The rooms are huge! The beds are so comfortable, and everything just looks and feels clean and fresh. It is such a refreshing stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is absolutely perfect - we didn't have to use the car at all during our whole stay. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance open till late into the night.

On-site valet parking is extremely expensive at 30$ a night. There is a garage right across the street that offers parking for 15$ a night.

I would have given a 10, but breakfast was terrible. Someone need to take a good look at breakfast because better can be done and it brings down the mark for the hotel. As a non-meat/egg eater, I was counting on the yogurt for breakfast. The yogurt available was a health hazard if one was per-diabetic or diabetic. It would make more sense to have full fat yogurt instead of low fat yogurt which is nothing more than sugar. Also instead of having cut up potatoes, well seasoned potatoes in smaller pieces would have been a better choice. Overall, I love the hotel and its proximity to all the areas downtown - the trails, shopping, restaurants, public transportation and being able to walk everywhere. A special thank you to the young lady who took the time out to show me where to take the bus and the young lady who called a taxi to take me to the train station on leaving. Thank you to the cleaning staff for their all their help. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again if and when I do decide to revisit Portland.

As stated above breakfast was terrible and needed to be look at as a matter of urgency Change the all sugar yogurt to full fat yogurt - low fat and full of sugar is a diabetic's death wish. Do better with the potatoes - seasoned potatoes would be better choice - seasoned does not mean full of staff - use Mrs Dash no-salt seasoning. Grated cheese would also be a good idea to go along with the potatoes for those who do not eat meat/eggs

Maybe should include parking for guests which would bring more guests to your hotel

Great location. Very comfortable. We could see the cruise ships from Our window. As with all Hampton Inns, the pillows are extremely soft but luckily there were enough. Staff were mostly great and very helpful.

Breakfast buffet was basic. As someone who requires a gluten free diet, cereal containers were mislabeled and thus contaminated. I mentioned this to the young lady at the desk and she didn’t seem too concerned. Also, $40 daily parking fee seemed excessive when there was a $20 parking lot across the street which we would certainly take advantage of next time

Excellent location. Close to shops, restaurants, ferry dock. Room was clean and comfortable, typical of newer chain hotel. The weather was hot, and the temperature control in the room was very good. All the staff were super friendly and helpful.

There was a one-inch gap between the bottom of the door and the sill, so every word and sound in the hallway outside was loud and clear. There were soft and firm pillows on each bed, but the firm pillows weren't very firm. The breakfast was decently good, but less so the second day, when they seem to have run out of fruit and other items close to closing time. The orange juice from the machine was watery, coffee just so-so.

Downtown location was perfect. We could walk to everything we wanted to do, boat tours, dining, shops etc.... We paid a premium for that, but I'd do it again. When we did leave by car it was fairly easy to get in and out of town. Bit of traffic, but not bad at all.

The Valet price was a bit of a kick in pants. $35 a day....when the room is $700/night you think they'd park the damn car for free. I feel the valet "Extra" price was a bit of a "Nickle and Dime" of us. They should just add the $35 to the room fee. I wouldn't have even noticed. I'd still tip the Valet guys each time. They moved quick and very friendly. They were 5stars! Not their fault the base cost was an Add On, instead of included with the room.

There was a metal bar between the box spring and the mattress. I didn’t realize that it was sticking out until I rapped my shin on it, My shin got a painful bruise. I think that whoever had serviced the room didn’t notice that the box spring and mattress were not properly aligned, and didn’t notice the bar was exposed, which was why i hit my shin on it.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The overall experience is quite similar to other Hampton Inns we've stayed at before. The room is spacious with two comfortable queen-size beds, and it's quiet at night, allowing us to sleep well without interruptions. The location is also very good, central to downtown and the wharf.

Overall, we had a comfortable stay, but I think the price is a little too high, especially considering it was the Independence Day weekend

The room was nice, the hotel location was great. I would have given all 10s if the parking valet wasn’t a jerk. When you pay over $700 for a one night stay and $35 for parking and leave on a Sunday when city parking is free you shouldn’t have to pay an extra $30 for 20 mins after your check out time to move your vehicle. When there was PLENTY of parking for all other customers.

I feel like that valet robbed me of $30 for me to then turn around and leave after thinking it over in my car for 10 mins. I just shouldn’t have paid him. He made it seem like I did this huge thing wrong by not being back right at 1pm. The hotel got enough of my money. I won’t go to this hotel again just because of how rude the valet was, I wish I asked him his name because he is horrible with customers. I was staying for my birthday too so the fact I didn’t get that special treatment to go above and beyond for the customer just doesn’t make a customer for life.

clean, location, large rooms

ADA room had low toilet and tub, not a same-level step-in shower. My elderly disabled mom could not get off the toilet herself- even with grab bars- nor take a shower or bath. Desk chair was also low. disappointing since we had requested an ADA compliant room. Also, the breakfast was sub-par typical chain hotel fare- yuk. they ran out of things too. Parking at hotel was $35/day! cheaper lots across the street or on-street for free. there should be no charge for parking when the hotel is already expensive.
