything to check-in and access your room so you don't have to interact with anyone. It's also right above The Scottish Stores pub and they give you a voucher for a free drink which was nice. Otherwise, the room was clean and reasonably priced for the location.

There's no lift, so that's something to keep in mind if stairs are an issue - and they are quite narrow so can be tricky with luggage. The mattress was okay, not the comfiest, but not the worst either.

No fuss, self check-in is good. Location is good for transport. Plenty of places to eat and drink in the area. Room at the top was a bit of a climb with a large bag - ample warning of this in hotel description - but was rewarded with a good view from up there. The room was spotless, a credit to the cleaners. Room was a good size and it had plenty of outlets around the room for convenient use of devices while charging. Good size TV. Unexpectedly, I was given a room with a kitchen, which was a nice surprise, so I was able to bring some food in and eat on plates! Good tea and coffee making facilities. Voucher for a FREE drink in the adjacent pub, plus 10% discount on further purchases in there. Rumble from the Underground was noticeable, but not a problem for me - I didn't need to use the supplied earplugs. Enjoyed my stay. Would use again, and am happy to recommend.

A couple of snags. Fire door for kitchen closes slowly until the last few inches then slams closed. I had to keep a hold to avoid disturbing adjacent room - some people may not bother holding. The gel dispenser in shower was full but dispensed very little gel on each push. Could be blocked.

Perfect for a night or two if you just need somewhere convenient before a big trip. The rooms have enough space to keep you and your things. The facilities were some of the best I've had, rivalling well-known hotel chains. Plenty of tea and coffee and milk sachets as well as a couple of treats and a free alcoholic beverage at the pub next door! A great TV as well and due to you having your own private code to access your room, there was a certain feeling of security and safety. Can't go wrong with Keystone, right in the heart of London and main transport links. 10/10 would stay again - even without the need for Kings Cross!
